Beach Bump Graduates!

Hello 3am insomnia!! Arghhhh

Simmy - how did your appointments go? Is everything still in track and going well? Sorry about the nanny situation, guess at least Paul is in the country thankfully so can help. Just annoying though when you shouldn't be in that position!

Mel - glad you had a nice day! You'll be fine when Alan goes back to work. Keep tiring out H and hopefully he'll sleep well at least. That's my plan! Although Annabelle is now playing so much in the garden that by the evening around 5.30/6 she's so exhausted she just gets upset and throws proper tantrums about the funniest things. I've had to put her to bed early the past couple of nights as she's just been crying for no reason except tiredness bless her!!

Busy day for me, football (everyone thinks I'm mad still taking her and running/hobbling around after her!), a trip to Aldi to get a gel bike seat, a couple of hours in the garden, cleaned the kitchen and bathrooms, then my friend and her OH came round for dinner so made a big spaghetti bolognese too. Was still in bed by 10.30 though.
Tomorrow my mum goes so we'll take her somewhere first thing, maybe soft play, then in the afternoon I have a friend coming at 3ish with her two children, and then it's the long weekend yay! Planning on having a very chilled out one, no one round and just staying close to home and concentrating on Annabelle.
Another busy week next week; Nct meet on tues and I have to get the car serviced (no labour allowed!!), weds ballet, thurs football and a hospital appointment for Annabelle. Mum and dad are here from tues pm though so it won't be too bad.
Hope you all have nice things lined up for the weekend! And it's going to be nice weather yay!

Han poor you not being able to sleep :( your plans sound great and it's so close for number two now!

Simmy why are we all doing house work and decorating?! We are mad! Hope today goes ok. Is Leo at nursery on fridays?

Mel you will be fine once Alan goes back. I'd be really nervous too but it will be ok.

Georgie you ok?

So I'm meant to be off work today but have a 9 am call. Then off into London for lunch with my old boss which will be lovely. This weekend we need to finish clearing out downstairs as they will knock through soon so building work is going ok x

Hiya! Just catching up.

That is so annoying about the nanny Simmy! I agree with Caz about saying how unreliable she is if anyone calls you for a reference. I hope you manage to catch up on your work when you can and aren't too tired out!

Wow Mel, you're doing amazing! You put me to shame with all of your exercise and I haven't just had a baby! I bet it's been nice having Alan home. Is your mum going to help out when he is back at work? I saw your cupcake photos on Facebook, they look great!

Caz I loved the pic of Ajay that was on Facebook the other day, he's such a sweetie! I hope you have a nice lunch today with your boss today. Glad the building work is going well.

That sounds like a busy week Hann! Hopefully it will tempt fate and Annabelle's baby brother or sister will make an appearance! What you said about your mum really struck a chord with me, my mum used to say things like that to me when I was pregnant with Holly. I had it through a lot of my teen years too and have struggled with eating a lot because of it. Rest assured you look fab, I wouldn't say your bump is big at all, you look quite slim naturally so I think it's just the right size for you, certainly on the smaller size, not larger! But like I say, you're a slim build so perfect for you, I don't know where your mum was coming from!

Fi, Georgie and Julie, how are you all getting on? Thank you for your message Georgie, it means a lot xx

SB how are you feeling? Not much longer until your scan now is it? Beautiful pics of Katie on Facebook, as always :)

I've not had much time to sit and read properly recently so I've been trying to catch up now.
My dad is still in a high dependency unit, we are hoping his lungs will be better soon as his heart seems fine, it's just where he used to smoke, they are having trouble opening fully after the operation which is causing low oxygen. My mum is asking me to keep Facebook updated so the family members and friends are kept in the loop but I'm finding it all a bit awkward and struggling with what to say really. It was awful when I went there yesterday but I don't really want to say that in the update as I'm trying to keep it positive! I'm going again today, it's just over an hours drive so pretty tiring but I'm hoping when I go he will be doing a bit better. X

Morning all

Hann, boo to the insomnia but wow you dont stop do you! Im so impressed you are still managing to do all these things? Can i ask how much you paid for the gel seat from Aldi? I know they have a cycle event going on and id like one for my bike, may pop up there today.

Caz, have as lovely lunch out, its another lovely day!

Simmy, no the trampoline didnt cost £3k lol actually it was a bargain at £60 if anyone was thinking of getting one.

So ive done my third run/walk session of the week this morning. It still hurts but is slowly improving and every session this week has been better than the previous. I also went for a short bike ride last night.
My parents are here tomorrow and staying over to ease me into the "doing it on my own" lol
Im at the hospital this moring too for physio on my sciatica, not telling them ive seem a chiropractor though!
Alan has just taken H into town to get his hair cut as we are having a photo shoot done for the boys next week, hope hes back by the time i need to go out. Enjoy the sun everyone!

Maria, big hugs hun i saw your fb update yesterday, at least the op in done now and your dad can focus on getting better. It must be so hard for you and your family though but its great his heart seems good so hope his lungs follow xx

Huge hugs from me too Maria. You sound so strong and I'm sure you are being a rock for the rest of the family xxx I know what you mean about Facebook as its so public and feels strange writing personal stuff on there x

Maria I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. Totally get that its awkward updating on Facebook, most people have friends on there that aren't quite as familiar so I'd feel weird too but I guess if your mum asks then you have to :( I hope when you go back today he is improving. I'll be thinking of you :hugs:

Mel - the gel seat was £3.99 which is amazing as I looked at a similar one and it was £14.99 in halfords. I cn't use it yet obviously but it looks good for the money. I also got gloves for £2.99 and padded shorts for £7.99 I think. They aren't great quality but for the money they are good. You seem to be much more mobile now so hopefully the sciatica is settling down.
Mine is horrendous, I walked up our road with Annabelle this morning- probably about 200 metres and i was in so much pain getting back, every step was excruciating. Despite that my mum has left now even though she said she'd help me all morning - I know she only left a couple of hours earlier than she said she would but she could see how much pain i was in and it would have been helpful for her to stay at least until nap time. oh well!
I have a friend over later so just hoping the afternoon will fly by at least.

Caz - hope you have a lovely day off despite the meeting this morning which must have been annoying!

Hann thanks on the back of your info we went to Aldi, each got a gel seat, padded shorts, and gloves, such bargins! so thankyou for that!
Afterwards we went to the zoo and had a lovely afternoon, it wasnt busy at all and Harrison got to feed the elephants and giraffes several times as there were no queues.
Phyiso appointment was a bit pointless, didnt learn anything i didnt already know, my nerves in lower back are still inflamed but improving, my stomach muscles are also kneeding back together. (they seperated when i had Lucas) So thats good, i want to start pilates to try and strengthen my core.
Hann yes im a lot better, still there but much improved.

Glad you got them Mel - they are good value! I'm looking forward to being able to use them. I'm hoping that once the baby is out my discs will realign and my sciatica will go. I hope anyway! Glad that yours is improving - hopefully not too much longer!

I've had a busy afternoon of Annabelle, had a friend over with her 2 year old and they both wanted the same toys at the same time, there was lots if tears from Annabelle mainly - she's become really sensitive! After they left we had a play and then she went to bed early as my back was killing by then!
So happy it's finally the long weekend! I wonder if it will be our last babyless weekend! Getting lots of pressure in my pelvis so I think it's getting ready to come out although I still think it won't be for a week or so yet.

Han - isn;'t it always the way that they all want the same toys! Typical. Ajay is like that too and ends up pushing someone else over or getting pushed over himself :( Bless them - apparently they don't learn to share until they are seven!!!!!

Mel - the zoo sounds like loads of fun. Don't you have a pass for there or something? I really want to take Ajay to a zoo. Hope your Mum are helping out this weekend and you will be fine next week I'm sure.

What's everyone up to this weekend?

We aren't doing too much. Neel's parents are coming over for dinner tonight, and tomorrow we're off to stay with my family for the day and evening. Then Monday just food shopping I expect and relaxing at home. The build is coming on so well. The walls are all up and today they finished the roof work from the carpenter so next week the roofer will come and water-proof it and get the tiles on and then they knock through! Wow! I honestly am excited. x

Your renovations sound brilliant caz! I can imagine you are excited to see the finished product. How are you feeling now? When are you getting your tests done? Hope you are okay - find time to rest!

Mel - the zoo does sound great - which one do you go to?

I'm having a tough day, I'm literally exhausted as I can't sleep much at all - managed two lots of 2 hours last night. Just tried to have a nap and it wasn't happening. I'm getting loads of pressure in my pubic bone area, almost like the baby is pushing against it, but it must be the head as its really low, so who knows. My physio thinks the bump has dropped quite a bit. Photo from today:

39+3(2).jpg

I just read back over the last couple of weeks of July beach bumps before I gave birth to Annabelle and it was quite a read. So much seemed to happen in that time, none of which I've really got now. I seemed to have days and days of off on contractions from 39+6 onwards so it will be interesting if the same happens again or if I just go into labour and thats it this time. It makes me realise how slow the May thread is though as only about 5/6 people ever post there, and everyone seems to have already had their babies in April with early sections or inductions etc so its no where near as good as our beach bumps one was.

Ladies.....im so sorry i just don't seem to find time to come on here at the moment :( really hope your all ok, keeping an eye on fb for any news of babies etc!
Much love to all of you, sorry girls xxxx

Caz, glad to hear the reservations are coming along well! We go to Colchester zoo, its only 10 mins away and yes we have annual passes so its good to just pop to for a couple of hours or so when you feel like it. Its a lovely zoo too.

Hann, oooh like the bump pic, yes it does look low now! woo hoo!! Every pregnancy is different you dont know it may be totally different this time how you go into labour etc!
I dont even look at the April thread i was on now, all my love is here lol

Georgie! glad you are ok! x

Nice day here, went to my grandads for lunch with my parents, Harrison was a complete star all day. My parents bought him a bouncy castle from tesco, reduced from £125 to £58, so as complete bargin, it is his birthday present (one of many no doubt) from them!

Im shattered now though, Lucas is part of the wide awake club and has been for hours, hoping he will sleep well later!

Hi ladies sorry haven't posted in a couple of days, inlaws are here so it's busy busy busy, plus spending every spare second clearing out the house for the work starting next week. Am reading along. We're at a wedding tmrw so will prob post on Monday properly. Xx

Hi ladies!
Sorry, we had a rough week. Scott had a mild heart attack last Saturday (he just turned 34!). Docs haven't really been able to explain it fully. Just one of those things. His heart and arteries appear to be healthy so long-term prognosis is good, but it was really scary and stressful, of course. We're pretty much expecting the hospital bill to be over $100,000, though. Trying not to freak out about it because we can only pay what we can pay. Hopefully they'll set us up on a monthly payment plan. We'll be paying for it forever, I'm sure. :nope: US health care industry is such a shame. He was asking me if he had any health insurance while having a heart attack. My response was, "Um.... no. But you're still going to the emergency room right now!" :dohh:

Other than that all is fine here. Still crazy with toddler and newborn. My house is a disaster and I don't know how it will ever be cleaned again. :haha: We still haven't moved or even packed up the house to move. I wouldn't ever get anything done at all if it wasn't for baby carriers!

Thinking of you over the next couple of weeks, Hann! So excited!

Oh my god julie is he ok? That is so scary, and the cost! Obviously health comes first but it's so unfair to have to pay a crazy amount of money like that! Hugs to you x

Georgie glad you are ok and take care of yourselves x

Han your bump looks stunning! You are so slim and neat still :) hope your weekend is good.

Mel - wow a bouncy castle awesome! I want a go!

Simmy hope the wedding is ok x

So we are at my parents today. Had a picnic In the garden as its my parents birthdays last week and this week. Then loads of playing. Ajay only got 25 mins sleep today so was soooo exhausted! We are all sleepingin one room tonight and I love hearing him breathing away - I love sleeping in the same room!

X

Oh my goodness Julie that must have been scary! What have they recommended that he does in the long term if his results show that actually he's pretty healthy? Greg has a real fear about heart attacks too as his grandad died of one however he was in his late 80s so he had a long life. Gregs constantly exercising and eating well though because of it.

Caz - so glad you are having a nice time at your parents! I can imagine its nice to share with Ajay every now and then. It's going to be weird to share with a little one again for us! I take it you haven't had to stay at the inlaws yet? By the way do your parents get jealous of the fact that you are so close in distance to the inlaws and the amount of time they get to see Ajay? I constantly get comments from mil about how much time my parents get with Annabelle - she's not mean but you can tell she's jealous

Simmy - exciting about the renovations! How are you feeling now? I need an updated bump pic soon!!

Georgie - lovely to hear from you, hope yours are all doing well!

Maria - how's your dad getting on? Thinking of you but didn't want to message and ask as I can imagine you are getting asked a lot :hugs:

Mel - I love the photo of H on Facebook - he really suits hats! I know a strange thing to say but he does! He kind of looks like a boy from an old film in them - like a proper old style cheeky chappie!

As you can see its witching hour so I'm up again! Although a small bit excited as I think I just lost the majority of my plug. It may not have been but there was a lot of it and it was thick (lovely!). No blood so I know it's not indicative of labour suddenly coming and could still be a couple of weeks but still a little bit exciting to think things could be happening albeit possibly slowly!
Had a big increase in BH over the past couple of days and lots of pressure in my pelvis too. I've been trying to squat a fair bit too to encourage the baby right down - it's pretty painful with my back though but hey ho!
Got a lazy day in the garden planned for tomorrow as its meant to be so nice. I also booked in to get some reflexology which is meant to naturally help prepare your body for labour and relax you so I'm looking forward to that on weds. Trying to get my body receptive to my sweep booked in at 40+4.
Anyway should try and get some sleep I guess!

Han wow things are starting to move yay! My parents don't get jealous I think as Ajay has an amazing relationship with them. He is so comfortable and adores them so it's fine. But they wish they could see him more.gorgeous day here- so planning a walk with my parents in the woods then we will head home at lunch when he naps. Love this time off work :)

Also we have book flights for five days in Nice in June. We aren't yet staying with neels parents but this should be when we are so a bit of a break! My parents have a flat there so really cheap! x

Julie - how scary! I hope he's doing okay now.

Hann - you're looking great! That's exciting that it seems like your body is making progress!

AFM, it's three days now until my ultrasound to find out what's going on. A bit nervous after last pregnancy, but staying positive. Last ultrasound only showed the yolk sac, and I went home crying for hours about it because I was so scared it was a repeat. Three weeks later, I'm feeling VERY pregnant, so hopefully baby will be there measuring on schedule with a healthy heartbeat! After almost a month of wondering and worrying, it'll be nice to at least get a peek and understand what's happening.

That's good that your parents aren't jealous Caz! Yay for the holiday too!

Had a nice day but in the worst sciatic pain I've ever had which is saying something for me! The baby appears to be much more central now rather than leaning to one side, maybe why the pain has stepped up a notch. Hope it's not too long as its awful!

SB - I really hope you get good news on Thursday - sending you lots of luck :)
