Beach Bump Graduates!

Yes mum and dad are here staying until the baby is born, couldn't do it without them as I'm just not mobile enough to lift Annabelle. I stopped driving yesterday as its too painful now too with my back so dad is my official chauffeur!

Had the hospital appointment today and she not only has perfect hearing but also no glue ear which is amazing so I'm hoping we will be discharged from ENT care when we go back in a couple of weeks. Birthday party in an hour, will be nice but also takes up an afternoon and stops me thinking about everything.

Yay for Annabelle having perfect ears! Hope thats the end of that for you.

Had the HV here today, Lucas is now 10lb 12, its mad how fast he is putting on weight, hes double his birth weight in 7 weeks! All good though and no issues.
They have both been asleep for the last hour so ive took the oppotunity to make some cupcakes and practice my fondant roses. Rock and roll! x

That's brilliant Mel! There's a girl on my fb group who chose to have her baby at 36 weeks (long story!) and she was 5 pounds 10, she's been plotting her weight again full term babies going on about how she's only 2nd percentile etc - it's been annoying me because she shouldn't be plotting her against full term babies as the instructions in the red book clearly state that if born before 37 weeks you plot them on the premature baby graph then when they get to the weight they are at 42 weeks (2weekd after due date) you start putting them on the graph with the rest of them. Not being funny but its obvious that a baby born at 5 pounds 10 or whatever she was would have been a 6-7.5 pound baby full term! Why go round maintaining that your child is 2nd percentile and so tiny etc when it wouldn't have been had it gone to term?! It baffles me!

Just got back from my baby appointment - and our little rainbow looks perfect!!!!! Strong heartbeat, measuring on schedule, and doctor says the chance of something happening now is next to zero, so it couldn't have went better! Here's pictures of our little one:

Yay SB that's the best news! Huge congratulations!

Just a quickie from me as I'm having huge problems with my new phone, it's driving me mad!

Just wanted to say Happy due date Hann!

Great news about the scan SB!

Glad Lucas is doing well Mel!

Will catch up properly in a bit xx

Hope your dad is improving Maria!

Had 4 hours of contractions every 3 minutes. They've stopped now annoyingly. This is what happened with Annabelle - had contractions Sat, Sun, nothing mon, then full labour tues. hoping I'll get there a bit faster this time but if not hopefully I'll go into labour by Tuesday. Really hope so!

Aah SB so thrilled for you!! that's wonderful, you can stop worrying now and enjoy your pregnancy and look forward to your baby coming... :)

Hann that's great news about annabelle's ears, hope you can put it all behind you now.

Mel, awesome weight gain from Lucas, bless him he's gonna be like his brother isn't he :) I'm totally amazed at your domestic godliness btw ;)

Maria what a pain about your phone, which one do you have now?

Sigh, i'm in the office tomorrow for a tonne of meetings, I really can't be bothered with it... And in the office again on Monday for another bunch of meetings. I guess i can't complain too much since i've hardly been at work this year! But I am looking forward to maternity leave nonetheless, i just dont have the headspace for work right now... Staying at mum and dad's at teh moment while all the work is done at home on our upstairs - should be great when it's done but i can't be bothered to move everything back now! Plus Paul's off to South Africa on saturday for a whole week which i am not looking forward to. Then he gets back for one night and he's off to Egypt for 4 days. :(

Great news sb!!!
Han - hope you're ok.
Maria hope your dad is ok xxx
Simmy hope tomorrow in the office is ok x
Mel you make having two kids look easy! Cupcakes during naps :) !!!!

Exhausted so off to bed. Will post tomorrow x

Hann here's hoping it happens faster this time! Ooh I am so excited for you! Although I realise it's just uneven contractions at the moment. Do they hurt? X

Yes they did hurt but not ridiculously, more like medium to bad period pains that came and went and then went lol! Feel terrible for Greg as he thought he would be off work today but instead he's having to go in and nothing appears to be happening again. Would love to think it will all kick off again later but who knows. So frustrating this early labour/false labour rubbish - as if labour wasn't stressful enough without it stoping and starting! I'm at that point of feeling like it might never happen and a little bit depressed. Not fun!

Hang on in there Han it will happen :) and it will be so worth it! Hope you manage to rest up today x

Thanks Caz, just had a bit of a cry and feeling a bit better but just wish Greg was at home today as I know he'd make me feel more positive. Doesn't help that on the two may threads I was on every single person bar 1 or 2 have had their babies already and the majority were first timers and early. Such a contrast to our July bumps thread when most of us went over! So I know I'm getting a disproportionate view on it all and I'm only a day over so realistically it's hardly a big deal but I'm just fed up now :(

Blimey Hann that's surprising that a lot of them have had their babies already, we're not even in the middle of may yet! Hang in there, of course it's going to happen, just try and relax up as much as you can, enjoy time with annabelle with your mum and dad's help. Can you imagine how I felt last time when my baby was due on the 11th but wasn't born until the 27th??? And in the meantime everyone had popped out their babies lol. There's no way you'll go as late as that :hugs:

Big :hugs: Hann! I was 6 days other with Holly and Naomi and it's so hard! Especially when everyone else is having babies early! I remember thinking "surely it's my turn now?!!", it seems so unfair!! I hope things happen quickly for you.

That sucks about working so much Simmy! I forgot you went so overdue, my 6 days seems like nothing now!

How is the house going Caz?

Your cakes look fab Mel!!

Dad is home finally! Thank you all for your messages and kind words. He has a long way to go but at least he can rest properly at home. I haven't been able to visit him yet as I seem to have picked up some sort of throat infection, it seems to be going now so hopefully I can pop over at the weekend.
I managed to get my phone fixed! It's an iphone 5, I've not had an iphone before and was having trouble getting itunes to work but I seem to have sorted it now thankfully!

So pleased your Dad is home Maria - what a relief. I hope he recovers really well and really quickly.

Han - thinking of you. Try and get some rest perhaps and enjoy it before baby comes?!
x

Maria that's great that your dads home although less so that you can't see him yet. I hope the infection goes soon and you can visit.

Thanks for your kind words, think I was just having a down moment this morning, realistically I know it must happen in the next 8 days surely and I just need to be patient.
It's funny you say to enjoy the rest Caz because last night when it all stopped I was in bed thinking 'oh well at least I can sleep any should enjoy that for now!'
I know I should make the most of the rest because in a week or so I'll be knackered and kicking myself for not enjoying it lol!
My parents are convinced its going to happen on Sunday for some random reason, I don't though, I think middle of next week so that's what I'm focusing on!

It would be but I doubt it will happen! It's feeling very comfy in there at the minute! :)
