Beach Bump Graduates!

Doods I got some bags from Mothercare. Theyre a fiver for 25 bags. xxx

Doods - I got mine from amazon - just look like skinny sandwich bags with ml and ounces on them!

Thanks for your messages about my friend. I have convinced her to have us over this afternoon. Hopefully that will help especially if we can get her out of the house. A change of scenery can work wonders - I hope!
Will let you know how we get on!

Doods - zoo sounds good! Which one do you go to? I went to this evening drinking thing at London zoo last year and wasn't very impressed. It doesn't have that many animals these days (how old I sound!). Our inlaws live near Chester zoo and my parents are near whipsnade - both are much better!

Simmy - gosh Leo really was up all night - don't blame yiu for handing him over! Greg slept in the spare room from 4am as she woke up then with terrible wind. Took a while to settle her but thankfully not that long! Hope you get some nap time today :hugs:

Hiya,

Linds, loving the fact Sophie is piling on the pounds!, The Chelsea outfit though? lol

Curlew, hope your first dat with Josh back at school wasnt too bad!

Simmy, def sounds like you had a rough night! Its so tough sometimes.

Doodles, glad Naomi is better and it wasnt an ear infection, hope you have a nice time if you go to the zoo, i love zoos! We have a really nice one here.

Hann, glad you had a nice time yeserday, hope you have a nice time at your friends this afternoon and you can help her out.

AFM, We had a pretty good night, Harrison slept from 745pm to 11, then till 4am so is sleeping for longer at the right times, he doesnt take hardly anytime to settle at night either, its like he know. We have given him Dentinox the last couple of days in the 7pm feed to try and help the colic and it really seems to be working. I had my first bath with him last night too and it was lovely, he really seems to love the deeper water and kicks his chubby little legs about like crazy!
Not done too much today, other than ironing, managed to get the do out in between the rain showers and after Harrison has finished feeding we are going to Matalan to try and get me some clothes!
Started my diet today too.. woo hoo!! xx

Hi all,

Glad that everyone is doing well and that the babies are thriving. Niamh is doing really well and is such a good girl, apart from her diva style strops but we are all entitled to them now and again

She is smiling lots, has the odd laugh and is beginning to babble :)

Her weight gain is steady last week she weighed in at 11.4 she is a chunk :)

Thanks for all the milk bag info :)

We're only going to Marwell as it's close to the in-laws, it's ok there. We're planning to go to Longleat with my mum next week- I haven't been for years but it seemed pretty good. We were lucky enough to go to San Diego zoo last year and it was brilliant- I'm trying to forget about it so Marwell doesn't feel too crap! :haha:

Hope it went well with your friend Hann, did she seem ok?

How did you get on at Matalan Mel? I really need to think about a diet- I've got 1 and a half stone to loose just to get back to my pre-preg weight

I hope you manage to get more sleep Simmy, glad the combi feeding's going well :)

Aw yeah we're getting the babbling too. And the odd screech of delight!

I bought Soph a fluffy snowsuit today for when Harry starts school, for the walks to and from. It's Next 0-3 which is the size she's in now, and its bloody enormous! Hopefully she'll be filling it out a bit more by September!

Two random questions for y'all...

1. What's the deal with tampons after a section...? Do i need to wait til 6 weeks before I can use them...?

2. Do i recall one of you already having bought a Halloween outfit for your LO? We have been invited to an NCT halloween party - mainly as an excuse to dress up the babies, and I want to find something mega cute :) Any ideas, please let me know!

Thanks :flower:

She is going to look so cute in a snowsuit :) the babbling is so cute, especially the serious look she has on her face while doing it!!! :)

Pumpkin outfit!! I have seen a great one for Niamhy she fill look fab and her chubby cheeks will fit right in. :)

Thanks Claire, where did you see the pumpkin outfit for niamhy?

They'll have LOADS out soon, Simmy. All the supermarkets and baby shops. I got a spider one for Dragon from Woolies (i miss Woolies :( ) and it was brilliant!

Hi everyone,

Mel - unfortunately Neel is not off this week, he is off next week so looking forward to it sooooo much, only three more days to go! I would love to get some new clothes but have decided to hold off as I still have a stone to lose. None of my old clothes fit me still, I'm looking gorgeous in maternity jeans which fall off my still!!!

Clare - so glad Niamh is doing well, Ajay started smiling on the weekend and it's lovely!

Han - hope your friend is doing alright. It sounds like she is having such a hard time, my heart goes out to her.

Doods - hope you get more sleep.

Curlew - glad you feel great this morning.

Linds - so glad Sophie is gaining weight, she seems to be doing so well!

AFM - we had the HV here today, Ajay now weights 9 lbs 4 ozs so is putting on weight well. She gave me some books plus lots of tips on routine (don't start yet!), feeding and activities etc. Tomorrow Ajay and I have our 6 week check up and Neel is coming too which is great - it's nice for him to be involved.

Oh after I posted read everyones comments about halloween outfits. Neel wants to get one for Ajay too!!!! Mamas and papas had some but probably expensive. Will def be getting one plus some Xmas outfits too!

I have Harry' Christmas top but I reckon it will be too small for Soph by then, it's 0-3 I think. She has an outfit for Christmas day though.

Doodles, i have over 2 1/2 stone to lose to get back to pre pregnancy weight!

Caz, glad that Ajay is putting on weight, gonna get Harrison weighed on Thurs!

Linds, im not suprised you have Sophies christmas outfit i remember the pics of her wardrobe many weeks before she was born!!

So the clothes shopping went REALLY badly, so much so after having tried some things on i ended up in tears in the middle of Matalan as nothing fit me, i must be a lot bigger than i thought. Anyhow, Alan persevered with me (not easy!) and i ended up with a couple of pairs of jeggings, a pair of jeans and a few tops. He also dared to suggest in the nicest possible way some of those control pants, so i bought some and must say im impressed.
My problem at the moment is i still have a very prominent pregnancy tummy and i just dont get it, have always had a flat stomach so its hard to deal with, also love handles and back fat which again ive never had so not very happy with myself at the mo. Am nowhere near getting into most of my old clothes so Alan said he would treat me to a few bits.
I know i have the disapline to get back into shape, i have a target of my wedding next year around August/Sept so im notgoing to go on a starvation diet, its just weird having such as different body shape now. After my second child ive also decided to have a boob uplift as well! Not for a while though!

We did buy a very cute blazer jacket for Harrison though, am quite impressed with there baby things

Sorry the shopping was so stressful Mel, but yay for getting some stuff that fits. I am fitting into some prepreg stuff but only a limited number. Between tryning to work out nursing clothes and fitting my saggy belly in, getting dressed is a struggle!!
BTW any hints on when the horrid flap of skin above my bikini line will go away? Or is it going to require exercise?(eugh!)
So proud of my wee fella, he's gone from 8lb9 to 10lb5 in a month! He's averaged 1oz per day in the past 2 wks!!

Oh goodness Mel that shopping experience sounds hideous, it has made me scared of venturing out. Bless Alan for suggesting the control pants. I'm glad you ended up finding some stuff. Hey dont worry give yourself a break, you've just had a baby. My stomach is still mega pregnant too. :hugs:

Fi - i'm wondering about that horrible flap too - yuck!

Fi did you have a csec? If you did, it's permanent. This is why you never see Posh Spice with her belly out :D
