Beach Bump Graduates!

Oh and I thought I'd post a pix of Elliot - this is from today :cloud9:

Freckles he should be having jabs at 8, 12 and 16 weeks. Speak to your HV because that doesn't seem right to me x

Like many others I have been reading but not posting - don't always have much to say/add...

Linds, glad your appointment went well and that Soph did so well :)

Sherri, I know what you mean about feeling like you don't have enough time for Greg - I often feel the same with Cameron when I am "stuck" feeding Hailey for what feels like ages...hope Colby's colicky stage doesn't last much longer...As for weight and trying to get rid of it - I also COMPLETELY understand!

Happy belated Caz! I remember my 30th - total piss up (before babies) Hope you had a good day :)

RE: weight gains - well done everyone :) - I should qualify that - babies gains, not ours!

BV - glad you made it to your LLL get together (on the right day- LOL) I have done that before for appointments....

Mel, sounds like it would be a good book :)

Freckles, Elliot is adorable :)

RE: jabs - over here babies get them at 2 months, 4 months etc.....

AFM - Hailey is doing really well - continues to sleep straight through the night - 10:30 - 7:30 usually. She is smiling all the time and babbling too - it's great!!

Hope you all have a great week end - my dad coaches one of the local University Men's Football (Soccer) teams so we will be heading to the pitch to watch a couple of matches...

caz - happy birthday for yesterday - sorry its late

simmy - so cool you managed to go out with your friends and have a drink or two. Looking forward to my first grown up night out lol.

Mel - loving Harrisons poo diary stories.

dm - glad sophie coped with her jabs okay. good weigh in too.

freckles - logans jabs are when he is 10 weeks due to the hv being on holiday. they said as long as the right no of weeks are in between it was fine. Lovely picture of elliot.

Hann - well done on going out in London with a pram, its challenging enough being out in my local town.

AFM - doing fine and have manged to get the first week of Josh being back at school done. Both my boys slept til 8am yesterday which was a bit of a pain as I had been up since 7am to get everything ready for us going to school so missed the lay in myself!!

Bec - gorgeous photo! If I remember correctly you work near Oxford street, if so then no I wouldn't recommend going into London! I did a train to Waterloo, tube to bank (all fine) to visit my work. The hard bit was the central line from bank to marble arch, carrying the pram out of the tube station, visiting Greg at his work for 30 nins, pushing the pram down Oxford st to bond st, getting the jilubilee to waterloo then back up to train. Not fun and lots of carrying!

Curlew - hope you get a rest this weekend. You are like super mum!

Gw - still so jealous of your sleeps! I can't wait for Annabelle to sleep through!
Enjoy the football!

Just up for the night feed - means I should be up again net 5-6. Greg is meant to be on nappy duty but managed to 'sleep through' her crying! So convenient..

Was doing some research about the jabs and also read that as long as the right number of weeks are between them then it's ok. I might call the HV like you suggested Linds - just to be sure.

Omg Hann that Sounds like a nightmare journey in
London. Bet you wont be doing that again in a hurry!! You're right that my office is quite near Oxford St. Oh and I dont think it's just your Hubby that skips through the cries...

Wow gw that's fab Hailey is sleeping through the night! Elliot had a few 7 hour nights but lately it's 5-6 hours which is still good compared to what it used to be!

Hi all,

thanks for your birthday messages!

Curlew-glad your kids are sleeping longer, sounds lovely!

Freckles-love the piccie of Elliott, so cute!

Han-London sounds like a nightmare! I couldn't do that yet but glad you got home in one piece!

Simmy-hope the hangover has gone!

Mel-yay for Harrison doing another huge poo! So funny!

Sorry I can't remember anything else, on iPhone.

Afm - great day yesterday! We went out for lunch and then Neel organized a suprise meal with loads of friends for dinner. Was amazing and I was really spoilt.

In laws baby sat and they had Ajay in their room from 2 am so we slept soundly. I know this is super ungrateful but I feel a bit funny abut it. I woke up, Ajay and Mil/Fil still asleep and I want to see him. I miss him so much and just really want to be with him now. Also I find mil is amazing - always helpng and adores him - but sometimes I want tO say he is my son, please don't treat him like he is yours. She told my fil she was the first to see him smile (not true) and I heard her on the phone saying to fil I'm holding my son, sorry I mean grandson. Neel says it was a slip of the Tongue but I feel ashamed to say I'm a little jealous. He is my little boy. Neel says as long as Ajay is happy I shouldn't worry. Also she is amazig and so supportive. I'm being ungrateful I think...

Anyway I miss him loads. Can't wait till he wakes up xxx

Feel terrible now - saw what I have written in black and White and feel awful. MIL is great with him and brilliant to me, I'm such an ungrateful person. Really sad now - I think it's my low mood making me feel bad about everything.

Caz, glad you had a great birthday :) I can totally understand what you mean about your MIL. It's tough to share. Don't feel bad about venting. I'm grateful mine is fairly respectful when it comes to monopolizing Jill during visits (she always asks permission). After a while though I'm glad I get to steal her back to feed her.

Freckles, great photo of Elliot! Love the outfit :)

Hann, carrying the stroller by yourself through London sounds awful. Have you considered a carrier? It got me through grocery shopping yesterday.

Curlew, very impressive you can get ready and leave the house on time. My best has been 10am and I only have one kid

Lately I've been getting tons of smiles. Wish my phone camera was better. My phone is so easy to reach for but the resolution is crap. I hate to admit it, but I'm only upgrading my iphone to get the better camera. I can't believe they postponed the release of the new one. Don't they know I "need" it? :haha:

What cute photos BV!! I'd hold out for the new iPhone - meant to be released in sept late on I think! I do have a carrier but it was too far to go without having her lying down I thought.

Caz - don't worry about what you said about mil. I always complain about mine, to be fair mine is a nightmare though ha ha!! I would feel the same though about them sleeping with your baby. Also of course you miss him and want to see him first thing. I'd be tempted just to sneak in and get him! As for the 'son' slip, I'd be thinking that was odd too - but then my mil calls Annabelle her baby grrrr. I have her staying on weds for 24 hours - except me ranting (prewarning there people - feel free to ignore me!).

So Annabelle woke at 7.30 again and screamed, Greg slept through it all of course - as he had the whole night! So 3 hours sleep for me really! Feeling sleepy but will hopefully get a nap later.

Thanks for the reassurance guys - I know it's natural. I love the way having Ajay has given Neel's parents a new lease of life. I just feel torn as I adore having the help and the company of my MIL but want him to be my baby. I know it's a bit selfish - wanting my cake and eat it, but... oh well, I could go on forever, never mind!

Got friends over for lunch today so looking forward to that.

Hann - Neel sleeps through Ajay crying as well, he wakes up but not half as quickly as I do. Probably our materal instinct!

BV - love the photos of Jillian, so cute!

x

Okay...this is ridiculous....Max has been awake for over 12hours!! Just some 15 minute naps and constant booby snacking! I am losing my mind....I haven't slept since 1am!! I am at my wits end and don't know what to do!! He hasn't had any real sleep to speak of like all of your babies....2-3hours maximum....I have no idea what is wrong with my child...why won't he sleep???!!!??? Getting very frustrated....wish my hubby was home so I could grab a bottle and go away for awhile. (bottle for baby...not for mama) hehe..

Sorry for the one sided post....love all the baby pictures! As soon as hubby gets home I'll get some posted....

Jenni do you think you have hit the 6 week growth spurt just a bit early? I know that i've read that the 6 week one is tough - I have Annabelles this week. I hope he tires soon and that you get some rest - he should really. Not sure if this is practical if you have another child to look forward to but why not do a lie down feed so you can doze when you feed?
It could give you a bit of rest at least? :hugs:

Thanks hann...I'm not sure if this is a growth spurt or not....it really sucks though! I have tried laying down to feed...I can't seem to get the hang of it...my breasts are still fairly small and he has trouble reaching without me almost smothering him... I'm still just a small b cup size...maybe I'm just doing it wrong... Anyway...I bought some bottles and formula for my sanity and if push comes to shove at least I can get his tummy full for a bit, so we can rest. I feel better just knowing I have it since I'm alone right now...I feel really bad for feeling this way but I just need someone else to come take this child for a bit...mama needs a break!

Having a mummy that is totally exhausted isnt good for any baby, if you have to give him formula to help him settle and save your sanity then so be it....just my opinion of course :)

Oh Jenni poor you, sending you big hugs.

Hope you are having a good weekend Han.

Aw Jenny I really feel for you, I agree with the others about maybe giving some formula - it's no good you being exhausted esp with Audrey to look after... Don't feel bad :hugs:

Hann I bet you're not looking forward to your MIL coming to stay! Feel free to rant away here, thats partly what this forum is for!

Lovely pics of Jill BV!

Ladies that are expressing - how long can you keep milk in the fridge for? I read in a few places it was 5 days but I've just got a new steriliser and in the instructions it says 24 hours?!
