Breastfeeding Support - 6 months and beyond!

Have you gotten your period back yet flora? My sex drive was pretty minimal but once my period started coming back, the sex drive came back full force. It helps that my DH is gone more than he's here. When he's finally here we are like rabbits but that's because we are making catch up.

Nope, still no period. It's certainly taking its own sweet time, lol. not that i'm complaining, lol, as it's nice being without them. I'm really hoping that once it's back, i will get a sudden boost of random hormones which will either make me a) crazy or b) horny... or maybe both, lol.

I bet you'll be pleasantly surprised than! I think the fact that my body is ovulating again triggers to my brain that it's time to be horny again.

My sex drive came back when my periods did. It must be the hormones when I'm ovulating telling me that I want to get jiggy with it

I never really had a sex drive (like ever) and to be honest still don't now, even with the return of my period. I can take it or leave it if i'm honest. i do try to put out for OH's sake though

I dont have a sex drive with this pregnancy I did when periods where back hence how I concieved this one lol I do not miss a period anyway and when I was bf and periods where there they where not sore and very light, win. My god it could be another year before I see it or def more! whohooO"

I've had awful pains these last couple of days - kinda a mix between my pcos pain and period pain. I havent had a period yet and doubt I will between the exclusive boobie and contracep implant in my arm. But god my ovaries hurt!!

I have zero sex drive too. No periods yet either. I'm taking the mini-pill (don't know why since we never have sex, LOL) and I was wondering if that was affecting my sex drive as I had that problem with the regular pill before. But maybe it's breastfeeding hormones too.

today Sophia has pretty much refused her morning and afternoon breastfeeds she just isn't interested, had a couple of sucks then went off to play. That only leaves her bedtime feed, i have a feeling she is going to slef wean quite early

No AF here yet either and I do love it! I would be jumping on the TTC bandwagon but unfortunatly OH and I decided after loosing Kaleb, we would try for one more, and no matter the outcome, stop trying and get my tubes tied (we knew the next delivery would be scheduled section). I regret it immensly and maybe someday we can get a reversal as I am only 26 years old now.

I just got mine back actually. For the entire pregnancy, and afterwards until around last month I could care less if I had any... now I'm back to ALL THE TIME lol... If I could get pregnant, I probably would be already LOL

Cleckner- Oh wow, he seems to be away a lot! Brave woman you are Mark wants to join the Canadian Forces in the next year or so... once Kayleigh is a little older but it does worry me. He wouldn't be away like your OH though. Kudos to you for getting through and supporting him

Mum2J&K- What happened with your son Kaleb if you don't mind my asking? I'm so sorry for your loss. You don't have to share if you don't want to of course. ..and DH is gone alot but it's really all we know. We got together in highschool and he joined the navy shortly after so most of our relationship was long distance in the beginning. He does switch to shore duty every few years so than he is home every night again. But it is 3 years on sea duty, than 3 years on shore. We aren't sure what we plan on doing when it comes time to sign up again though. He gets SO upset leaving Emma. Before it was okay when it was just us, but now that we have a baby and are thinking about more, it's not as easy. But we manage!

What age is Sophia again? Hopefully it's just a phase and she will be back to loving her boobie feeds soon.

No internet all last night or today, felt lost! Hi to the newbies :wave:

Sex drive...think I used to have one! Lol! I had an episeotomy (sp) and the stitches didn't hold - tmi, sorry - and still not fully healed. The skin is very thin and often cracks on the scar line so sex is uncomfortable, esp when combined with nerve damage inside! W came out very fast when I finally figured out how to push! MW never even had chance to get a second MW in the room - out he popped!

Never had a period yet either (have a mirena coil fitted).....think the bf hormones play a big part in the lack of sex drive for me too. Oh understand but feel I should make more of an effort sometimes but just too bloody tired!

Shiv - W would drop feeds to pick them up again in a couple days, he's fed loads the last few nights and picked up one during the day, but last night and today back to normal, comfort plays a huge part in W bfs now, not sure he ever wants a 'drink' of boobie juice, he loves his food and water!
