 How generous of him to want to share!!

on other note one of my boobs must be turning to colostrum again, noting comes out when i massage and squeeze and william gags when I give him that one, yet the right breast i have seen him blabbering milk out of his mouth when laughing and feeding so I know theres some in there. he hasnt taken the left one in a while which is prob it drying up and turning to colostrum.

florabean hope you are feeling better now. :flower:

Congrats lynnikins.

I am knackered today. Was up earlier than usual (plus all the times K woke me during the night!) as had to travel to a course which was a couple of hours away. Thankfully my boss picked me up so I didn't need to be too awake to drive myself :haha: I was later home too so its been a long day. I expected K to be at me for the boobie as soon as I got in the door but he gave me a lovely cuddle & let me sit down first :haha:

dosnt last the bitting they do it a few times by accident. though william can fall asleep now with teeth around it but thats only now he starting that. He wont always bits, I always say you dont bite when you suck do you? lol

yeah hes just crying for a feed then biting more than sucking at the moment which is whats getting to me im trying to pre-empt it as much as i can but hes so quick hes just been fed 15 min ago and is demanding another feed already caus he didnt get to finish the last one caus he bit me

I let a yelp out and wiliam would look at me when he was younger, he did stop its not done on purpose, teething dosnt help either.

Hi all! :hi: Mind if I join in? I've only just noticed this thread.

Bella has been breastfeeding for 16 months now, and we're still going strong! She nurses about 4 times per day.. The "2 boobie breakfast", nap time, bedtime, and she usually sneaks in a late afternoon one somewhere.

I have sympathy for the other mums that experience shirt pulling. Bella is quite aggressive about it sometimes. She pulls the top of my shirt out with both hands, leans over to look down my shirt, then starts laughing hysterically! At that point, I know I need to hurry up and whip them out!:haha:

I have no idea when she'll self-wean. We're ttc #2, but BF is putting a damper on that. For now, Bella's enjoying being the only child to get my attention!

EJ has started pulling at my shirt and trying to latch on through it when hes hungry if im holding him so i end up not holding for the 15 min prior to feed time so i dont end up with a wet shirt lol

Hi DolceBella :flower: 16 months is awesome.

Kaiden went through a spell of laughing at my boobs sometimes when he'd pull down my top.

lynnikins - K also went through a phase of biting. It was the same time that he really cut down on BF during the day. I would get home from work and offer the breast and he just wasn't that interested and would bite me. I'd just put him on the floor saying 'no biting' and then he would usually ask for a feed later on. I think part of it was teething and around that time he was really starting to get mobile and just wanted to explore rather than BF. Thankfully the biting didn't that last that long but it took a few weeks before he got back into feeding more during the day.

Heyy guys, I've not been around for a while, butb we're still going at just over 8 months! I really want to carry on through to his 1st birthday at least!

Although lately I've been feeling like I should take him off!I have no intention to, but I've been feeling a bit picked on lately, my DH is supportive and my mum is too...but friends who have weaned off boob onto bottles keep looking shocked when I say he's still BF! Hmmm...suppose I'll get through it! x

Hey girls! Welcome to the newbies!

As for biting, I'm having the same issues with Emma. She didn't get her first tooth until 12 months 1 week old. So I was good for so long and never had to worry about teeth. But since than she has been getting a tooth every other week basically. :dohh: So she's always biting me when the next one is about to come in. So once I start healing up from one tooth, she bites again with the next. At times my nips feel the same as they did with the newborn stage. But I figure it's only a phase and we'll get through it like anything else. I usually just say no and yelp really loud and it scares her to the point of crying and she doesn't do it again that day. :haha:

Emma still feeds quite frequently. She doesn't seem like she plans on stopping anytime soon that's for sure. At least 10 feeds a day still. And we still have some nights that she wants to clusterfeed and just cuddle with me. :cloud9: Those are the days when she is teething the worst. It's so nice though. I love how cuddly she is and I really think BFing is part of that closeness because she just loves sitting and hugging into me even if we aren't BFing. :cloud9: DH saw us sitting together the other night and he seemed to come to a realization and just simply said 'you guys look perfect together'. :D He's gone so much and it's nice that he notices something like that.

well im now offically here as hes over 6months now :happydance: and he seems to have stopped biting which is a relief,

I would like to welcome you officially lynnikins to the "extended" breastfeeding society where its normal for us and abonormal for some others., From here on in you think you have been asked when you will wean your baby thats just a taste of whats to come for however long you decide to go past the cut off date created by forumla companies to sell follow on milk. 6 months marks the spot and such questions will arise as "when are you moving to formula" "your only meant to breastfeed for 6 months" or if you have a fab health visitor like me its "your milk is no good after 6 months" followed by shocked faces and asking why you wish to continue on with this ball and chain they regard as breastfeeding while looking at your puzzled like your a glutton for punishment.

ah the joys of feeding what was once considered normal thats now abnormal.
