Early 20's and TTC - 17 BFPs!

Oh Hun :(

In the uk it's a lot harder to get referred to specialists because it all has to go through your go unless you have private healthcare. I am considering going private and getting health insurance but it just seems so expensive when I can get it for free on the NHS.

I came on this morning. Quite heavy too so I had a bit of a crappy morning at work. I was starting to think I was waiting for my BFP but obviously not. It was probably just a. Weird cycle.

It's hard to get a specialist here in Canada too, it has to be referred through your family doctor. I'm sure he/she won't refused. It can't hurt to try :)

Thanks girl :hugs: I'm better today! Just have my sad days after losses. It's almost becoming routine :/

I love my doctor but since we'll be trying for a full year in February, I'm thinking we may try a specialist. Although my doctor has done a ton for me. She's scanned my uterus and ovaries and that came out great. They did a hysteroscopy to see what was going on and everything looked "perfect". Although I do have a tilted uterus that makes it easier to conceive because of how far back it's tilted. The swimmers don't have to work as hard. It explains why I had terrible back pain and labor with my first!
I think we'll give it a couple more months and if there's another loss or no success, I'll make the call.

Hope you get yours too!! :hugs:

I'd make the call as soon as you hit the 1 year mark (they won't do anything until then). It can take awhile for the first appointment, it was a 6 month wait for me.. So it's better to do it sooner rather than later. It's awesome you have an amazing doctor though, you're so lucky!

Wow! 6 months! I think they have a specialist in the same practice so I don't Think it'd be too long!
It was by chance that I found my doctor too! I know a nurse that works there and she advised a different doctor but when I needed to be seen sooner, she was the only one available.

Yeah, I got referred in June, and the appointment was booked for Dec 6th. Luckily my family doctor managed to do most of the necessary testing and found my problems before the appointment so we could move right to the game plan :) Hopefully you wouldn't have to wait that long.

Right. Still trying but more NTnp now because attack is too draining for both of us. If it happens it happens!

I haven't posted in awhile but Monday I got my first ever bfp after trying for 11 months :) good luck to you ladies :dust:

Hey ladies! It's meee!

Just stopping by to see how everyone is doing. Things are the same here. DH is leaving Jan. 27th for basic if all goes as planned. I started getting infections again about a month ago. :c on my 4th round of antibiotics. Hopefully I'll be well enough for one more cycle of trying before he leaves. It will be one more cycle then the doctors will start probing me.

Thanks Dottiee :)

Good Luck to all of you & don't give up :dust:

I purchased a book called the Infertility Survival Handbook. It's AMAZING. It mentioned trying to to wipe the slate clean after every new diagnosis, treatment, or monumental day. The New Year will be a new chapter for us.. with new challenges and hopefully success. We can do this ladies <3

Congrats Jett!!! Hope you have a smooth pregnancy.

Hoping for more bfp's in the new year!!:hugs:

Thanks babydoll so far so good & my first appointment is January 17th :)

Is that with the midwife?
I'm really curious as to how other countries do it. My first midwife appointment isn't until Jan 7th and I'll almost be 14 weeks. Until then we just see GP for scans and any thing else.

I don't think I'm going to have a midwife. But it'll be my first ob/gyn appointment & I should be able to see our baby too so first scan :)

That's exciting. The only way we don't have midwives is if you pay for a private ob/gyn who has their own midwife you see as well.
I'm currently trying to book in for a 12 week scan but having trouble as the clinic is always closed (due to holidays). Thinking of going through another clinic now.

Congratulations Jett!

I'm really chilled out this month. I've gone past the stress and the tears and all I want is a take home baby. I o'd on DH's birthday and I've been so relaxed his whole cycle. I don't mind when it happens as long as it happens. Having seen my family friends baby (who's the same age as my mum) who was born on the day I o'd I'm much more relaxed and am like that'll be me whether it's in 9 months or 19 months. I've been trying for 10 so hopefully it'll happen soon!!!

Good luck little one this cycle I was a lot more relaxed we ttced for 11months. Next month would've been a year of trying. :dust: :dust:
