:hi: ladies!

I just finished reading my journal from last year and decided to do it again this year!

We are in a different house (My grandparents) as my grandfather passed away in July, and my grandmother couldn't keep up the house on her own so we are staying in it for her so it isn't left empty.

The house is the same one my mother (who lives across the street :D) lived in growing up, so it is going to be a very bittersweet Christmas. I plan to start everything in the next few weeks once my son's birthday is finished up etc.. and will post what we make/buy/craft in here to share with you all.

Hope you all enjoy and feel free to stalk away :D

Will update more soon!

Hi Eve!!!

I loved your journal last year. Im so sorry about the loss of your Grandfather :hugs:

Thanks hun. He was like a father to me, a very special one at that. We were so very close and he just loved my kids to bits. Will be a hard Christmas without him, as every year we would come up to their house (where we live now) and visit Christmas Eve, as a tradition.

I am very excited to decorate the house though! The tree will be in the same place it was when my mother was a little girl <3 She remembers sitting atop the stairs looking down, so excited! I hope to recreate that this year!

Awww hon sorry about your Granddad hugs.

Cant wait to read your journal!

Sorry to hear about your grandad :hugs:

Can't wait to read again this year!

Thanks ladies :) Unless Jacob kicks up a big stink, he will be with us through Christmas Eve and Morning this year, which is exciting for me! I don't want to force him to stay here though... and I had him every Christmas up until last year, so I totally understand if he wants to spend it with his dad and family again.

I plan to do a lot of crafts this season as well, just as last year! Pinterest is my best friend :haha:

One thing I plan to do again this year is the Candy cane sleighs. I did them for the kids I Nanny last year and they loved them! I am going to get the supplies early and hopefully have enough to do 10 kids :)

I wrapped each candy bar/gum in different wrapping and did the ribbon and bows in the kids fav color! They turned out really good :)

I might nab those sleighs this year!

love the sleigh idea!! how do the candies stay on the candy canes? do you stick them on with tape or does the ribbon do a good enough job to where they dont move around?

Sorry to hear about your Grandad :flower:

Loved your journal last year

Those sleighs look awesome. Looking forward to reading your journal :flow:

The ones in the picture aren't the ones I did mind you. Mine were coloful. I did red, green, blue and gold ribbon, and matching bows. I also did more festive paper lol. I wish I could find a picture of the ones I did :(

I used a hot clue gun once everything was wrapped (a little dab) and then the ribbon did the rest of the work! It turned out awesome!

I also need to re-do the snowflakes this year as they were broken during our move. I think I will do 3-4 this year in different colors. Our living room is small and has dark paneling on the walls so I need to brighten it up big time through the holidays!

I will probably pick up these supplies starting next week, as I really need to restock my paint supply...

This is something i am thinking of doing for the kids I look after, as part of their gift with the candy sleighs. I want to get them a Christmas book too and wrap it like this :) I think it's super cute!

The wreaths I would love to make too... the snowman with yard in our door and the other one in the house on the wall maybe.

I also want to do something like this with our stairs this year. There is a space at the bottom of our stairs where the tree will go, so I want to make that whole area very Christmassy.

I finished Jacob's Christmas list! :D

Here it is!

A second PS3 controller

TWD Survival instinct Game for PS3

Mortal Combat Game for PS3

Game *unsure what one yet*

Game *unsure what one yet*

Percy Jackson books (box set)

Hunger Games (box set)

Magic Puzzle spiderman

Iron man 3D puzzle

Pelican snow saucer

Camo/orange neck warmer (hunting)

Orange hunting hat

Ice fishing rod

BB Gun

I also plan to do a Christmas Eve bag for him, even if he is at his dads.

It will cost right around $400 with tax, which is over my budget by a little but I plan to wait for sales as well :)

I am working on Kays still. Lots of Dora stuff for her. I am keeping their $$ amount around the same, and Jacob understands his costs the same or more, but looks like less... he gets it but I feel bad anyways :(

Great list hon I'm sure he'll be over the moon!

Thanks! I hope so!

Kay is the hard list this year!
