Haha Anniemac, that's the best! What a clear picture of that hand!!! So adorable :)

Pri- I hope everything went well at your appt. :) If you feel you need to switch, go for it. You need someone that you completely trust and are comfortable with.

Panda- Woohoo for clothes on clearance! I will have to check out the old navy by me. I have been looking, but most places only have a few maternity clothes and they are extremely expensive.

Anniemac- That is adorable!!! What a clear pic!

AnnieMac2- That picture is adorable!

I am starting to get so impatient for our gender scan. I really want to know the gender, but I also just want to see baby for the first time.
I think I may have just felt them for the first time today though.. I got a weird rippling sensation in my stomach.

Annie: What a lovely pic!!! loved it!!! and no gender yet??

Fading: you havent had an u/s yet?? when are you having it?

Panda: glad you had fun at the yoga class! I checked by me and the only place that offer pre-natal yoga just closed their class for the trimester.... found another place that has sort of a pre-natal, but it is not for preggo only. I will see if I can try it out tomorrow night maybe.

Duster and Jules: how often are you feeling the baby? This is sooooo cool!!!

AFM:
I definitely need to change obgyn. I'm just not feeling the doctor and the nurses / assistants are getting on my nerve. The same one that had asked about my 2015 deductible asked me again! I could not believe it...

I asked for all my reports, to fax to another obgyn my friend recommended, now I'm waiting for them to call me back to schedule the appt. Please pray they will "accept" me.

Also, went to dentist for cleaning. Also a new dentist. We moved not too long ago, so I am looking to changing everything closer to the new place.
I had done a small procedure back in Feb that my be inflamed or infected. They did not want to take the X ray, they say is better to wait past 20 weeks, and then they will see what can be done. Meanwhile they told to me to check with the obgyn if I could take antibiotics if needed, for the inflammation.

xfading: I seem to remember you saying 17 weeks is when you are doing the gender scan so must be next week??? What day? That's really exciting! Esp since it's your first ultrasound, too! That must also mean the honeymoon is coming up soon!

Pri: I'm sorry you are frustrated with your obgyn. I know how frustrating doctor administrative people can be and it's so important they are on top of that paperwork stuff because when they aren't, you start questioning what else they aren't paying attention to! I hope the new doctor takes you on and eases your mind.

PriandRafa- No, I haven't had an ultrasound yet. For a healthy pregnancy, they only do the 20 week one in my city. We are paying for a private gender scan though, which is the 14th.

Panda- I will be 17+5 for the ultrasound. It's on Monday the 14th, so just under two weeks. :)
And yes it is. Our wedding is now in.. 24 days. Meaning honeymoon is in 26 days. It's coming up so fast.

Hi Fading:
lots going on!! Everything for the wedding ready already? :) :) :)
So exciting!!!!

So you find out the gender on the 14 and me on the 17!!! Or sooner if I can get an appointment with the new doctor before that :)

Duster:
how was your back to work? How are you feeling?

Hope everyone enjoys and have a safe long weekend!!:happydance:

PriandRafa0 Yes. Lots and lots going on. We have all of the big stuff for the wedding done. It's only the small things left like making our music list, buying items for our candy buffet, finalizing our day of timeline, and we have to write our vows still.
This week is our last week to relax and then it's going to be non-stop after that.
The week of the 14th we have our ultrasound that Monday, we're meeting our JP Tuesday to finalize our ceremony script, Thursday I have a midwife appointment and we are taking a tour of the birth center, and Friday I go for the final dress fitting.
I really hope I have enough energy. :haha:

Annie: what an awesome pic!

Pri: sorry that your OB is not a good one. Keep us updated!

fading: good luck with all the wedding stuff. Fx you have all the energy you need!

Back to work went well, but it was ridiculously hot. It got up to 90*F in my classroom and with no air conditioning and no windows there was little reprieve. I made it through, thankfully, and this week is supposed to be much cooler. I did tell all my kids that I'm expecting, and they are all very excited for me. Many of the older ones (8th graders) were asking who I got pregnant with haha- the joys of urban school- and I explained about the fact that I am married and just because someone doesn't wear a wedding ring doesn't mean we aren't married. For us, we just don't need the rings to know we love each other. Some do wear their rings all the time for whatever reason and that's cool too. But I talked about the fact that trust is the most imprtant thing, and I think I taught them something new. :)

I am not feeling Bip a lot, maybe once or twice a week right now. I seem to feel the most when I'm spooning DH- so my belly is pressed against something. I think I'm starting to know how flips feel- like a big sigh in my stomach. The kicks just feel like a poke from the inside.

We spent the day doing chores outside today; we have 15 chickens (1 rooster just learning to crow, 14 hens not quite laying age yet) so we cleaned the coop and got their laying boxes ready so we can put them up when we get our first egg! My 2 rabbits have also been in the basement this week because it's too hot outside for them- but they should be able to go back out tonight as it is supposed to cool off.

Any strange cravings for you ladies? My most recent are M&M's and Kraft American cheese (those terrible things individually wrapped in plastic!)

Hope you all had a great weekend. Back to work tomorrow!

Fading: it really sounds like a busy week for you next week!
Busy and exciting!!! :happydance:
and the excitement will probably win and you will not feel tired! Can't promise the same for the weekend, though :)
So fun!

Duster: glad all went well going back to work, but wow, 90F and no AC is way too much!! Glad things are cooling down on your side!
And kids are just too much! Glad you could teach them something :)
And it also seems like you have your hands full with the animals.
Sounds like fun too!!! When I was a little girl my family had a ranch and I used to love "hanging" out with the chickens LOL

AFM: I guess God is teaching me patience...
The new doctor I want to switch to, still have not called me back to confirm they will take me, and to make the appointment..
Meanwhile I had to call the current one, asking them to fax something to my dentist because I will have to take antibiotics for a tooth that is giving me problems. Waiting for the dentist to confirm they received so they could also make an appt for me to see what is going on.

Also I dont believe I felt the baby move yet. I feel some very light cramps every now and then, but I dont think this is the baby actually moving.

I will use my doppler tonight to sleep better.... or to panic!

Good news is we used the Labor Day Sale and we bought a king size mattress. Our bed was just getting uncomfortable so we decided to upgrade. Also bought a body pillow, but got it at Amazon, so need to wait for it to arrive.

Hope you all are doing well!!!
Oh, and Duster, no specific cravings for me, but I just can't eat healthy food. Put a side of veggies in front of me and I run!

Hi Ladies! Had another regular checkup this morning and got to hear heartbeat on doppler. Woohoo!

Fading: Wow, so much going on! I hope all goes smoothly and the excitement gives you that adrenaline rush to get it all done then you can get to relax and enjoy the fruits of your labors.

Duster: Yikes! 90 degrees at work is a tough way to go back when you are pregnant. Glad it went okay. Very cute story about the kids :)

Pri: I'm sorry you are having tough time with docs. I have Crohn's disease and deal with doctors A LOT for years and years so I know how frustrating just getting appts and simple paperwork faxed is when people don't follow through. It's a very draining experience. I hope everything gets sorted out quickly for you. Congrats on the new mattress though and body pillow! Hope you get nice ZZZZZs!

AFM: Sorry for TMI, but I've been soooo constipated that I was worried it was affecting baby even though I know rationally it's just part of pregnancy. Hearing heartbeat was relief. I'm been trying to eat more fiber, drink more water, exercise and stretch more but sometimes I just get very bloated. I had surgery for Crohns and only have a partial colon so I think it's just amplified. Anyone else have constipation? Have you found something that helped? I'm reluctant to try OTC meds which doc recommended, but I may.

Camping was fun. I was nervous about it but hubby was a sweetheart and got up to walk me to bathrooms at 2am each night. Fortunately I was able to only get up once in middle of night and then early morning and was fine. Got to float down a river in a tube and relax with baby in my tummy :)

Unfortunately now I'm craving marshmallows all the time even though I had been eating minimal sugar before that. LOL

fading- Sounds like you have a busy few weeks ahead of you. Good luck with everything!! Just remember to slow down every once in a while and just enjoy the whole process. Its easy to move super fast to get things done then its over in a flash. I can't wait to see pictures and see how your ultrasound turns out! :)

Pri- Pregnancy seems to be a real test of patience, I think it prepares us for motherhood. lol I am sorry your having a hard time switching, but hopefully things work themselves out soon. :) I am soooo jealous of your king size mattress...that is on my wish list. The pregnancy pillow and the mattress together sound super comfy!!

panda- I had bad constipation in the beginning, it is the worst. It helped when I ate green veggies or whole grain, but not always. It kind of worked itself out eventually. If you talk to your doctor they will be able to tell you what you can take to help, its a pretty common thing in pregnancy. Does your crohn's still act up after the surgery? JW if that may have a little to do with it.

Camping sounds like fun! Now I want smores! lol

AFM- I went for a routine check up today. Pretty quick: pee in a cup, blood pressure, weight, baby hb, and thats it. lol It was weird since all of my appointments thus far have been pretty lengthy. She said that everything looks really good and the HB was 150, which hearing it always makes me feel better.

She didn't say anything, but my weight has been steadily climbing. Which is pretty scary since I was overweight to begin with. I decided that the honeymoon period of eating whatever I want some days has to stop so I stocked up on some healthy/low calorie foods and am planning to start walking every single day. Hopefully doing those things will help to keep it under control. I don't expect to lose weight or anything, just hopefully it will limit my weight gain for the rest of the pregnancy. I already have weight to lose, I don't want an extra 60-70 on top of that.

Fading - wow, what a fun month it's going to be for you! I'm so lazy and tired lately, I feel like I would fall asleep at my own wedding if I had one right now haha.

Pri - I hope you get the doctor sorted out. You definitely deserve an OB you like.

Duster - I will pretty much eat anything right now, and as much as possible. I'm trying to get a hold of myself, but if I don't eat constantly I get nauseous. (I thought that was supposed to go away by now!).

Jules - I'm concerned that I'll gain more weight than I should, too. I have a huge appetite. We're getting a new dog next week and I'm hoping the extra dog walks will help me out. He's a rescue and 65 pounds of muscle, so until obedience class training kicks in, it's going to be quite the strength training workout as well!

I have an anatomy scan first week in October and we'll find out the sex then. The tech really thinks it is a girl, but it was too early for her to commit to that.

Hope everyone's feeling good.

Hi Ladies!!!

Panda: I am having some bad constipation too. I was always slow on my movements, and now is even more slower!!
Dr told me to take Benefiber everyday or try a med called Colase, or something like that. I'm taking Benefiber, but I'm still not 100 %
Forgot about the camping!!!! Glad you had fun and all was good. So you told your friends you are expecting, or they didnt even notice?

Jules:
getting the confirmation all is well is always GREAT!!!! Good to hear!!
They say we are supposed to gain 1 pound a week now on 2nd trimester. I'm trying to watch out also, don't want to "explode" now, we still have half way to go! Good that you bought healthy foods and are committed to walk everyday. Walking is great!

Annie:
I've been feeling hungrier sooner and I am def eating more than the before! Good you have your scan for Oct :)
And the dog will be a good work out!!

AFM: finally got some good news.
the new dr called me, I have an appointment with them for September 28. They told me to keep my scan my current dr had set up for me, so I will have the u/s next Thursday, Sep 17 and find out the sex then!!
Then I finally get to switch doctors!!!

Panda- I have IBS so I go between constipated and... um... completely not. lol! So I really have no advice. The only thing that seems to really help me at all is making sure I drink a lot of water and stay hydrated. Glad you had fun camping! I haven't been in years but living in the country we get our own little version every day. :)

Jules- glad to hear that everything seems to be going well!

Annie- aw, yay, a dog! Mine is a 60 lb rescue and he is the sweetest thing. Not good with most dogs but an angel with people and our other animals. Share a pic when you get yours!

Pri- yay for the new doc!

AFM: nothing really new. Starting to think I feel more movement but I really don't know yet. Also, the headache that will not go away, ugh.

I haven't checked in on the other Feb thread in a looong time. Gonna pop over there now!

duster - You know what i'm going through then. Crohns is technically in remission so doc calls what I have still is IBS-like symptoms from the surgery. I also have either/or but lately the constipation has been painful so I might try that OTC Colace stuff. I started taking probiotics as I researched and they are safe so I'll see if that helps. Have you tried those at all? I used to take them for Crohn's and they helped but haven't in a while.

Jules - I understand about weight gain. I was so worried because morning sickness was terrible and made me lose weight (only 2lb). Past 2 weeks I think I tried too hard to make up for it. I was shocked I'd gained 5lb in a week! Oops, I better slow down a little.

Annie - so sorry you are still getting some nausea. I had a couple bad days of it in week 15 but this week has been sooooooo much better. I hope you are rid of it soon.

Pri - I'm so glad the new doc got back to you! That must be a relief! Yay!

I'm still so excited to feel movement. Nothing yet. I read that different positions of placenta can take longer to feel. Doc didn't tell me anything about my placenta position. Did you guys get any info on where yours is? Whether it's anterior or posterior or any of those things?

Annie- Yay for a new dog! He/she will definitely keep you active. :)

Pri- So happy they finally got back to you. :) Good luck at your scan. All these anatomy scans mean that we are all about half way there..how time flies!!

Duster- Sorry about your headache. Hopefully it goes away soon!

Panda- You should start feeling movement very soon, I have only felt something a handful of times so nothing consistent. Around 20-23 wks is average to start feeling movement consistently. I didn't know anything about placenta placement at my last u/s so I am going to ask at my anatomy scan Oct. 1st. I know a lot of people have said the placement has a lot to do with feeling movement.

hi ladies!!

I tried a Yoga class last night, it was not pre-natal, but one that you stay the entire time on the floor.
I think I will buy some prenatal yoga dvds and do at home... it will be a lot cheaper and I will be more comfortable!

I'm not sure about the placenta position, but little one, for whatever reason, is ALWAYS on the right side. Every time we use a doppler, at home or at the doctor, he/she is always on the right side. I know I ovulated from my right ovary, but this should not have anything to do with anything... I think!

And I think I might be feeling the baby very little. It is like a very light cramping I get once in a while.. not sure! I just want to feel a real kick LOL

Panda: hope you feel better with the constipation... it is not fun!

Annie: Still with nausea?? poor you... hope it goes away soon. Are you eating ok? The dog will make you more active which also will help with the nausea!

Duster: sorry for the headache.... it is horrible! Are you taking anything?

How much weight have you girls gained so far? I think I gained about 6 or 7 lbs, but I am really starting to show and my boobs are huge. Had to buy bigger bras already

Pri - glad the doctor situation is sorted out!

Duster - I've been having headaches too. I had to finally take some Tylenol. What are you doing for yours? I'll post a pic of the dog when he get him. I met him this week and he is just such a goofy, big baby. I'm glad you got a good one too. I'd like to foster at some point, but dh is afraid I'll keep them all. The city limit is three, but he acts like we'll have twelve dogs running around and gets all dramatic.

Panda - I haven't been told anything about my placenta. I feel like I know nothing about pregnancy, to be honest.

Jules - your comment about everyone being just about half way there just blew my mind! It's still not real to me. It's like I think I'm just going to be in the second trimester for the next few years and then maybe a baby will come, maybe not. I'm not sure where the denial is coming from! Haha.
