First Time Mommies Due February 2016 - Anyone Want to Join Me?

Duster: such a cute picture! I see why you think the pose looks very masculine but boy or girl, the baby definitely is making itself comfortable, lol . . . I think cysts are fairly common, but good they are being extra cautious and monitoring it.

Pri: What day is your scan this week? Mine is Thursday. We already know gender of course, but I'm excited to get to this point and see everything is okay. So excited to find out your baby's gender! That's funny that delivery man was so sure it was a girl :) I guess we'll see if he's psychic or not, lol.

AFM: My cold or allergies came back. I don't feel as awful as the first time, just stuffy, but I'm sticking to just saline spray and decided I will only go to doctor if it gets worse or doesn't improve in the next couple days. The weather is back and forth between hot and summery and fall and chilly so I think that's why.

My mom is coming up on Thursday. I'm picking her up at the airport after the scan because we are moving my grandmother from her house to independent living next weekend so I think the next week will go quickly. Excited to have my mom here as she is going to come with me and look at some cribs. It will be fun to shop with her even if it's just window shopping.

Duster- Great picture! Baby sure has some long legs. lol I'm glad they are checking up on the cysts, though I have known a few people that had them as well and did not have issues with them.

Pri- Too funny that the delivery guy made a prediction.:) I can't wait to see if he was right or not!

I don't think I did ever say how I announced to him. I ended up doing a scavenger hunt that led to a box of balloons. I printed out nursery rhymes that led to all of the clues. It was a lot of fun, especially since he had no clue we were finding out that day! I found out in the afternoon so I had to hold it in all day... it was sooo hard. lol

Panda- Yay for another scan this week! I am with you with making sure it matches the gender we found out, I still hesitate to buy stuff until I see that its a girl. lol I hope your allergies get better, mine have been pretty bad this week. I take zyrtec, its safe in pregnancy along with claritin. It should start to calm down once the weather totally switches over. Have fun with your mom!! :)

I hope everyone is doing good!

Sorry I haven't been around a lot. Wedding is in 5 days and I am starting to get worried now that we are forgetting something important. I probably won't be on a lot this week, and then right after the wedding we are going on our honeymoon. And the day we are back from the honeymoon is our anatomy scan.
I'll be sure to update when I am back and things have slowed down. :)

Jules: That is such a cool idea to do the scavenger hunt and nursery rhyme clues. So creative and fun. I think your baby will be lucky to have such a creative mom! I bet your hubby loved it :)

xfading: Good luck with the wedding, I'm sure you have everything all set! And have a great great time on you honeymoon. You have so much to celebrate! Can't wait to see your next scan pics when you return. And wedding and honeymoon pics, too, if you want to share!!

Hi Ladies!!!!

Jules: What a cute thing you did to announce the gender!! So cool!! Im sure he loved it!! So fun!!!!

Panda: hope you are feeling better with the allergies and so nice your mom will be in town!! I have my entire family in another country, so I would surely appreciate some window shopping with mom! And yayyy for another scan on Thurs!!! Hope all goes well

Fading: REALLY don't stress about the wedding! Even if something is missing, no one will notice it! It is your day and must relax and enjoy it! Dont stress, dont worry, and just have fun! This is an advise for ANY bride and specially for a pregnant one!!! :happydance:
All will fall into place!!!
Please share at least 1 pic of the wedding, though! haha
Enjoy every moment of it and enjoy the honeymoon!!!!! :hugs:

AFM: scan is tomorrow!!! And I am going with hubby or no hubby!!! Now I am mentally prepared for anything!!!!
So all going well, I will be letting you ladies know if we are team pink or blue tomorrow!!!!

Annie and CAX: when is your next scan? are you staying team yellow, or are you finding out??

fading- How exciting that your wedding is almost here! Make sure to post some pics when you back and settled from your honeymoon. :) I was panicked too with everything that had to be done right before, but when the day came I pretty much threw my hands in the air and said whats done is done. I'm sure that everything will turn out wonderful!

Pri- I'm so excited to see how your scan goes!!! :)

Thanks Pri and Panda. :) I used to be super crafty then kind of just got away from it. I have definitely been getting back into it lately though. I made leaf bowls over the weekend and some candy corn flower vases. I would looove to start on baby's room, but I am waiting til next week as we have our scan to make sure its still a girl and we find out if we are moving. I am getting super impatient to see our little one, these weeks are starting to drag! I thought I was feeling movement, but haven't felt anything definite yet which is making me stress out.

Oh and happy first day of fall!!! We got through summer so now just one more full season until we get to meet our babies! Come on February!

Thank you, Jules!!!!!

I really thought (and wanted) a girl, so it took me a little while to "accept" it, but all cool now!!!! :)

So Monday is my appointment with the new doctor and I really hope I like him!
Also he might do a quick ultrasound which I am happy about it! The ultrasound we did on Wed, I guess it was an older machine, the imagines didn't come out good AT ALL... will not even bother to share with you ladies...

Here is our gender announcement picture, though!!

Fading:
I hope you have a BLAST in your wedding and that everything comes out perfect!!!!!
Enjoy your honeymoon!!!!!

Panda, Annie, Cax, how are you ladies doing?

Pri- That's super cute!!! I love it! I'm sorry you were a little disappointed at first, it's pretty normal to feel that way when you really want one or the other. I'm glad you guys are feeling more excited about it now though! You'll just have to try again down the road! :) I hope all goes well at your new doctor!!!

AFM: I am getting super impatient for my ultrasound next week! I feel like the days are dragging out. I decided for our gender announcement photo we are going to do pumpkins...i'll post a picture when it's finished. I have to make sure the blood test is right first!lol

Thank goodness I have a busy long weekend ahead of me. Our youngest cat is getting spayed. Should be interesting since she does not do well in the carrier or with taking it easy at allllllll. lol

Pri: congrats on Boy! I had same reaction of shock as I had always pictured having a girl but I am now over the moon about boy. So happy for you. I love your announcement! So funny and joyful!

My scan was great! I was so happy as they did very detailed check of organs, brain, fingers, toes and all was healthy looking! I'll post pics when I can.

I feel sooooo much more relaxed now about pregnancy now that all tests are done and we saw little baby sucking his fingers ;) in there.

For a while I kept feeling like a pregnancy imposter since I'd been unable to conceive and was once told prob could not ever. I think I'm finally accepting this miracle is real.

We are working on a Facebook announcement. I have to make a couple things for it, then I'll post :)

Hi Panda!!
I just love when people beat the odds or what the doctors say!
good for you on your Miracle baby and start enjoying both the pregnancy and the expectation!!!!
how was your mom's visit??

CAX: Congrats on the Girl!!!!!!!!!! :happydance:

Jules: what a great idea of doing the announcement with pumpkins!!!!
Send us the picture once you have it!!!
Good luck with your cat and I really feel you on the feeling of days being dragged out!!! Remember I had to re-schedule my gender review ultrasound???

Duster: Where are you?? Everything alright?

AFM: So i had my appointment with the new doctor yesterday!
I liked him and felt comfortable with him.Very charismatic person!
Got to see the baby again yesterday, and I will see it on each appointment :happydance:
Very happy about that!!
Also.... We spoke about the fact that I had back surgery done 2 years ago, and that I was going back and forth regarding natural delivery or C-Section and he really recommended do a C-Section. It put my mind somewhat at ease, that he agreed with my concerns of re-injuring my back again. So we will do a C-Section. Just need to figure out a date with hubby and let him know!
Oh, and he also told me I have an inferior placenta!

Hope you all are doing just fine!!! :)

Pri and CA: Congrats on the genders! So exciting!

Annie: I hear it's totally normal to not be able to eat as much as your pregnancy progresses. I'm definitely feeling that too.

Sorry I've been MIA, ladies! Work and house chores have been keeping me very busy. I have a serious boxer inside me, lol! Very active Bip. My OB was listening for a heartbeat last week at my appt and even she commented on how much activity there was! Definitely feeling much more movement, often between 7-9pm. I also want to pry my ribs apart- I feel like there isn't enough room in there for everything as Bip grows!

Oh- and my lame-for-everyone-else-but-cool-for-me story: one of my chickens laid her first egg yesterday! I have two out of 14 laying at the moment but it's so exciting! Especially with the price of eggs...

Hope you ladies are doing well. Thanks for the concern- I will try to be on more! I miss you ladies. But I'm on with my phone and mobile isn't kind to me; it force quits my browser. :/

duster: Yes, we are having a boy! but we found out from the DNA test early on so ultrasound was just confirmation. Sounds like you are busy! We are just starting to clean stuff out to make more room for baby. I feel like I finally have energy again. That is so cool that you are feeling baby more. I feel very light flutters now around the same time as you when getting closet to bedtime esp when relaxing. It's so subtle, though, that I question myself as to if it's def baby, but I don't know what else it would be as it's very different feeling from regular gas! LOL

Ultrasound tech did say we have posterior placenta so I'm hoping I feel more definite kicks soon. My hubby is excited to be able to feel them, too, but I told him it's probably another month before he can feel them.

Pri: I'm so glad you like the new doc!!! That's great news and it sounds like you are on the same page. Smart to be careful about your back. Would be hard to take care of new baby with back problem!!

Jules: excited for your ultrasound. It's always so hard waiting!

I feel like just in the past week I went from tiny bump that a loose shirt could mostly cover to straight up round belly. Anyone else? Even my yoga stretch pants hit my waist uncomfortably so I had to go buy maternity yoga pants to work out in and I'm wearing maternity jeans now even though I can wear my old ones low on the hip. I tried the belly bands with my jeans unzipped but I felt like they didn't stay in place well so those were waist of money for me.

CA- Yay for another girl in the group!! Congrats!!

Panda- Congrats on the baby boy!!! I'm glad that your starting to feel more relaxed, your miracle was well worth the wait. :)

I hear ya on things all of a sudden getting super tight. I have a few summer dresses that I have been wearing since my shorts haven't fit right for some time. I had a dress I just wore last week and was fine, well yesterday I went to sit down at work and it ripped open on the side seam. Needless to say I am now officially switched over to mostly maternity. lol

Pri- Yay for your new doctor being so great!! I'm jealous you get to see baby at every appt. :)

Duster- Sounds like you have been very busy! So cute that baby is very active..your ribs are really going get it once baby gets bigger. lol I also find it very cool that you have fresh eggs!!! I would love to have animals like that, for now I buy from the local Amish farms around here when they have them. Eggs are ridiculously expensive at the store!

Had my scan! She is still a she and all is healthy. :) Shewww!!! I feel like I can breathe so much better now.

Duster:
so cool your baby is an active baby and you can feel him/her already a lot!!
Also, very cool about your chickens already laying eggs!!!

Panda:
my husband keeps asking me when he will be able to feel the baby, but like you, I told him, until I finally feel a kick he wont be able to to feel anything..
My movements are very slight, but baby is there, moving and the heartbeat is strong, so nothing to worry about!
And yes, belly is really growing now too!. I say he was just waiting for us to find out the gender to really start growing! haha

Jules:
Congrats on your scan!!!!! it is always good and reassuring to see and hear all is alright! Yayy for your little girl!!!

Ladies, we are half way there already! it sounds CRAZY!!!

You have names picked already?
We picked ours this week!! Benjamin Nelson. Nelson was my husband's grandpa that passed away last year. We wanted to honor him!

Jules: Congrats! It's so nice to get a good scan. Great pic :) I can't believe your dressed actually ripped!!! That must have been a bit of a shock! Maternity clothes are so comfortable, though, I'm kind of wondering why I never wore maternity jeans before, lol.

Pri: Love the name Benjamin Nelson. Sounds very distinguished, but Ben is also such a cute name! Great pick and nice to include a family name to honor your grandfather.

The current name we are thinking about for ours is Jason Peter. Peter is my Dad's name and we are very close so I know he would be so happy if we do that. We aren't 100% settled yet, though, still keeping options open and reading name sites for ideas.

Duster: My cousin has chickens for fresh eggs. They are sooo delicious and the chickens are quite entertaining, but def seem like some extra chores involved. I'm impressed you are doing it! I can't even keep my flower beds weeded!
