As an american, I use the term "zero" ...and I also use the "O" letter when referring to phone numbers or addresses like this: 2306 elm avenue, I would say "twenty -three oh six elm avenue"
The term naught would make me think it means "none" or "gone" or "nothing" when sometimes zero is the beginning of a number (think of the zero in the number 2306) "
