January Snowdrops +*+* Testing Thread *+*+ Ring in the New Year with BFPs!

Thanks I'm sorry you got a bfn. Spending $200 does seem like a lot. But I looked up what you were talking about and seems like a good deal for all you get for it. If you do get it hope it brings you a bfp.

I have 4 of these left. First one I took when I got them and was negative so I know its picking up hcg now. I know I'm early and seeing the bfn on the 25miu is normal for now. Just hope others will have nice lines in a few days.

Here is my afternoon test.
Fmu one is darker but my sample was a longer hold.
Took picture in case then out to compare progression.

Those look BFP NightFlower! :)
I hope they continue to darken for you.
Where did you order those cassette Wondfo?

Good luck ladies testing soon

Thanks ladies ❤ just started testing so it's gunna be a long week with lots more testing to do. Pray in a few days lines will show on 25miu tests when I'm further along. After I run out of these cassette wondfos I'll start using the other brands of hpt strips as I have so many of them .

Hi ladies

sorry not been that active.
Only cd8 and that boring part of the cycle. Did opks today for the first time.
Femometer strip was negative but darkish. The digi was a open circle. Guess I won’t be ovulating earlier like I had hoped.
Was so hoping it would be cd10 like with my ds. But still a open circle so guess I still have a week to wait or more.

@PinkCupcakes
Those are such dark peaks. Yay. I literally have everything crossed for you.

@littlewitch
Oh man I’m so so sorry about the BFN. It really is so so disheartening and disappointing.
I’m on cycle and month 11 right now. Hoping this cycle will be the one but the constant BFNs just make me think it won’t be.
Really don’t want to be going into cycle 12 trying but I think I will be.
When is Af due love? Do you have long to wait?

@Laurabub84
Im so sorry your in limbo love. I hope Af shows soon or even better you temp goes up and you get a BFP.

@NightFlower

AF is due in 3 days. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I am strongly considering getting a Mira device to help track my ovulation better. Once AF comes, I will be on cycle #11 as well. I kind of wonder whether regular old manual OPK are a true reflection of my peak.
I can definitely understand the feeling that it may never happen... I am slowly trying to make my peace with that possibility.

@NightFlower that’s definitely looking like a BFP! Exciting!!

@HalfricanMa my ability to get and stay pregnant just doesn’t seem to happen until I fully stop breastfeeding. It varies so much between women though. There is a theory that increasing your calorie intake can give you a fertility boost while breastfeeding. It’s basically making you body believe you can sustain feeding a baby whilst growing one. I work in infant feeding and get asked a lot about the miscarriage risk with breastfeeding and it’s not something that you should necessarily be concerned about unless there are other risk factors. There was a 2019 study that suggested a slight (very slight) increase in risk but it focused on fully breastfed infants rather than toddlers. Like a lot of breastfeeding research, not enough focuses on older babies and toddlers!
It’s the oxytocin that can cause the uterus to contract which is the same as an orgasm but we don’t tell women not to do that (unless they’re on pelvic rest which is again to do with existing risk factors). There are other issues with pregnancy and breastfeeding such as a dip in milk supply and the return of colostrum but that’s less of an issue in a breastfeeding toddler who is having solid food alongside breastmilk than it would be in an infant solely reliant on breastmilk as their primary source of nutrition.
Basically there are a lot of individual factors in play in the decision! I’m still not feeling well so sorry if that wasn’t well explained or rambling a bit but I can never resist getting into a breastfeeding question :haha:

My temperature is still showing as up on my chart so FF has given me crosshairs but all it means is that I’ve been ill for days now :roll: should probably discard the temps really but when you’re 35 days into a cycle with two LH surges and no TWW to show for it, you’ll grasp any straws!

OoOh so excited for tomorrows xxxx

Hi hon
Wow I can’t believe your 16 weeks.
I do have some baby aspirin somewhere I'll have to find it and start taking it. How long do I take it for.?

I took it from 10dpo when I first got lines. And it took it the whole way through. But I would of had to anyway from 12 weeks as it helps prevent pre eclampsia.
But I took from BFP with my son and was already on the maca and folate and he stuck.
Fx for you so love.
I hope this is it.

I think you stand a very good chance hon. You know your still firtile and hopefully the next one sticks.

have you thought of temping? Be a lot cheaper.
I done temping for so long in 2020 and 2022 and now so I always know I ovulate on the same day or day after I get a peak.

im not temping this cycle, im just doing opks.
But I can trust when I ovulate from all the temping pluss I get ovulation pains and all the other signs when I am ovulating.
I’ve not had a sniff of a line for 8 months.
I’m wondering if my eggs are all old and no good now.
Will just keep trying and hoping I guess.

hoping the maca and coq10 are doing something and I do catch again and it sticks [-o<

Oh yes I think your be great doing the Feb group hon.
I did the April one and we did fall but it was a chemical.
I did December one but was BFN as you know. But some get lucky like @tdog. I’ve seen others run the thread too and end up with BFPs.
It’s worth a try hon. It sure can’t do any harm.

would love there to be a feb group. Because don’t think I’ll be testing until February now.
Should be very early Feb depending on ovulation.
I got my BFP with my 3 year old son on the 2nd Feb 2019.
Praying that happens again and it’s sticky and healthy [-o<

Thank you for all the information. I really have been curious about it all and unsure what was true. Honestly weaning is quite intimidating but we’ll see what happens. So sorry you’re still feeling ill. How unfortunate! Feel better and good luck
