July/Aug 2022 babies ❤️

Babymoma how exciting! Baby Alexander is ready!

After 14 hours of labor and a huge scare Alexander is finally here :wohoo:Little one was weighing in at 9 lbs. 10 oz. and 22 inches long he got stuck coming out and it took three nurses to try to help get them in stock so I'm a little bit bruised and sore and he came out black and blue because he was face up and his shoulder got snagged

Thanks hun I can't wait to go home hard to rest with all these people coming in and out of your room all day

Definitely is, when do you think you’ll go home? Hope you and Alexander is doing well today :flow:

Oh wow he is curious isn't he bless him, Evelyn took ages to open her eyes lol
Hope you're both well today

@babymoma89 oh my gosh so glad beautiful Alexander is here and ok, my 9.5-lb girl also had shoulder dystocia and got stuck on the way out, really left me sore and I lost a lot of blood. I was really shaken up for a while after that, especially having the huge pediatric team rush in…! I didn’t even realize what had happened until after it was done thank goodness and then my mind went over all the possible scenarios… ugh. Lost a ton of blood too. Did you? How are you feeling? Congratulations <3

We are finally home and resting thankfully. Both of us are pretty bruised up and I lost a good amount of blood as well. @MrsKatie how did your little ones arm heal up after ? Any complications? My hubby and I are worried about his poor little arm. We follow up with pediatricians office tomorrow . First photo shows how bad the bruising on his face was which is clearing up thankfully. He seems to be doing much better other than he really can't lift his left arm up and down. Hoping that is only temporary

I've had a few days away from the thread and wow!
Congratulations Redrose, theo is beautiful. Sounds like your body wanted to go into labour given the quick result with the induction. So pleased he doesn't need a nicu stay. Are you home now?

Congratulations to you babymoma as well! Alexander is also beautiful. Poor you and poor him with the shoulder dystocia. Must have been very scary and then seeing him all bruised can't have been nice. Did you get any answers from the paediatrician regarding his arm?

Is it just you left to deliver now Lucy?

Hey @babymoma89 fortunately she didn’t suffer any injuries to either arm, they couldn’t even tell which arm was stuck when all was said and done. I hope your sweet boy makes a full recovery soon.

Oh my is it really just me left? I have my c/s date of August 22, ages away! But the way I see it is that’s the latest I’ll have him. Hopefully before!
How are all the new babies settling in?

I think it is just you Lucy, we're still here cheering you on!
We're good thank you, Evelyn doesn't like to sleep alot, last night was up again after 5 mins of putting her down every time, just as I thought things were improving and was getting a 3 hr chunk it went went to being terrible lol, hopefully that will change! Other than that she's amazing and settling into our lives perfectly as if she's always been here

She went from 6lb 6oz at birth to 6lb after 5 days, 7bdays after that she's back up to 6lb 8oz so she's doing well

Currently in tiny baby clothes as newborn is swamping her, hopefully not for long as I don't have a lot of tiny baby, just what my sister gave me after having her twins

22nd Aug be here before you know it!

@Lucy3 still cheering you on ❤️

Alexander is doing well had our first pediatric appt yesterday and has actually put on weight  he does however have to go see an orthopedic specialist for his left arm /shoulder and find out if he will need surgery. The whole delivery and his injury has me so frustrated with my doctor. I feel like the whole thing was traumatizing and could of been avoided . However my doctor was hell bent on holding off an induction which was clearly needed.

We unfortunately were admitted to hospital after we got realised. Theo just wasn't putting weight on. He kept falling asleep during feed times no matter how hard I tried to wake him up. I even swapped to expressing into a bottle for him and still he couldn't stay awake. I was a walling zombie I was just feeding, pump, clean,/ sterilise bottles, sleep repeat.. but I was feeding every 2 hours and he took over an hour to just drink 20 mls of milk! So we got admitted to the paediatrics hospital where we getting stay together abd he's got a feeding tube in. I was so upset but now I'm here the pressure is off of me
And he's putting weight on great

Ah bless him. I think for now he’s in the right place love and at least it takes the pressure off of you a bit. That’s the only thing with having a very small baby they don’t feed great. My dd was 5lbs when I had her at 35+4 weeks and after 8 days she dropped to 4lb 9oz. She was already in scbu at the time but still hard to hear they are losing and not gaining.

same with my youngest he was born at 37+1 weeks and was 7lb 3oz but on day 5 he dropped to 6lb 5oz and they had me feeding him every 3 hours day and night: I was exhausted.

he is gorgeous love and making me even more broody.
Just hope I get to experience being pregnant and that newborn stage again in the not to far future.
I’m feeling very negative Nancy at the minute and like it’s not ever going to happen.
