Just letting you know there will be a change to this section (On hold for feedback)

Hearing 'tips' from people who conceived easily would not make the ladies feel very good, they probably tried all those methods anyway.

Exactly as you said it sarah.... believe us we have tried everything......:hugs:

Maybe I'll do these strict guidelines and bitch slap anyone who ignores it? See how we go before considering this as a final step? Then I'll comeback to you ladies and get some feedback?

Just want to point out because this somehow always gets confused ...this section is NOT just for those who have been long term TTC and you fit where YOU are more comfortable with based on your own situation you know where that comfy zone is for you.

Can you bitch slap me Wobbles- i'd like it

  Sarah!!

Think I'll go get a shower on that note lol!!!

I think I scared everyone, lol. Don't ban me Wobbles!

Hi ladies, does this mean it has to be goodbye from me??
I do understand why you are doing this. And look i worked out how to turn off my tickers etc :happydance: (strange that i'm proud of that but i'm not very technically minded and it took me 2 days )
I'm going to miss you all so much, and would like to thankyou for all your support.
I wish all you lovely amazing ladies all the luck in the world

xxx

I think its a good idea. Would I still be welcome and allowed to post though, me and my oh have been ttc actively for over a year and I have had 2 mc's  hope im still welcome here :hugs: xx

Members really shouldn't panic over 'will I be allowed in' ;) :D

I think this is a good idea and i completely trust wobs and the admins to be fair about who is allowed and who isn't. Even though i got lucky, i still spend most of my time stalking this section and i still feel the most comfortable in here too. I can get quite annoyed/frustrated sometimes with the 1st tri section and the endless "I'm fed up of morning sickness" threads when i just think how incredibly lucky people are, and that there are some people who would give their right arm for a bit of sickness!
I still see myself as a long-termer, even though i got there in the end and i like to come in here and offer my support to my friends. You never forget the horrible heart break you had to go through and every day i wake up and hope that one of you guys in this section has got a big old BFP overnight. This is always the first section i check, everytime i log on to BnB and i think it always will be.

you are so so sweet coffee :)

i'm a bit confused by it all...

i've only posted a couple of times on here but think i qualify as a long termer - been ttc since may 2007. a couple of bad SAs - abnormal in all areas. i have borderline high fsh (despite only being 28 ). 5 failed clomid cycles and a solid tumour on my ovary. and am having surgery next week to find out what's wrong with me and to remove the tumour :-(

can i still post on this board ?

I think I can answer for the mods and admin with a 'yes' :hugs: ... depending on the locks put on the section you may have to 'join' the LTTTC group, but yes you'll be able to post. As far as I understand the sanctions are not trying to keep people like you out ..
just those who have been trying for 3 months and come along with little pearls of wisdom such as 'just relax' or 'go on holiday .. it worked for my friend' *rolls eyes* or less than helpful/insensitive comments on other peoples threads.

Thanks x

(continued after reading more than first post, lol)

It's no secret that we've been TTC for a long time and have issues with concieving and carrying, I come on here a bit, but mostly just lurk, read a couple of threads and that's about it usually. I don't post very often cause tbh thinking about it all/writing about it etc drags me down. I suppose I'm unique treatment-wise cause they don't want to give me any treatments cause of my disability (taking blood etc can cause me further damage - it's complicated) so for all I'm alone in that part, I'm not alone in the longing, the doubting, bittersweet happiness that you feel for others etc etc. I also feel that sometimes I distance myself from it all alot, 4 years is a long time, 3 MCs is heartbreaking and knowing that there's a fair chance that I'll never have a child is like being ripped apart.

I have noticed a few threads/things in here and thought "errr ok luv...." but of the things mentioned in Wobble's list, it's scan avatars and baby gaga tickers that I dislike most (as well as the occasional "relax" type comment). Pictures of babies and children don't bother me, other pregnancy tickers don't really bother me, but scan pictures and baby gaga tickers are a bit "in your face" kind of thing.

Yes, the locks are not meant to keep you out just because you have a low post count. If they do lock the section members will simply have to apply with a valid reason as to why they would like access to post in the section. You won't be turned away because you have a low post count. The section is for long term TTCers and anyone with known fertility problems/using assisted conception. The length of time you have been a member has no bearing on it whatsoever. As someone else pointed out the reason for the change is to keep insensitive comments from being made, unfortunately it has happened quite a lot recently.

as wobbs said earlier on this page:
Members really shouldn't panic over 'will I be allowed in' ;) :D

I think i is a very good idea.. the times ive seen posts that had to be removed
And of course the OP had no ill intentions.
In the end there are so many places on this board that i dont think it will be such a big deal to have some restrictions here, people that want it can request to get in without a problem as said before..

(id opt for a clear "apply now" button on the thread though so people with little computer skills can still find a way to get in too if they want ;) )
