Magical Maypoles ~*May testing thread*~

I had bloods the day after I birthed Tallualah and they all came back normal. Other than the obvious PCOS ones. I believe for 5 weeks after her loss. Then had a cycle that lasted 10 days, now this cycle that is still going at 11 days. I called my OBGyn, waiting for a call back. I used to do monitored cycles while taking letrozole but wasn't offered them this time around (new ob). I don't know if it is working properly now, so I think I am going to asked to go back to monitored atleast for the next couple of goes if we are unsuccessful.

Sorry to hear about your long cycle. I have had very long cycles after my miscarriage too (16 weeks). Even before that miscarriage, I had one cycle that lasted almost 2-3 weeks.... drove me maddd...... I hope your cycle regulates it really soon. I did use clomid with my first pregnancy and I really enjoyed being monitored. It helps to see what's going on in the body instead of guessing / using OPKs. I couldn't use OPKs back then cos I had PCOS and I had a lot of anovulatory cycles.

@NightFlower thank heavens for that!! Was really bad!
@cheerios great to see you here hope your results come back all good x

Hi!!! Thanks! This would be officially my first 2ww thread that I am going to follow since my miscarriage last Dec! Ahhh... makes me excited just typing this. Previously I could only be a silent stalker cos I was "out of the game".

Thank you. I am hoping it is just down to the miscarriage and things just need to even out. My OB sent me for bloods this morning & I am going in for an ultrasound tomorrow. She will have a look around and also see if there is a follicle developing.
My 1st boy I had clomid & 2nd I had letrozole because the clomid wasn't working. Both of those I was monitored each cycle with ultrasound and 21 day bloods. I have PCOS also and do not ovulate at all without help. I am glad my OB has said to start monitoring again and hopefully the bloods come back okay and nothing sinister going on.
Bleeding is almost stopped now, so that is a relief. Hope it doesn't pick up again.

My OB doesn't do monitoring. I would have to go to a fertility doctor / centre. The only problem is I don't know if I have to pay out of pocket cos my health insurance does not cover fertility care once the woman has hit 40, which I have in Dec last year. Ahhh.... The good thing is, I do ovulate on my own. But since I developed thyroid issues (overactive), it's been harder to pin-point ovulation. I've never been one to use OPKs and have only depended on EWCM / symptoms but since last year I hardly have had those symptoms anymore. I had EWCM this cycle which was totally new for me, but I still had to prevent pregnancy cos I didn't how my thyroid hormones were. I'm really really hoping to be able to TTC in May and hoping that somehow the thyroid treatment is going to give me a much better chance to get pregnant quickly.

Oh that is a shame your OB doesn't do monitoring. I've had 3 OBs and each one does do monitoring. The Obs I use tend to have some sort of affiliation with fertility clinics but I have never had to be referred to a proper fertility specialist as the letrozole has normally worked. I think though if I was to have another loss that it has been suggested that maybe IVF might be the next route, to check the embryos are genetically okay first.
My private health only covers pregnancy treatment not my monitoring or fertility appointments but that is okay. We pay out of pocket but it's usually only $150 once a month so we can manage.
I wish private health covered fertility better.
I hope that you are able to find some resolution for your thyroid and can ttc again soon. It is just awful being put on hold due to health.
Wishing us all the best of luck and hopefully soon we can find ourselves in a due date group. The closer I get to Tallulahs due date the harder the days are.

@WantingababyF :hugs:
@NightFlower I'm OK thanks. Having a stressful few days just with general life crap. Seems like I've got too much to do to keep on top of! But I guess that's life as a mom lol.

Hope you can de-stress later on. :hugs:
I'm a early tester too as you know. I'm looking forward to being testing buddies and fx maybe DD buddies as well.
Good luck when you start testing away. Be looking for updates.
:dust:

Update: Went to OB today, had a ultrasound and blood tests back. I don't have any retained tissue which is great and she could see a 14mm follicle on my left side so the letrozole is working. I may just ovulate later. Maybe around CD 15/16. I have a repeat blood test to do Monday to check. I will keep doing OPKs. We are going away for the night tomorrow, no kids. We will get BDing just encase. Fingers Crossed !

Oh really girls?! Oh I hope so. I seem to get shadows on everything at this sort of dpo then nothing after. I did also do a cb early which I swear I see a hint on but can't really pick it up on camera x

Just whining a bit but cd5 here and af is still so heavy. :/ Not having bad cramps or anything but hoping it will be over by cd7 as usual and not drag on.

@josephine3 hello, can I please be added for May 4th test date! I will be 10dpo.

I’m only 4dpo today but I had super bad nausea and acid reflux this morning, I was legit afraid I was going to throw up while driving to work. I know you’re not supposed to have symptoms before implantation, but my mom started getting nausea when pregnant with me at like 2dpo, soooo I feel like the science not being able to explain it doesn’t mean it’s not real. Anyway, we’ll see.
