Sunshine2014- I think there is a trend going on here, November was definitely not a lucky month for us ladies, Lets hope that feb/March is! Cant believe you had to wait that long for you d& c, such a long time. I can't imagine how hard that must have been . How long have you been TTC for?

Lottie- I definitely think we should all jump on the SMEP train as it seems to have a lot of success. Thinking about it the month i got my was the month me and DH had a lot of , probably more than any of the other months. I was thinking of giving temping a go just to confirm ovulation. I used to ovulate really late on CD 19, but this month it went to CD 16. I am hoping that it stays that way.

Tankel- I really hope that you AF shows up very soon so you can TTC again. How did you find doing the SMEP? Was it tiring or manageable?

I thought that SMEP was a nice way for me and the DH to connect. He doesn't have a very high libido so it was nice to be intimate more often than we would have normally. I initially told him just to Wham-Bam-Thank-You-Mam me since the thought of all that BD made me tired, but it turned out to be a nice spark in our relationship. I have to confess though, that we did not DTD as often as the traditional SMEP suggests. I had very long cycles and there was no way my lady parts could go every other day since CD 8! I think it is what finally did it for us in the end. We were NTNP for 3 years and TTC 3 months and the first month we did SMEP was the first successful month. I think it really helped because that month I never got a clear positive OPK so I would have (probably) never had BD on the right day without it. I am totally on the SMEP plan!

Thanks ladies. It's been quite the journey so far. I'm so thankful that you can appreciate that as well. I try to stay Positive all the time, even when it's not easy.

I don't do the smep but I do temp. I love hearing what other people are doing to TTC.

Hello ladies I'll be testing in March also, if AF ever decides to show up! I'm on CD 31, my cycles are anywhere between 28-36 days. February will be our first month TTC since my cp in 2012, we are very excited! I plan on following SMEP. I got pregnant our first cycle trying in 2012, we will see how long it takes this time! Waitttttttt what is Smep? I know what it means but how is it done again? lol

roughly:

BD every other day from CD8 or so
OPKs from CD10

as soon as you get a positive OPK, BD that day
the next day
the next day
take a day off
and then one last BD for good measure

alternately, if 3 days in a row (or 4 depending on the timing of your positive OPK) is too hard, you could just BD every other day from the time AF leaves until after you ovulate. or all the way until AF shows again for any marathon BDers out there.

p.s. i am hoping/waiting for the doc to give the a-ok to try this month. if he does, i'll be a(n early) march tester. happy birthday bfp to me, perhaps??

Sunshine ~ I reckon you should give it a go! My LP is 14 days and my cycles are 33-40 days so we might BD every 3 days up until CD16 or so, so that we dont wear our selves out too early! It will be interesting to see how successful this is.

I am only 11 days pass my mc. I was just hopeful that I would be able to test in late March. My bleeding stopped for 2 days, but here it is again!
