Moms of April/May/June 2010 babies thread! :)

The tree is up sort of! Its up in the sense of I have a bare tree standing in the corner of the room but Dave said he wants to help decorate it so I will have to busy myself with other things until he gets back!

I also forgot I am supposed to be going out for a meal with my NCT group tomorrow and I have nothing to wear ... so now I really need to go out to the shops and buy either some new flat shoes to go with my short jeans or some new long jeans to go with my boots. but i have to wait for dave for that as well. Argh at least Amy os having a nice afternoon nap so I can have a break.

Modo - I wrapped presents last night. I have been to the shops today and it nice to know I only have todays purchases to wrap when I get home  I agree with Sarah on a big bow on the rabbit rocker, if you wanted to do a reveal for Bobby you could always put a throw over it for you or him to pull off?
Only one cupboard full of crap!?!?!?! Lucky you :winkwink: I have several  I cleared them all out before Joni was born but as people keep giving us things for her and she grows out of things they are once again stuffed to the hinges and fit to burst :dohh:
Oh my goodness - how you have described Bobby is just what Joni has been like. I am certain it is her teeth.

Sarah - I think that Christmas day will be so stimulating for our babies that Oliver will probably welcome peaceful trip in the car to have 40 winks :) I hope your tooth/jaw is feeling better now. Did you dress Oliver up as an elf for baby club in the end?
Joni recognises ashton parsons packets now and mmmmm's at you while you open them. I hope the Trafford centre was not too busy for you.

Emera - 10 hour days OUCH! I hope you are taking it easy over the weekend, as easy as you can with a young baby of course :winkwink: as lets face it a mothers work is never done! Bless you OH doing such a good job while you were working  Poor Roh and the rocking stool :hugs:
Any sign of your parcels yet? Now you mention it I have not got anything for my hubby from Joni :dohh: I will have to put my thinking cap on about that one - hmmmmmmm *raises one eyebrow and changes bnb status to pensieve* :haha: I know what you mean about buying for in laws, however I don't think that our OH's have any more of a clue than we do. This year I did all the women and kids in hubby's family and only left him with his brother and Dad. In the end we have ordered what I suggested for his Dad and brother but now I am going to be rushing around all next week getting everything posted. I wish I had just bought everything myself weeks ago  I am determined to be more organised next year, I have hated rushing round like a headless chicken this year :nope:

Katie - :hugs: for you my lovely. Being a Mum is so rewarding but so very hard all at once  I am glad that you are able to talk about how you are feeling. Don't ever think you can't post on here or have to restrict yourself to the GS, what I love about our little group is that we are here for one another through the thick, thin, good and bad times.

Hannah - WOW for nearly visible teeth and standing :) I hope your Christmas shopping was successful.

H&F - Well done on getting your cleaning done and dusted and putting the tree up  We were not going to bother with the tree as we do not have much room with Joni's toys, playstation and swing just to name a few things. However, you inspired me and today I had are-arrange, dust and tidy and have made room for the tree. Now all I need to do is find which cupboard the tree is stashed in :dohh:

Maybebaby - I am still in shock about your friend  I hope you are ok :hugs: I am glad you are enjoying having your SIL with you :)

L-C - I am ok thanks, something just really hacked me off this morning :growlmad: I am however feeling much calmer now ;) I know what you mean about developmental spurts. Joni has had weeks where she has learnt a new thing nearly every day :cloud9:

Amy - Your description of what your Christmas day had me in fits  particularly the bit about Lyra weeing on the presents  I hope Alex is feeling a bit better.

Well Joni has just had her dinner. I tried her with cheesy scrambled eggs again and once she got used to the texture she seemed quite keen. Joni also tried baby sweetcorn at lunch today and seemed to really like it. The sticks of red pepper were not nearly as popular and all ended up on the floor after only a brief lick :haha: Her appetite is a bit down the last few days, she is still eating and drinking but not as much as usual. I think her teeth are really bothering her again. She has been really cranky, extremely clingy, is dribbling like a fiend and her cheeks are all flushed and scaly again. Still no sign of teeth yet though

I went into the city first thing this morning as hubby is on a late shift. I parked the car in the multi storey and made a mental note to ensure I had change when I came back to pay the ticket. As I made the mental note I also realised I had neglected to bring my wallet with me :dohh: What a freaking idiot!!!!! Thankfully I had stuffed fifty pounds in my pocket on my way out. We don't usually have that much cash lying around but this was Christmas money from my Nan bless her :awww: I'm 32 and she still sends me money even though I tell her she doesn't have to now I am 'grown up'

We had an all up the back affair just before dinner  it was up to the bottom of her shoulder blades  NOT NICE!!! Then while I was trying to get the poo soaked clothes off of her without getting them on her face and head she widdled on my leg  We had a good giggle about it

I had best sign off for now as I need to start getting organised for bedtime. Speak to you all later :hugs:

I am watching Seven and eating Ben & Jerry's Cookie Dough Ice cream with DH. OMG 90's Brad Pitt was so HOT!!!

FruFru: the cupboard is just the start of it. I have a loft conversion full of boxes!

Frufru - I know she's growing up so quickly  Thank you, the shopping trip was quite successful :) Spent nearly £50 on Amelia in Toys r Us so she's been spoilt quite a bit as she's got a lot already :haha: managed to get OH things & although I ordered my dad's presents online because they were cheaper I wish I hadn't now due to the weather :dohh:

Modo - yay for Ben & Jerrys :happydance: me and OH had phish food last night, £2 in tesco :D

-----------------------------------------------------------

Anyway...

Hey girls :hi:
Had a fairly good day yesterday christmas shopping was a big success although I was quite disgusted that they didn't provide changing facilities in burger king and Amelia needed a bum change :growlmad: spoiled her in Toys r Us and she decided she was going to having a screaming fit whilst we was queuing to pay :(

Had an awful night last night, she took a while to settle and was up at 5am and wouldn't settle so she came in bed with OH and I which I didn't really want to do but it was the only way it would settle her

Today's been an awful day too, I'm so tired, not feeling well at all and Amelia's been a buggger all day, whinging and crying and whining all day :( I'm pretty sure she's got a tooth cutting and that's why she's been so cranky all day but it's just so heartbreaking see them like it

hannah - hope amelia is on the mend soon!

modo - hope bobby is better soon!

frufru - i hate up the back poos! owen seems to like to eiter poo in his high chair orin the walker and then bounce on it so we often either have a very lucky escape with the poo reaching the limits of the nappy or we have a horrid up the back affair!

well owen is tired but refusing to sleep. i have tried rocking, feeding but nothing is working. he's babbling and gurgling. have sat him in his pushchair with baby einstin on the tv and am rocking the pushchair with my foot but so far nothing's working :dohh: i'm hungry!!! OH has gone to the chinese with his workmates. hopefully he'll neither come back too late nor drink to much as we are planning to go to the cinema in malaga tomorrow as the kids want to see megamind and it seems to be the only cinema showing it in english (but it's 1 1/2hrs drive) the cinema in gib is still not showing it :dohh: noone will babysit owen though so we have to take him with us and OH will have to go to see the film with dylan and erin whilst i stay outside with owen. i shall go and do some really exciting supermarket shopping i guess as it's cheaper in spain than in gib. i would've liked to see the film though as i have never been to a 3D cinema before (what a child i am at heart  )

owen is still showing no signs of sleeping. i really need to get him to sleep in his cot but am going to leave that struggle til after the christmas period as routine'll be all over the place anyway til then.

will come back on later :hugs: to all xxx

argh i am so annoyed ... my tree is up and looked so pretty - within 5 minutes the lights have blown so no more pretty christmas tree.

Maybe really hope Owen settles.

Will try and update later need to have a shower and get washed ready for lunch out tomorrow!

H&F I'm sorry to hear about your tree!!! I hope you get it sorted soon!!

Maybe I hope you can get Owen settled okay, Oliver was late going to bed today as his was soooo full of beans, I figured there was no point in trying to get him to bed if he wasnt looking even a little bit tired!! So he watched me do some ironing and shouted a lot :haha:

Hannah I hope you have a better night tonight!

FruFru I love the poop / wee story - a classic!!! :haha: I would sooo do the same with the parking :dohh:

Modo I really hope that Bobby is better soon!! Teething is just horrible :(

Maybe I am so, so sorry to hear about your friend

We had a fun day, the Trafford Centre was busy but not too bad, and the shopping is now more or less done, yay! Just waiting on a lot of deliverys now

xx

Morning all, just a quickie from me.

Joni has got a poorly tum :( We went to dreamfeed her last night and I could smell she had pooped and it had gone all up her back again. She woke when we changed her and and within 10mins of putting her back in her cot she had gone again and needed another change of clothes, followed by another change of clothes at 5.45 this morning. Poor little maid :(

On a lighter less stinky note ;) my christmas tree is up :D it is lights alone at the moment as I think I am going to treat myself to some new decs this year as at 14 years old they are a little tatty now! Though I have to say as it is only a 2ft tree the lights on their own are quite pretty. I did not show Joni the tree and lights last night as I wanted hubby and I do do it together tonight. He got up with her this morning and when I came through he had put the tree on already boohoo! Ah well, she probably won't get excited about tree's, presents etc til next year anyway.

It is snowy outside so we are staying put today but even if the weather were ok I would not want to stray too far from the bath and a plentiful supply of clean clothes!

Have a lovely day all xx

FruFru how is Joni doing tonight? I hope her tummy has settled!!

I have my new car! Its fab. we went up to York and got another extended rear facing seat fitted (the Be Safe one) so I'm all spent up lol! It feels like its been such a long day . . . but its been fun. Poor Steve is working tonight (11pm - 8am) so he's been having a nap. I'm almost ready for bed myself!!

Have you guys got much snow? None here, well just a sprinkling. I'm not sure if we will get any or not, probably not now I have my car, haha! Its really, really cold though, brrrrr!!

I didn't make it in to work today, as we were in York, but I'm planning to go in on Monday and say hello to everyone. I can't say I'm looking forward to it but well, I guess it has to be done.

I really hope all the pressies I've ordered online arrive soon! My parcels are all 'dispatched' but not here yet . . . . fingers crossed!! I just ordered a load of cards from 'Funky Pigeon' as I found a code to get them half price! I needed some 'special' ones and the card shops are all sooo busy and I can't be bothered to fight my way around with the pram! So I ordered lots of lovely cards with pics of Oliver on lol! They worked out at about £1.50 and that includes first class postage so a complete bargain!! They are going to be posted on Monday so lets just hope the arrive on time lol! If anyone wants the code its FUNKY515 and it gives you 50% off any personalised cards in your basket :) Oh, and if you put in code 400295 I get £3.00 credit for refering you, and so will obviously love you forever, haha!

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend :)

xx

Argh, i'm dying from Christmas overload, i've far far far too much to do  Starting to stress now, and my presents still haven't arrived :( I've just this moment sat down, and now i realise i haven't had any tea..the tree is still not up, and i'm supposed to be going on the train to Reading tomorrow, and i have not packed the changing bag or sorted Roh's food or anything, eek, i have to leave the house at 8am  I really need a bath! So stupid that i spent the last hour removing limescale from the bathroom taps etc. ...but it was bugging me loads! Bleh, beans on toastt and a quick bath me thinks, must dash! :hugs:

Hi everyone!

Hope you are all having a good weekend - Emera you sound like a very busy bee!!!

Just having a quiet day here, still no snow! It is very cold though, brrr! Oliver and I just had lunch, so I'm having a cuppa while he amuses himself blowing bubbles and bouncing up and down in his high chair :haha:

Well the trip to Reading got cancelled, so i've just been having a really chilled out day, pottering through some jobs i've had to do and playing with Roh in the warm :cloud9: Sad not to see my Dad and brother, but we'll reschedule for the new year i guess. x

Hey all - weare having arelaxing weekend had a trip on the severn vally yesterday as our day out with friends was cancelled due to snow. We had set off early and every route was blocked with lorrys that couldnt get up hills or cars or just too much snow. Fortunately Amy still got to see santa ... pictures on facebook. I have also been comparing some of my pictures definately think I am starting to look like I have lost some weight still a long way to go tho!

Hope everyoneis ok x xx

:hi: I hope you are all well :hugs:

Joni seems a lot better today which is great  We have kept her at home the last couple of day on account of her explosive and frequent poops  Though to be fair we would have stayed put in any case with the snow. We have not had anymore snowfall in the last 24 hours or so and I am really hoping it might just go away :winkwink: While a white Christmas is very romantic it sure does bugger up getting out and about!

I am feeling a bit better about Christmas now. Most of my cards are posted, the tree is up, I only have 2 more presents to get and all the presents already bought are wrapped and ready to go  I have run myself ragged the last week getting to this point but I think it was worth it as now I can sit back, relax and start to enjoy the festive season

I really hope your parcels turn up in time Sarah and Emera [-o< It is weird as I ordered a t'shirt from amazon on Thursday which arrived on Saturday but one of the things we ordered last weekend has still not arrived

Off to dreamfeed the Joni - I love my sleepy snuggletime :cloud9:

:hugs: to you all xxx

Hey girls,
I'm freaking out, my period was due the 7th but it still hasn't come yet, we've been using protection every time, and OH said he would be sure if it had split, I'm really worried and wish it would come

Also when did your LO's sit up on their own properly for the first time? and when did you start giving them juice and they liked it? :)

Hey hannah,
Oliver was about 6 months when he sat unaided properly, before that he could do it for a little while but then wobble over lol!
I don't give oliver juice, so can't help with that one. He has water with his meals, and apart from that breastmilk. He loves water lol!

Hannah-I have only just started giving Amy juice and she pulls funny faces at it and sitting unaided Amy has been sitting for a few weeks so maybe 6months ish or a little later!

How is Amelia doing? Amy took ages from sitting with me holding her to being unaided but she literally found she could do it over night!

Thanks guys :)

She's doing great, she can sit up on her own for a couple of seconds but that's it, and can do it with me holding her at the moment. So I'm hoping she'll be able to do it herself by the time she's 6 months :) I attempted to give Amelia some juice yesterday but she didn't really take it and now there's a bottle open in the fridge and it says to use it within a couple of days :dohh:
