Sarah: I forgot to ask have you been using cloth again?

Sarah: I forgot to ask have you been using cloth again?

Hmmm, not really to be honest. I'm thinking about selling them . . . I wish I could get back into it but I just can't :dohh:

How are you getting on with them?

Hi :hi:

I made another new recipe today, finger "meatballs" except this time i wrote the recipe down properly and took photos of the stages, so that i can write a blog post with them  They went down really well, Roh scoffed 3 of them  Feeling a bit more chirpy today, we went for a nice walk in the morning so i could go get a coffee out, and a little trip to stock up on milk and eggs, which we always seem to run out of. I popped by the new organic cafe/shop on the way home, and picked up a Lebanese Mezze lunchbox, which Roh and i shared when we got home, yummy :) In the afternoon after Roh's nap, we had a little treasure hunt with his snack (hidden under cups and ontop of the arms of the sofa, etc.) and then i made a little blanket tent for Roh to play in, which he seemed quite amused at, and then destroyed after about 10 minutes :haha: He always windmills his arms and bounces when he's really excited about something these days, but now he's started doing it whilst he's kneeling, and so he sort of ends up hopping along on his knees, flailing his arms and giggling, its the funniest thing in the world, i must try to get it on video! :haha:

Modo - Roh loves his crawling and standing up, he'd be very angry if he couldn't get about! Oh and also, he has a couple of cuddly toys in his cot which he throws about and bites, and also seems to have recently become very interested in one teddy bear we have, he always laughs whenever he sees him :haha: Hurrah for Bobby crawling! :happydance:

:hugs:

Emera it sounds like you had a lovely day! I'm glad you're feeling more upbeat :hugs: Roh sounds like he had a fun day too!! The windmill arms on his knees thingy sounds super cute!!!

Amy are you back at work tomorrow honey? :hugs:

H&F WOW - shopping for fifteen quid?!?!?! I spend about seventy pounds a week at the moment, its way too much!

We had a nice quiet day. Steve was a bit of an arse but I won't bother you lovely ladies with it :haha: I'm just listing loads of stuff on e-bay, I'm trying to list stuff every week to get rid of things and also to have a bit of extra money since I'm not getting maternity pay now. I hate dipping into my savings! I'm doing okay, I popped some bits and pieces on last week and all together they have sold for over fourty pounds tonight, not bad for just little things!

evening all :flower:

I spent ages writing you all replies yesterday and then accidentally fell asleep :dohh: the laptop ran out of battery so I lost all my ramblings :dohh:

I'll try my best to recap!

emera - I really appreciate your supportive words :hugs: I'm glad you're feeling on the up - the lebanese lunchbox sounds yummy!

maybe - :trouble: :gun: :grr: to Danny. Hope you are feeling better. great news about the :bfn: - any sign of AF? I also like the dark green necklace best for Owen :hugs:

H&F - how exciting you'll be sending out invites soon :happydance:

modo - yey for Bobby crawling :yipee: :happydance:

frufru - hope you get some sleep and that Joni's next tooth appears soon :hugs:

sarah - hope you got out and had a lovely day.

we've started on doing up the house for selling  it makes me so sad. I've been job hunting like a crazy person but there is just absolutely nothing at all :nope: I'm going to have to write a lot of different cvs and just apply for anything and everything! Its very time consuming but I feel a massive responsibility with providing for the girls and Alex. speaking of which, Alex is grumbling, he's really restless. I'm sure its my milk going :( x

Amy are you still taking the meds for your milk? I can't remember what it was called :dohh:

Do you need to do much to the house? :hugs: I hate that things like this happen to lovely people :(

sarah - its my last week off this week....for now! we've got to do the dining room (which kerry stripped today), the kitchen and downstairs loo - we were planning to make the kitchen bigger. we've got a larder and a coal store we were going to knock into but that was when it was going to be for us so we're just going to put in the cheapest kitchen we can get. The current one would make the house sell as "in need of modernisation" :haha:. we also need new bedroom carpets in our room and Hollys. I realise now how much I love this house. It has so much potential and I do love the area. I hope we can be just as happy somewhere else. :hugs: thanks for your lovely words :hugs:

oh and its domperidone. I was down to 20 mgs a day (2 tablets) from 90 mgs but I've had to up it to see if I can get some milk back. I had to give him EBM the last two nights. His nappies have been bone dry :(

I'm glad you've got another week :hugs: Have you got anything fun planned?

I'm sure you'll find somewhere else you love too :hugs:

Unfortunately not :( I've got gabriel one more day tomorrow which will be lovely. Then I've got to take Alex for two settling in sessions at nursery on weds and thurs

How are your chickens - have they recovered from the wind incident? How many do you have? x

Awww, I hope the settling in sessions go better. I'm sure they will :hugs: I'm sure you'll have lots of fun too!

The chickens are fine :haha: We've got three . . . I don't have much to do with them really. Steve wanted them and when we got them I said it was fine, but I wasn't going to be the one looking after them - if he wanted them, he had to look after them. I will catch them if they escape and de-freeze their water when it snows and Steve is asleep etc but I make a point of not doing the day to day caring for them, because if I start I'll end up looking after them all the time. They are quite funny though, but its soooo much cheaper to just buy eggs  It's nice though, we need to sort out a bigger run for them for the spring though and sort a few other things out. Last summer we gave them the run of the garden but they poop EVERYWHERE!

amy - i really feel for you :hugs: do you definately have to move away?

sarah - sorry steve was being an arse! feel free to rant! i feel like i'm always ranting, you guys must be so fed up

emera - glad you are feeling better!

h&f - sounds like the wedding prep is going along nicely :)

i'm not speaking to danny at the moment. he's been a total twat tonight. he couldnt be arsed to go to his mums for dinner as arranged so i had to take the kids. when we got back he had a go at dylan for putting cartoons on tv. then i asked him to entertain owen whilst i read dylan a bedtime story and he said 'what choice do i have' :saywhat: bear in mind he's not spent any time with the kids over the weekend!!! then i told him to look at my poor bruised and cut boob courtesy of owen and he just looked at me in disgust. i returned the look of disgust and havent spoken to him since! i felt like burning a hole in his uniform when i ironed it. maybe i shouldnt have even bothered ironing it! ungrateful sod didnt even say thanks when he saw me doing it. so i made a cup of tea and brought it to the bedroom and have stuffed my face with chocolate to make me feel better but now i just feel worse as i feel like a fat lump. what i have done to desreve being given the cold shoulder all weekend i dont know. i asked him but he said theres nothing wrong but thats a blatant lie!

:haha: we always had chickens when I was a child and the smell when my dad cleaned them out was awful! I always found the eggs tasted a lot nicer even though they arent really cheaper. I always buy free range now x

Amy they are smelly things :haha: I knew that though as my friend had chickens when I was little, thats another reason I wasn't going to be cleaning them out :haha:The eggs are nicer though, though at the moment Steve has competely lost track of which are the new and which are the old eggs so we need to throw them all out and start again :dohh: I don't think he's enjoying having them so much in this crappy weather.

Maybe :grr: :grr: Blimey Danny is sooo out of order!!! I don't mind you ranting, I'm sure the others don't either :hugs:

Okay, I'll rant, feel free to ignore :haha:

Steve was just been a grump today :dohh: I think the problem is that he's 'secretly' started smoking again. He stopped about two years ago and was so, so horrible when he was stopping that I almost left him. He was just truely horrible. But then he was doing so well. When I was pregnant I thought he'd been smoking again, at work. His suit would smell of smoke some times and I could smell it on him, but he'd just say it was because he'd been in the smoking area talking to people. But I think as a non smoker, you can tell. Then I found his little ciggie stash hidden behind the X Box one day :dohh: I told him and he just kind of laughed it off. He's a grown man, so if he's stupid enough to smoke, its his problem, but I just find it sooooo selfish and gross TBH  So now I notice the smell quite a bit, I'm pretty sure he smokes quite a bit when he's at work. He went out with his friend the other day and the next day his car smelt so bad I refused to put Oliver in it - I know his friend smokes but I was so mad that anyone had been smoking in the car where Oliver goes, esp since he has a cough at the moment and Steve had had a huge go at me for putting deoderant on in the bedroom on the same bloomin day :grr: So anyway, I know he's smoking again. I expect he's keeping it from me for two reasons. Firstly, because he knows I think its disgusting, and secondly because I think he thinks he's just an occasional smoker, and that he's not addicted again etc etc, so he doesn't want to be smoking all the time. Except that he is such a grumpy git! Its not all the time, but its just so like he was before when he smoked. For example, tonight he was cooking Omlettes for tea, he was doing Olivers and there was no cheese grated. I was sat at the table playing with Oliver, with the netbook on. Instead of asking me to grate the cheese, he had a little strop that there was none done (I tend to keep some ready grated in the fridge) and started grating cheese like a crazy man and then managed to grate his finger. OUCH! It was bleeding a bit so I took over the cooking and he threw some stuff on the floor (my stuff, obviously) to get a plaster, and then went off in a complete huff moaning that there should have been cheese grated :saywhat: If he had just said 'can you grate some cheese' I would have done it, argh it makes me so mad! So then he buggered off and got ready for work while I gave Oliver is tea and everything and then he went to work, still in a complete huff. he used to get like this when he smoked before, then he'd disapear off outside and come back in all calm and fine again. He's spoiling his days off because he's so damn grumpy!!!!!! Argh!!!!!!!! So I'm utterly pissed off at him. I'm so sure that this is whats wrong (obviously he would compeltely deny it - when he stopped smoking and he was horrible it was because of me, not because he had stopped smoking :dohh:) The more I rant the more mad I'm getting! :haha: I need to have it out with him though. When he'd been a non smoker for a year I changed our life insurance because after 12 months you're classed as a non smoker, which is obviously a LOT cheaper. I'm worried that if something happens to him the life insurance wouldn't pay out, and Oliver and I would be homeless and have nothing but debt :( I know its a morbid thing to think, but I've dealt with people at work who have gone through things like this and its awful. So I need to change it all. I'm so annoyed at him for starting again  I've never smokied and I just don't understand it at all. I don't know why he'd do something that might leave Oliver without his Daddy  and if he stopped again and was as horrible as last time, I'm not sure I could stay and go through it again

Blimey, what a rant :haha:

Sarah - :hugs: How annoying for you. Its such a shame that Steve is being grumpy at you :( As far as the smoking thing goes though, i can sympathise a little. I smoked for years (like 17 years or so) and i finally managed to give up when i found out i was pregnant. Even though i knew that i had a little baby in there to look after i still found it massively difficult, and it wasn't until 2nd tri i fully quit. I'm really glad i did, but its a horrible and insidious addiction. My OH still smokes now, he's such an arse the times he's tried to quit that i've always been secretly glad when he's caved in. I struggle almost daily still with not starting again, especially with there being cigerettes in the house. When i get stressed i think, "ooh, just one that wouldn't hurt" Except i know it will, because i'll have one, and then another one a few days after, and then before i know it i'll start again :( I don't regret things in my life really, even though i've had some pretty bad things happen, but if there was one thing i could change it would be ever smoking that first cigerette!
You are right really that you need to talk to Steve about it, the NHS is really good now with helping people to quit, and he could always use patchs or gum or something instead of going cold turkey and being such a grump. In my opinion the worst thing about cigerettes isn't what they do to your body, its what they do to your mind. If Steve is still around people who smoke regularly, then i can understand how easy it would have been for him to start again. :hugs: i hope you can find a way to talk to him about it. Just remember, its like any other drug addiction, and people will lie about it and become very defensive, so try and find a very gentle way to discuss it if you don't want to have a big row. :hugs:

Emera thank you so much :hugs: It really helps to get the 'other side' of the story, because I feely admit that its one thing that I don't understand at all. And unfortuantely after the crap its put us through I have very little sympathy for him, I just hate it. He is around people who smoke all the time at work, and I know he deals with some pretty crappy, stressful situations so I'm guessing thats how it started. I kind of understand that. Kind of :dohh:
He had tried to quit a few times before the 'biggie' when he did it. He always went cold turkey, was horrible but wouldn't admit that he needed any help, and then he;d go a few weeks and then start again. Like you I was always breathed a secret sign of relief when he started again that his mood might improve. When he quit he was doing the whole I don't need any help routine again. He was so nasty, that I ended up buying him one of those inhalater things and leaving it with a note saying that he might not need it, but I needed him to try it, or I would be packing my bags and leaving because I couldnt cope. I'd just been diagnosed with a partal molar pregnancy and I was in the middle of finding out if I would need chemo to get my bloods back to normal. I was stressed and upset and he was evil  He did use it though and he was like a different person. Maybe he needs one of those again . . . . urgh I just don't know :( I don't want to argue about it. I'll have a think about what to do. Thankyou so much though Emera, I really, really appreicate your advice :hugs:

sarah - :hugs: smoking is horrid! danny used to smoke and then stopped and then started again when i was pregnant with owen. it was horrid and he stunk and the flat stunk even though he didnt smoke inside he smoked by the inner well of the block and it filtered in. i felt it was disgusting and hated him smoking and then handling the baby. i was also worried about the life insurance as he was down as non smoker! thankfully he quit a bit after owen was born. i dont know why steve feels he has to keep it from you  if he thinks he's pulling the wool over your eyes he's mistaken! it's mad to think he can convince you he's not smoking :dohh: if he wants to continue smoking there's not much you can do, he needs the will power to be able to stop. i hated danny for smoking as i was worried about the increased risk of sids and also erin and dylan started sucking in pens and candy sticks pretending to smoke  not something i want them to aspire to :nope: i hope he decides to quit :hugs: it must've been horrid dealing with the molar pregnancy and him with his strops :growlmad: good thing you're a strong woman!!! :hugs: rant away! it helps!!!

:bfn: this morning. looking more like i can breathe a sigh of relief :) if still :bfn: friday i reckon i'm in the clear!
