frufru - Lakeside is our nearest Ikea too Glad to hear the poonami's are on the way out. Joni must look so cute with just a top tooth you should get a picture for us

LM - I was worried at first because they were on messenger together and he was begging her to kiss him but I talked to Emily and he only meant a peck and I know she doesnt want to I've seen him at the school too and he's only up to Emily's shoulder However, I am DREADING teenage years Logan the little ladies man! He sounds like a thoughtful little chap

maybe - your day sounds lovely! How nice you can have BBQ's there in February!! It was cold and drizzly here today did you get to have the vitamin chat?

modo - Alex's two front top teeth were by far the worse, the two teeth either side of them came through within a week and he barely noticed! Good to hear the teetha helps Bobby Thankyou for asking, Alex was a lot better today, more his chirpy self

We had a lazy morning, the girls did their homework. Then this afternoon we braved a walk in the drizzle and then Becky and Gabriel popped over for a cuppa. I'm feeling more tense than normal about job prospects this evening so I am determined to get my CV together and just apply for anything and everything! Its a horrible thought that in less than 5 months I will have no income at all

We've had a good weekend, although Oliver had a clingy night last night and cried everytime I put him down . . . I think I slept for about 3 hours in the end and most of it with Oliver asleep on me. Urgh! Getting up was hard but I've been so busy all day I haven't had chance to be tired I'm crossing my fingers for a much better night tonight

We've been getting loads of annoying little jobs done over the weekend . . . Steve got started on the garden yesterday and was saved by the rain today I managed to get loads of house work done though

Sarah thanks for asking, Roh is pretty much back on form and eating again, the poos are alot less scary too I'm feeling bloody awful, i've spent all day with d&v Plus my ears are still aching like mad Feeling a bit sorry for myself really. Test results should be in tomorrow so hopefully i'll get some treatment, not looking forwards to work this week, although i won't be going in if my sick bug hasn't cleared up properly. Looking after a fully active and back on form roh has been hard work today, i've just woken up after going to bed at 4pm when OH got home from work, think i'll head back there now as i'm still feeling wiped out.

sarah - well done on getting the housework done i have loads to do still!

i lost 4lbs this week i am now very near my pre-pregnancy weight! only another 3lbs or so to go! then i want to lose another stone or so after that.

we are thinking about maybe going away for 3 nights as danny has a week off after he has his passing out parade at the end of the month and after that we have no coincding holidays for the rest of the year we are thinking of going to leeds as we can fly direct there from malaga (we can drive to malaga airport and leave the car there) paula (my sil) is studying there so we can see her too. it's all in the air though as i don't know when the job interviews will be. i am going to call up the dept of education today and see if there is any chance they may know more or less when they will be.

Just a quickie from me.

Joni's poop's are a lot better and we have had no escapee's since Saturday Little miss is still cutting two new top teeth and they are so close now! Still no sign of the bottom ones

Joni learnt to turn the pages in her board books over the weekend you have to lift the page up a bit at the edge so she can slip her thumb behind the page to grip it and then flips it over. Sometimes when she is tired she tries to bob down and look around the page instead of turning it over to look at it She has also started to try and kiss some of her favorite pictures It looks like we have another bookworm in the family

I am a bit rushed for the next few days as it is Han's inquest tomorrow so might not be on much for a couple of days.

Well I really should go as I have a load of chores to do while Joni naps - not that she is napping mind you, she is currently singing to herself in her cot I suspect that the singing will turn to screaming shortly and no nap will be forthcoming but one can but hope

I'll post again properly but I really need some reassurance if anyone sees this. My boss is coming to my house today at 3pm. I want to ask to work a 4 day week with Fridays off and I am so nervous about asking. Please please can I have some reassurance? Also do you girls think its ok I am asking? I really want to spent Fridays with Bobby and maybe go to some playgoups as he gets older.

Do you have any advice on what to say? I am feeling pretty nervous!

Happy Valentines Day all - Hopefully I will have chance to catch up properly later just about to dash out the door to take Amy to rhythm time ... I ought Dave a couple of pressies for our anniversary and valentines day so I hope he is really embarrased he hasnt got me anything ... I made him breakfast in bed aswell! argh men.

Modo - a couple - actually all of my NCT group are now only working 4 day weeks and had to have the conversation with their bosses. Is anyone else at your work doing a four day week? I dont know what to suggest ... but my friends have said they had to be flexible with days! Good luck x x x

Thanks H&F. I don't think anyone else does but I work for a small charity and am one of three full-time employees. I will be working from but I still really want Fridays off

modo - i'd just ask what the liklihood of working four days a week would be. as h&f says you may have to be flexible with what day you'd have off but there's no harm in asking! good luck!

Modo you are absolutely within your rights to ask for four days off, if you want to justify it just explain that you need to get your work / home balance and that yoiu feel that if you know you have Fridays to devote to Bobby, you will be able to focus better on work on the other days?

what a lazy day, we are still in our pj's! mil came for dylan this morning so i didnt even have to leave the flat to take him to school! owen has an obsession for our blow heater and keeps bum shuffling in it's direction, grabbing it and throwing it over

i found out my interview is on monday! eek! we're probably going to book something for the weekend 26feb - 1mar. we would've liked a romantic break just the 2 of us, as we haven't had one in years and i think it'd really be helpful to reconnect! but as owen is bf and uses boobie all night we have to take him with us. erin is going to stay with my mum and dylan with my mil. i wanted to take them really as we're taking owen but danny quite rightly said that dylan shouldn't miss school. do you think that it is bad of me to leave them. please be honest. i feel bad!!!

emera - poor you!! that sounds awful. I'm glad Roh is fully recovered but it sounds like you need a break and some TLC I hope they get your treatment sorted promptly

modo - did you ask about the 4 days? I hope your boss was understanding and I think you got some good advice from sarah on how to ask

Good luck A weekend away sounds like a brilliant idea dont feel bad about leaving Dylan and Erin, you are allowed and very much deserve a break!!! My parents used to go away for weekends all the time when I was little and we loved staying at my Nan's.

well thats it for me, work tomorrow I feel really wierd about it. I've realised I love my job but now its going. I've got used to the idea of leaving Alex so it wont be as bad as if I had pretended it wasnt happening. I'm only working 3 days this week so by Friday I can be with my boy again I will miss him so much it hurts in the day but I have to bring the pennies in while I still can.... x
