Moms of April/May/June 2010 babies thread! :)

mork i am jealous! 4pm!!! owen's woken up 5 times already since 8pm and only had 1 1hr nap all day!!!

emera - that does sound like a solution! is the job yours if you want it or do you have to apply and go to interview? hope you get a :bfp: this month!!!

owen is bf again :dohh: we have moved from the sofa to the bed. am quite enjoying danny on night shift as i get to watch programs on living and discovery h&h that he'd not like :haha:

emera i asked my sis about the whole verbal contract thing and my sis says a verbal contract does count but is difficult to prove :dohh: my dad is an ex judge and said the same.

Amy - Yeah its not the most exciting job in the work, but, it looks like heaven from where i'm standing right now, more money, and not all this stress, i can focus on the nice things in life ;) Also, i'm not sure work are discriminating, they've really bent their "rules" (not rules, but their standard employment policies) to help accomodate me, which i do really appriciate them doing. Problem is, the only other people they employ with children are either Dads, or they are in their upper management and accounts department, so they can afford childcare. I'm kind of a unique case for them, and they aren't really used to having to cope with people who aren't just available whenever. I can see where they are coming from, but, equally i really wish they'd either, expressed their concerns sooner, or at least saved them for a time when i wasn't so clearly stressed out. Ah well, the whole thing has really put me off my job :(

owen loved dylan and erin's little trampoline they have at my mums! i put some pics on fb. have a video but will upload it tomorrow as cant do it from my phone. well owen's unlatched himself so going to read a chapter or two of my book and then try to catch some  before the next waking xxx

Maybe - Its sort of complicated, they are looking for a chef at OH's place, but again i would have to work slightly odd hours from what their employees usually work. OH is going to have a chat with his boss, we've spent tonight putting together a written proposal to try and sell our idea to him. If he goes for it, then i'd just have a trial shift, which is what usually happens in catering, interviews are usually just to organise your trial. Most likely though the trial would be a formality, as i think OH's boss would take me on on recommendation alone.

emera - ah ok, its a shame they bent their rules then backtracked! I just get cross when its so hard for women with children who are trying to work to support their family. I am dreading starting a new job somewhere else and trying to sort it all out. I hope your OH's work like your plan.

maybe - hope you get some sleep tonight.

Oh dear I am rubbish at remembering what everyone else has said! All that I can remember is that emera I hope things work out for you, I am having a rough time trying to get flexible working so have similar thoughts and feelings. Hope it all works out and soon.
Well she slept from 4pm to 6.30am with only 2 wakings for a feed! I think it may be as she has started to pull herself up (well I hope that's it and not a bug!!) she usually sleeps 7-6.30 overnight with two wakings on average for food.
Hope you all have a good day x x

Oh and am3y - I hope you sort your working situation soon, I think it is so sad that pfizers has done this! X

Morning lovely ladies! Gosh its a GORGEOUS day here again today!! Steve's outside doing the garden, and I'm just settling Oliver for a nap.

Mork wow what a good sleep! I could do with one of those myself :haha: When are you due back at work?

Amy when is your interview?

Emera that's so unfair of your work! I would feel just the same. The new job sounds good though, if it would leave you less stressed and with more money it sounds like a winner!

HandF I hope you are okay :hugs:

Does anyone fancy forming a little syndicate for the Euromillions? I'll put the tickets on if everyone paypals me, and then I can take a piccie of the ticket and pop it on here so we all know the numbers? Its a HUGE jackpot and well, I think we deserve to win :haha: Let me know!

Well I'm trying a new nap routine today, since we're likely to be home all day and Steve isn't in bed so I can put Oliver in bed. He woke at seven, and he's alseep now in his side car cot. He's been totally missing his morning nap and then been SO tired lately. He's also got a really runny nose, and yesterday his eyes were watering all the time. I wondered if he had hayfever but mum thought it was a bit early / he was a bit young so I'm not sure. His snotty nose has also ment the return of his awful cough, which was only just clearing up after last time :dohh:

Right then, well I guess I'll go find something to do while Oliver naps! I'm a bit lost since he usually naps on my knee! Hmmmm, I think I'll go put the kettle on to start with :haha:

Xx

Oh, and Emera, even if you do get your BFP this month, could you not just not tell if you moved jobs? And then say you were 12 weeks or something when you found out?

I don't want to jinx myself but Oliver is still napping!! He usually does no more than half an hour . . . which shows that I really, really need to start putting him in his cot to nap (even if it is his cotbed in his room). It's been great! So far I've had a cuppa, posted on here, watched Steve digging in the garden :haha:, replied to some emails, packed some stuff I sold on ebay, had a little tidy round, done my hair, and I'm about to do my makeup. I could get used to this!!!!!!

ooh sarah well done you and oliver. owen naps in his buggy or on me, for 20-30mins generally. yesterday he only had 1 nap all day (though it was longer than usual) and he was a nightmare in the evening! then he slept really badly. i'm letting him crawl everywhere now to tire himself out, then it's boobie and buggy so i can sort out dinner for tonight! i am going to sort myself out with paypal and when i do i think your euromillions idea is a fab one  will let you know when i sort out paypal! ok off to give owen boobie xxx

Oliver is still napping!!!!! Thats TWO hours!!!!!!

I've now cleaned the bathroom, done some more cleaning, made Steve some lunch, and now I'm wondering if I should wake him up :dohh:

He woke up :)

Just over two hours!! And I have to say he's in a fantastic mood, normally when he wakes up he's a bit grumpy. I'm so pleased! Now I just need to work out how I can get his daytime naps in his cotbed in his room. My video monitor is all set up in our room. I guess we could buy another, maybe a normal monitor?

If he napped for two hours every morning I'd get SO much done!!!

Maybe that's how Olivers naps have been - some days he'd go all day on a few ten minute cat naps :dohh: I'm LOVING the no cry nap solution! :happydance:

We're now onto nap number two . . . .

Sorry to bore you all with my little nap log :haha:

All the stuff for the garden just arrived, Steve now has to take about two tons of stuff from the front of the house to the back using only a wheelbarrow  Karma's a bitch

sarah thats great napping  i need to re read the book. and  about steve and karma :haha:

owen went to sleep under an hour ago and already woken :dohh: he's having boobie again now!

H&F: I can't believe he said you look fat :growlmad: That's just horrid! You look absolutely stunning and you have done so well!!!! Of course you should post here hon! You are not being a downer. We are all friends here and we are here for each other through good times and bad times :hugs:

Amy: sorry to hear that that things are tough with Kerry :hugs: and how that boy treated Emily!

Sarah: that's lovely to hear about Kate :happydance: :happydance: Such good news :hugs: Really annoying that Steve couldn't spend 5 seconds texting you to let you know where he went :growlmad: I can't believe he came home at 4am! Bobby does that with the PS3 :haha: Glad your chair covers from the US arrived and that they were worth the delay! Great to hear that you are doing so well :) I think I speak for everybody here when I say that we are all so proud of you! Well done to Oliver for that great nap!

Katie: It looks great!

Emera: I am sorry that your OH's work are being such jerks! Can they just go back on their concessions like that?!!! Sorry to hear that it was all verbal with nothing signed :( I am sorry that the situation caused you and your OH to argue :( I hope Roh's smile made you feel better the next day hon

Maybe: I LOVE that picture of Owen  Happy Birthday to your Dad hon :hugs: Hope he had a lovely day! The pictures on FB were so cute :D

Frufru: Thanks for asking hon! Hopey is doing well (for Hopey anyway) and has gone back to being the psycho kitty she usually is :haha: I am doing a lot better! I have been letting myself grieve over the birth that I wanted and the breastfeeding and hopefully will be able to move on. Hope you had a lovely birthday hon :hugs: Glad you liked your presents (apart from Joni's :haha:) Have a great time is Scotland!

Mork: I remember you from the trimesters so didn't think you are a stalker! Come and join us here if you want to chat :) It's not imposing either! I really regret not joining in from the first trimester (I started getting scared by 3 tri and joined then) but it's never too late :)

Emera: that's terrible that your work are being jerks hon :hugs: How come they are backtracking? :(

I got my letter from work today. They seem to be going for the 4 day week but I will have to go to the office (3 hour train ride round trip) once a week. I guess I will have to do it.

Bobby has a diaper rash :( We went out to the park yesterday and he must have pooed in the car and I didn't smell till we got home :( He cried when I changed his diaper and put the cream on his butt  I felt so guilty  We gave him some nudey time the morning (four pees I had to clean up) and he slept nude for both his naps (I put a towel on the bed). So hopefully it will get better.

Sarah - Roh started napping sooo much better when i started settling him in his cot for naps, it really sorted averything out. Previously he'd only really nap on me, and only for about 20-30 mins. These days he's quite capable of doing 3.5 hours if he doesn't bother with a morning nap  I have to say i must have the laziest child ever though, he goes to sleep somewhere between 7-8pm, and doesn't usually wake up until about 8.30-9am :haha: He's a good boy though, when he wakes up, he just sits in his cot playing with his teddies waiting for someone to come along :cloud9: These days when i go in and say good morning, he just looks round, as if to say, "oh, there you are, hang on a sec" and then carries on playing for a minute or so before he stands up and holds his arms out to get picked up, cute :D

Oh, also, yes, if i change jobs, i won't tell them about any BFP until i've actually got the job :haha:

Saying that, OH had a brief chat with his boss, and its not looking massively hopeful, but he didn't really have time to talk, so i'll just have to wait to find out. I've had another thought though, that i am actually a fully qualified childminder, i did several courses a few years ago, so whilst i've never actually registered, it wouldn't be difficult to go through that process and refresh my paediatric first aid course, and get set up. When i think about how much stuff we'd have to do to the flat to get past any inspection though, my brain just starts to hurt  I seriously think it will be the best option though, as if i took on just 2 children, i'd make more money than i do now, and i wouldn't have to worry about OH's hours at all. Plus i'd get to see Roh all day :cloud9: Hmm, i won't think about it anymore tonight though, as i'm far too tired from work.

:hugs: to you all.
