Moms of April/May/June 2010 babies thread! :)

Emera   at pipe bombs!!! Hopefully since its a day school they won't have time to plot things like that   I was reading about the school on wiki last night though and there was a list of famous ex pupils, some going back hundreds of years of course, and one of them was a serial killer  :haha: Hmmm, I skipped that bit :haha: I went to a state school in Sheffield and our famous ex pupils are the Arctic Monkeys :dohh: :haha:

I bet it was much worse for your mum than you when you were small :hugs: Bless your poor teacher!! Been the only young male in a girls school though, well it is asking for it :haha:

sarah - glad you got the car booked it. my kids love the coupe cars bet er have no garden! poo! schools in gib are co-ed up til year 8 and then it's one school for boys and one for girls. there's only one private school here and it's no better than the goverment schools. make sure you check out tha teachers are qualified. when i was doing my PGCE there was a girl doing it too and she was working in a private school teaching with no qaulifications  i mean parents spend lots of money on private schools for their children to be educated in a private school only for them to be taught by non-qualified teachers. maybe things have changed since i did my PGCE 10 years ago but then private school teachers didnt need to be qualified.

emera - great weightloss!

h&f - :hugs: hun :hugs:

LC - great news that will was ok at nursery

amy - i love licking the bowl! yum! :munch: my kids love uncooked mix more than the finished product! Happy birthday Emily! :cake:

well yesterday we had a nice afternoon. we drove up the coast in spain to estepona and took the kids to a park there. unfortunately erin was sick on the way back  without warning. not pretty! she was fine after. we got takeaway KFC after :munch: and took it home and then i went out to Mcdonalds for Mcflurrys after the kids fell asleep! so much for the diet!

i sould've never said owen's sleep was better. he was awful last night. he woke loads as usual and at one point just wouldnt settle. he tries to get up and crawl off the bed :dohh: i need the cot! danny needs to get it for me!!!

Maybe thanks for that info, I'll def check out the qualifications. The exam results there are really excellent, I'm very impressed so far

You sooooo need the cot! You've only been waiting a year :dohh:

Well we're just having breakfast and then we're off into town. I need to go to the post office and I just read that postage is going up by 10 per cent on Monday  so its worth me going today and not waiting until Monday!!!!!

that's good about the exam results  maybe the girl i was telling you about was at a dodgy private school

yeah i'm getting a bit fed up about the cot as i really cant try and sleep train in the bed!

Hey all -

Well I am fine - I say fine I still cry at everything but definately getting there!

Sarah - I dont have any personal experience of private schools but my friend went to a single sex school and loved it, they all got great grades as they were more focussed and to be honest came out so mature and lovely ( may of just been this small group of boys i knew) but they were so more mature with women! I really dont think Oliver will have a problem with girls ... Daves brother went to a non private school mixed with girls throughout growing up and still cant speak to women now!

Maybe - I really hope Danny gets the cot for you soon! Is Owen co-sleeping? I cant imagine sharing with Amy she moves so much during the night! I love your photos on facebook of the park it looks ace!

Amy - I laughed at the cake mix ... I love cake mix but like you had a similar experience at eating to much and it made me feel sick and definately put me off for a while!

How is everyone else getting on? Sorry I just wrote a super long post and cant remeber what I wrote!

Well we have booked to go down south next week for a break and weight watchers has gone down the drain so need to pull myself together and get this weight off for good ... I have lost all my will power recently and was really hoping to be at goal by August (doesnt look promising now! )

Anyway hope everyone is ok. We are off for a wander round the shops and then going to Daves parents for dinner (oh joy!) Not looking forward to it as its really not a baby friendly house and Amy just wants to crawl everywhere!

h&f - yes owen co-sleeps! need to get him used to the cot! if i ever get it :dohh: hope it's not too painful a night at your inlaws!!

sarah - woohooo, well done for getting your car's trip to the garage sorted, I hope its nothing too expensive! I think you are being sensible looking into schools already. If we get to stay in this house it will be good for Alex as the local primary school is excelllent. I'd be very worried if all the local schools were crap, it sounds like you are doing the best thing

emera - I agree, TV is crap! I also like masterchef :) wow, great weightloss  pipebombs!!! :haha:

maybe - I always find that as soon as I say Alex has had a good night its the kiss of death and nights are hell again! YOu so need the cot though! Hope erin is OK - does she get car sick? :hugs:

H&F - you're one strong lady, thats great you are getting there :hugs: hope dinner at your inlaws went well :flower:

well my biggest baby is 11  she was really pleased with her presents and we went to the zoo and all had a lovely day. It was the warmest day so far! I've got my family coming round tomorrow for a walk and then tea and cake. I'm shattered, alex is sleeping OK but he just wakes so early and Kerry never wakes up so I lie there entertaining him from 5.30/6am onwards  I just want a little lie in, like till 7am - that would be amazing! x

Amy WOW - 11 years old!! Happy Birthday Emily!! It sounds like you're having a wonderful weekend! Fingers crossed you get a little lay in sometime :hugs: I'm so lucky with Oliver, at the moment he wakes once in the night and then wakes for the day sometime between 7am and 8am.

You're lucky having great schools locally, I'm sure the ones near hear aren't that bad . . . but they are just not like the schools I went to (even though I had a state education). The more I look into it, the more I think private is the way to go. Plus the school we really like (so far) would be fine to get to even if we moved closer to my mums, or if Steve got moved to another club.

Oliver and I walked into town this morning, I thought it was going to rain but luckily it didn't. I paid some cheques in, went to the post office (and bought a stupid amount of stamps since they are going up in price on Monday :haha:), did a spot of shopping. Then we bumped into Steve's mum so we went for a cup of tea. When we got home we had lunch and Steve got up, and then we just had a nice quiet afternoon. Steve's working tonight so I got the ironing done :happydance: and I'm watching 'The English Patient' though I missed a few bits so I'm not really following it :haha:

Urgh, I shouldn't have watched The English Patient, I haven't cried at a film like that in YEARS  now my nose is all stuffy :dohh:

i dont think i've seen the english patient from start to finish!!! owen has woken 2 times in 4hrs though the 1st was about 40mins after he went down so danny and i actually managed to watch a film with no interruptions!!! a first i think. lets see what the night has in store!!! danny says he's going to get the cot tomorrow!

amy - dylan gets car sick and throws up but not usually erin! glad emily had a good bday

amy early mornings suck! danny never gets up either :dohh: though for a couple of months when erin was about 1 1/2 he used to give me a lie in and do some ironing  that didnt last long though :dohh: and now he's on shifts that is never going to happen again!

morning all!!! happy mother's day! :flower: dylan made me a card at school and signed it from himself, erin and owen :cloud9:

Happy Mothers Day mummies!!!

Maybe that's sooooooo cute! Fingers crossed for the cot!!

thanks sarah! :) i'm keeping my fingers crossed for the cot too! he's got a day off on wednesday and thursday so he'd best get it then if he doesnt get it today!!!!!

Keep nagging Maybe :haha:

I have no idea what to do today :dohh: Steve worked late so he didn't get home until 9am, so he's in bed pretty much all day. The weather looks a bit like it might rain. So we might stay home . . . Unless I can think of something fun to do :haha:

Oliver is just sat playing with his toys. He's obsessed with stacking cups :haha: And I just coloured half a load of white washing blue because I forgot that I'd thrown a pair of Olivers jeans into the washer :dohh: its mainly Olivers vests and things so not too bad (they are quite a nice blue :haha: ) but Steve also now has a couple of really nice blue Ralph Lauren tshirts :dohh: :dohh:

Happy Mother's Day lovely ladies!

I've had a lush day with Will, we went swimming and he leaps of the edge no problem it's so cute.

He has also started giving kisses when you ask although I'm not sure the tongue out open mouthed kisses are appropriate.

He has also been whizzing around with his walker and can almost turn it himself, I'm a very proud Mummy today :cloud9:

Hope you've all had a lovely day xxx

Happy Mothers' Day fab Mummys! :hugs:

I got a lovely card from Roh, which OH had gotten him to draw / scribble in :cloud9: It was also quite bent with a slightly chewed corner, apparently he didn't want to give it back to put in the envelope :haha:
I've had a lovely day with my Mum, who bought me a bunch of flowers :) I cooked a proper roast dinner, and then we went for a walk, and coffee and cake, yum :) I've just finished wrapping OH's birthday presents and hidden them all, and i'm waiting for my chicken soup to finish (roast leftovers) so i can slurp that and watch wonders of the universe in a couple of minutes :happydance:

About to start a very busy week: OH's birthday tomorrow, my SIL birthday on wednesday, OH's grandad's funeral on thursday (:(), so off to manchester for that, and then down to Devon on friday for my mum's 60th birthday party on the saturday (and Roh's party too, they are having a joint 60th and 1st birthday party :haha:) then back here on Sunday for Roh's birthday on monday! Busy busy busy! I'm just looking forwards to spending all week with my boys! :cloud9:

Right, must dash, i've a date with prof.Brian Cox

:hugs:
