Moms of April/May/June 2010 babies thread! :)

Hey all -

I will hopefully get chance to talk properly later but I just dont seem to stop at the moment. Its Daves birthday today - I think I upset him this morning as I didnt mention it ... I have a load of pressies hidden away and a cake and plan to get him his favourite dinner tonight but mornings are always such a rush I thought he could have all his birthday stuff when he gets home from work. Other than that we are fine - Amy has another 2 teeth coming through but is becoming a very independant little madam!

Right I am off to the shops before baby yoga and then home for Dave's birthday celebrations! Hope you all have a lovely day!

Sarah: I was sobbing reading your description of the tv show

Mork - Owen's been super unsettled tonight to the point i've actually taken him out of the cot and bf him 3 times already. i think it may be the jabs, though he's calpoled up!

Sarah - that program sounds so sad :( i had a child in my class taken into care on the day before the christmas hols, the police and social workers just came and took him. poor child didnt have a clue what was going on and was so sad!

LC - :grr: to your work for the change in shifts :growlmad: how's the freddo cessation going?

Amy - hope you are OK

frufru - hope you have managed to get some sleep!!!

modo - i still have to post you the breadcrumbs  i keep forgetting to get them out the cupboard and then i go past the post office and remember :dohh: i promise to post them next week when we get back from our weekend up the coast in Spain!

well today i went to help out at the sports day of the school i'll be starting at in september. it was strange being back in teacher mode, especially with kids whose names i don't know! it was nice to do something 'adult' though! the staff were going out for dinner after but i came home as MIL was looking after the kids and TBH i didnt really feel like it anyway!

LC: I can't believe work are doing that too! I know it seems tough but you need to stand up for yourself otherwise they will keep doing this :hugs: :hugs:

Maybe: Don't worry about it :hugs: That's great that you enjoyed being in "adult mode" I think you really need that for your sanity sometimes!

H&F: Hope Dave's birthday was great! I am sure everything is fine since he got his pressies and some attention

Bobby was trying to take some steps last night before bed :happydance: He was launching himself from one part of the couch to the other! He mostly fell but managed to take one step here and there

Hey ladies!

Urgh, I have Steve's bug  I woke up yesterday morning at about 3am feeling really sick, and spent from then until 10am throwing up :( Steve came home from work at 4am and went to bed, and then he got up with Oliver at 8am, and looked after him until my parents came up at 12. They were great and took Oliver out and then brought him back, gave him his tea and even got him ready for bed, I was SO grateful! I ended up going to bed with Oliver at 7pm so we both had 12 hours kip :haha:

I'm still feeling pretty weak but I'm sure I'll be fine soon.

I'm sorry I haven't replied to everyone, I will do later though :hugs:

Hi

Well apparently work can make me do it, a solicitor has looked at so hay ho!! or ho ho! Now I have to slying change my mind and not let them know I've been told they can do it.

Maybe yay to some adult time, glad you enjoyed it, I felt so guilty enjoying work but now I feel happier about it.

Modo - clever Bobby! Will is coming on everyday now he's finally taken the steps, I caught him walking along and drinking his drink today, he looked scarily grown up! Not that he got very far, think it was a step too far x

Sarah - really hope you start feeling better soon hun.

I have been feeling really sick and dizzy today, think I must be tired am definitely not preggers. I am doing my first 4 work days in a row this week, which feels very odd. DH has Will this weekend. I will miss him so badly by the end of it, he was so pleased to see me today, when I collected him from nursery, it was lovely xx

No freddo's yet this week, although I did have a mars bar yesterday - oopsy

hello! sorry for going AWOL - manic couple of days with the course :( I will post properly in a bit, just wanted to send huge :hugs: to emera :hugs: how frightening, I'm so glad you are OK now. Roh is very clever for waking you up

and Sarah - sorry you are poorly now! make sure you take it easy :flower: :hugs:

Thanks ladies :hugs:

Another quick one from me, I'm feeling better but not 100 per cent, but now Oliver is ill :( He started with a temp today and just wanted to sit and be cuddled all day, bless him. He was a bit sick when he had his tea and has had about five naps  He's been quite unsettled since I put him to bed so I've come to bed myself now, I have a huge list of stuff I need to do but it will just have to wait.

I weighed myself today and I lost 3lbs yesterday  it will come right back as soon as I start eating properly again but I never thought I'd see that weight on the scales again :haha:

Hopefully I will post properly in the morning, my plan is to get snuggled on the sofa with Oliver and the netbook and get m shopping ordered and my emails up to date!

Night night everyone, hope you and your babies are all well x

Oh my god I can't believe I've been neglecting this thread.. How are we all? :flow:

LC - well done resisting the freddos

sarah - get well soon!

modo - bobby's version of walking sounds a lot like owen's. he launches himself at me and takes a few steps on the way! :haha: 4 is the record for now. erin was toddling everywhere by his age, though dylan was 13 months before he was steady.

amy - hope all is well with you!

hannah - hello stranger :haha: well not really stranger as we've been keeping up on fb

well we went to Malaga with erin and owen (dylan was at school and then FIL took him to his rugby lesson) and got erin a soft toy ariel from the disney store there as a reward for getting a good report on open day at nursery. she has a soft toy cinderella and has been after ariel for a while (now she wants rapunzel :haha: ) that disney store is the nearest one to us. then we went food shopping and i also got a cover for my macbook and a HDMI adaptor to link up to the TV

tomorrow we're off to Benalmadena til monday so i probably wont have internet access til monday when i get back so i hope you all have a great weekend and i shall catch up with you lovely ladies then :hugs: to you all xxx

Oliver just woke with such. A high temp :( I've given him calpol, I hope it works quickly :(

Oh no Sarah. Hope Oliver is feeling better now :hugs:

Hannah:  Good to hear from you!

Maybe: Sounds like you had a good time

Urgh, we had a crappy night :( Everytime the calpol / neurofen wore off Oliver woke with such a high temp and all upset :( Luckily he settled down again quite well each time and slept okay inbetween, and he's pretty chirpy this morning. I just feel really  and can't face eating anything :dohh: Urgh!!!!!

Hey all -

I am feeling so rubbish and headachey at the moment and I snapped at Amy - I feel like such a bad mum. Just wondered whst buggys everyone has at the moment - I want something thst is lightweight and comfy for Amy as my loola is rubbish.

Sarah: Glad Oliver is feeling a bit better and I hope you get well soon!

H&F: You are not a crap mom :hugs: I have done it as well and I find that it's a good time to put Bobby in his playpen and have a few minutes to calm down. Especially if you are ill :hugs: I haven't been using the iCandy as much these days. I mostly wear him in the baby carrier or use his push-along bike.

I'm having a crappy day

Oliver has been throwing up all day, and his temp still keeps going right up. He just wants to be snuggled up which is fine by me. I've managed to order the shopping to be delivered in the morning so at least that's done.

To make matters worse Steve and I have fallen out, over something really stupid  and I have a wedding tomorrow and my parents have gone on holiday today so Steve is going to watch Oliver while I do the wedding. But I can't risk him letting me down, and I can't fall back on my parents, so I ended up calling my MIL and thank goodness she is going to come over in the morning and watch Oliver if Steve is still in bed or what ever. I still have some stuff to get ready for the wedding but I'll just have to do it tonight when Oliver has gone to bed.

Urgh, I'm sure its all not as bad as it feels right now but I am feeling under the weather anyway, and things are just getting on top of me a bit.
