Moms of April/May/June 2010 babies thread! :)

Thanks for all your comments girls, dont know what I would do without you!! Please be patient with me as i am sure i will be on about it again as the day draws closer!!
Amy, I really feel for you hon - loads of hugs to you!
Maybe and Emera- have the same problem re the flat - although ours has been on the market for months now :( (and we have reduced the price!)grrrrrrrrrrr..
L-C-urrghh no kitchen! Hope it all goes to plan.
xxxx

mork - that's what we're here for :hugs: god knows i rant on about my problems here!!!

Mork - Frustrating about the flat! Fingers crossed it sell soon. The balcony flat in this building was put on the market last week and its already sold at asking price before it even went up on the agents listing  Makes me feel more confident about this place, its a very popular area. To be honest we plan to rent in Devon for a while first any way, so likely we'd just rent this place out, rent down there, and then try and sell this place without there being too much pressure.

Mork I couldn't even think about leaving Oliver  I feel so lucky that I don't have to, and I'm much better now at leaving him for a few hours with either my parents or with my MIL. I still wouldn't feel right leaving him with someone who wasn't family

Emera thats sooo crap about the holiday!! If you had the holiday days booked they cant just change their minds!!! I think I'd be throwing a HUGE strop :haha: Thats great about the other flat selling so fast! You're in a really lovely part of Bristol though arent you? A move to Devon would be soooooo lovely for you! I know 100% what you mean about the family home. This house is too small for that too, I think it is anyway :haha: I think we'll stay here for a few more years though and then hopefully make a big jump to our 'forever' home, rather than move to somewhere bigger but not quite what I want forever, if you know what I mean, and then move again. We'll see though :)

L-C I hope the kitchen gets sorted soon! We thought about putting a new kitchen in but there is nothing wrong with the one thats there, its just not really what I would choose - and I couldn't deal with all the mess!! :haha:

emera - thats just how I feel about this house :hugs: its not really big enough and still needs loads of work but the girls and I love it. The location is great, we're quite rural and it means on a tight budget we can still do things cheaply like get out on our bikes, go for walks etc. The girls begged Kerry to let us stay here as much as I did :haha: thats great about the flat - sounds like you should be OK when it comes to selling

LC - I bet you cant wait for the kitchen to go in! :happydance: I'm still paying for Alex's nursery space on a Weds even though he hasnt been since early June :dohh: I was the same with the girls, I only took them if I had to even though I still had to pay for the space. I totally get what you mean about it feeling wrong to take them when you dont "need" to xx

Mork - :hugs: sounds like you, me and maybe go back to work around the same time so we can support each other through it :hugs: its good to talk about how hard it is, especially to us as we all understand :hugs: sorry your flat has been on the market for ages, some friends of ours in Thanet have been trying to sell for 3 years and some other ex pfizer pals from sandwich who have moved on have had theirs on the market since May with not a single viewing. Hopefully the market will pick up soon :hugs:

I should go to bed but I dont feel tired despite Alex waking at 6am today!

Maybe - lasagne!! lol from scratch, I'm mad, it actually went quite well.

Mork - fingers crossed for something soon.

Sarah - ours was the same we've knocked into the dining room, it'll be fab when it's done but was actually alright before!

Emera - where in Devon?? Near me??

xxxxx

Hope you have all had a good day? We managed some hours on the beach and then had a playdate. Oh and T took her first unaided steps today :) DH is so proud as he was the only one to see it (I am so pleased he got that too as he has felt so sad at missing some of the other firsts).

I have to stop with the crappy eating - i just ate almost a whole pack of chocolate digestives - I have NEVER done that before in my life! I am hoping by publicly announcing this i will be shamed into ditching the sugary treats! bad bad mork! x

Naughty naughty Mork :munch: :haha:

YAY for T's first steps! I bet she comes on leaps and bounds now - Oliver is running now and tried to climb everything he can get to

L-C I love a big kitchen :haha: My friend had hers done, it was lovely but her kitchen in tiny, and right next door to the dining room. When she got a new kitchen I thought she'd knock through but she didn't. Every time I go over there I want to knock the wall down and make it into a lovely big kitchen diner

Well I had a wedding today, well set up for a wedding thats tomorrow actually. The bride was there when we were setting up which I never like, and she thought the teal sashes were the wrong shade :dohh: I thought they were gorgeous and the room looked lovely, I think maybe she was just stressing and been a bit of a bridezilla :haha: I could hardly change them though  She even sent her Dad over (after she's spoken to me) to say that they thought they were 'too blue' but I ended up saying to him I can either contine and put them on, or leave the chairs with covers but no bows, but I can't make the teal less blue! Nothing else was teal either, and it went so nice with the colours that were there. So anyway, I hope they liked it when they saw it all done, but I guess you can't win them all  On a better note, the owner of the venue asked if I'd like to be a recommended supplier as they need a new one for chair covers - so thats really good - and one of the staff was interested in booking me for her wedding because the teal was a perfect match for her bridesmaids

While Dad and I were sorting the wedding out I left Oliver with my mum, at there house since the wedding was over that way, so Mum had an afternoon on her own with Oliver which I think they both really enjoyed. They were for a walk and basically just played a lot :haha:

Right, well I have a bit of work to do now, love to you all! xx

 I like your thinking, dont worry you arent the only one. i have done that before too  tonight I have eaten a massive french baguette with cheese and chilli jam  i feel full up to my throat  well done to T for walking :happydance::happydance:

LC - lasagne from scratch with no kitchen! well done  I keep meaning to say I love your new avatar :cloud9:

I took the children to the beach for a BBQ today which would have been nice except Alex only had an hours nap and boy was he tetchy!!! he's got into a habit of just shouting when he is tired :dohh: and its just eeeeh eeeeh eeeeh noises :dohh:

sarah - she does sound like a bridezilla :growlmad: great news about being the recommended supplier though :happydance: Alex also runs... and trips! :dohh: he hit his nose again yesterday and gave himself a nosebleed - clearly he was going to break it one way or another :dohh:

Thanks Amy, makes me feel slightly better!!!
Sarahwoo-your bridezilla does not sound fun - well played! Great news on the venue signing you up though - well done!!!
L-C - missed the bit about lasagne, but i am impressed you made one with no kitchen!!! :)
xx

Mork - I have a craving for chocolate digestives now :haha:

I'll take em! I have no chocolate in the house, its so depressing  :haha:

come on over - i have a bottle of red needs drinking up too!!! ;)

I have a whole packet of chocolate digestives but I'm craving nutty galaxy and Steve ate it yesterday! :hissy:

I didn't enjoy the whole bridezilla experience. I much prefer it when I just set it all up and they see it when its done. That way they get the full effect and if the shade isn't quite what they were expecting they don't even notice. Brides get way too hung up on things if they think about them too much. I just felt really stuck as I really couldn't do anything! I'm not sure if they will complain after now, I guess I'll just have to wait and see

Something really funny though, when we got home I was telling mum about the whole colour drama and my dad was chipping in with bits of the story, as you do, and he said yeah but what I didn't understand is how they could say that it was too blue when it was exactly the same colour as what they had put on the top table. So I said what was teal on the top table? I didn't see any? He said you know, the little swag thing, it was exactly the same colour! I said erm, yeah, Dad the swag was purple   My dad is completely colour blind  My mum said OMG, you didn't say that to anyone while you were there did you    It must be so wierd to be colour blind, Dad is really bad (as you can tell ) They were once on holiday and decided to do some landscape painting, mum couldn't wait to get back and show everyone my dads pictures because he's painted all the leaves on the trees brown and all the tree trunks green
