Moms of April/May/June 2010 babies thread! :)

Awwww Amy what a horrible day! :grr: to the doctor, what a prat!!! I hope the rash clears up soon and that Alex is okay :hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

Insomnimama Lovely to see you!! Yes we're still going strong with the breastfeeding, I still remember and appreciate the advice you gave me when I was pregnant :hugs: :hugs: Oliver mainly feeds at night now, he can go a full day no probs if we're out / busy and he's distracted. If we're having a lazy day he'd happily sit and feed all day :haha: Oliver is still cosleeping too though I've been thinking about moving him into his own room over the winter, since I'm less busy with work. I'd like to move him straight into his toddler bed though and just skip the cot phase :haha: I'm still thinking about it though, and we'd need to make some pretty big changes to his room first.

Mork good luck with the iCandy! I'm thinking of selling me Apple, its just so big and heavy, I've got used to the light weight pushchair now :haha:

Modo I'm glad you had a good meal in the end :hugs:

Right, we'd better go and have breakfast. We're off to see my SIL in a bit for a cuppa

Aw Amy, hope Alex is on the mend now xxx
Sarahwoo-what stroller do you have?
Insomnimama-I am still bfing too-at least 6 feeds a day at the moment.
What is everyone up to today? We went to playgroup this morning, home now for sleep and a nap and to decide what to do this afternoon! Xx

Amy: that doctor rounds horrible! What id h have to gain by doing that?!!! I would have also asked for further tests.

Sarah: good luck with moving Oliver to a toddler bed. I am also thinking about what to do with Bobby's room in the future. I would like to co-sleep with the baby for a year and we got a second hand cotbed from eBay for 40 pounds. We had to do this as Bobby's cotbed would never fit in our room.

Insomnimama: nice to hear from you  I am hoping to breastfeed this time :)

Mork: good luck with finding a new icandy :hugs:

I'll o my summary of th day when B goes to bed.

Mork its a Ziko Frankie from Mamas and Papas, it doesn't parent face but its so light and fold up lovely and small. Oliver likes to walk quite a lot now, and gets frustrated when I parent face him in the Apple :haha:

Ok Bobby has gone quiet so I can make this post now.

We went to playgroup this morning and Bobby drove me crazy with his obsession of going into the toilets. The problem is the men's bathrooms are lOcked (there is a latch on the door) but the door will open slightly. So B keeps going there and crying when he can't get in. Over and over again : dohh: ignores all the toys, cars everything. I try and distract him by playing and showing him toys but he keeps going back to the stupid toilets :dohh:

He went down for his nap at 12,20pm and fell asleep at 12.45pm. Usually I only let him sleep an hour because I worry he won't sleep at night but I fell asleep myself. Anyway it doesn't seem to have done any harm so far.

In the afternoon the lady I recently hired to help me with him came over (she comes 2 a week) she kept him occupied for a while. It was nice to get a break. They went to the playground at 3.30 for about an hour. So that was pretty much my day. I have been a bit I'll today throwing up a bit more than normal but feel better now.

Ok will try and move the blanket and see if Bobby moves

modo - owen has a toilet obsession too :dohh:

insomnimama - i am also bf still but like mork, owen feeds loads, he wants bf as soon as i walk in from work :haha:

katie -

sarah - sounds like oliver is going to be artistic like you

h&f - hope you had a good night out :D

amy - hope alex is ok! how scary :hugs:

emera - how are you doing?

well disney was great :D the kids loved it. owen loved the fireworks and rides and pretty much everything :haha: dylan fell asleep during the amazing firework display tho! lol! they were setting up for the christmas season so there was fake snow on the last day we were there. erin thought it was real but dylan was a bit put out that it was 'only bubble bath' i am uploading pics on fb now.

insomnimama - :hugs: lovely to hear from you. we're also still BF and I still feed Alex to sleep. My other two self weaned at 9 months :flower:

sarah - Alex hates being in his buggy and always wants to walk :dohh: it makes journeys take so much longer :haha:

mork - hope you had a nice afternoon :hugs:

modo - Stupid toilets :haha: why did they always fixate on things you dont want them too :dohh: Is your helper a "mothers help"? I used to be one of those. I'm glad she gives you a break and sorry to hear you've been sick more today :hugs:

maybe - I love your Disney pics, Erin looks soo cheeky :haha: I cant wait to go now :happydance:

Alex nearly pulled his cannula out this morning, he hates only having one hand :nope: This afternoon we went to the Ward I will be working on next for him to have his IV antibiotics. I didnt tell them who I was, I've only met the Ward manager but they were absolutely lovely and I really liked the ward and the atmosphere there. He has to have another dose tomorrow and then hopefully the cultures will come back negative and he can have his arm back! one bit has really dug into his finger and there's still a lot of old blood all between his fingers. The rash was a lot better today  x

Amy - Glad Alex is on the mend! How scary, and that arse of a doctor! :growlmad: Its good that the atmosphere of the place you'll be working is nice though :)

Maybe - Love the Disney pictures, looks like they all had a fab time

Modo - Gaah it drives me mental when Roh just won't leave something he shouldn't be messing with alone, they get sooo fixated don't they! Hope the extra sickness calms down for you, good to hear you have someone to help out though

Insomnimama - Hi! :hi: Good to hear from you :) We stopped BF at about 11 months when Roh lost interest, mostly i think due to lack of supply because of my stupid working times :dohh: He seems to have a renewed interest in my boobs again now though, mostly he just wants to stick his hand down my top and rummage about, then he pulls his hand out and says "ooooOOoo"

We went and measured up a bed for Roh the other day, its definately nearly time. He's started to try to climb in and out of his cot, and yesterday i popped him in the cot to shut his curtains, and when i turned round he'd put himself to bed :haha: He was all snuggled up with his lambie and dummy and covered in duvet :)

Well i went back to work today, for "light duties" well the person who was supposed to be helping me never turned up :nope: I did what i could, but it was a bit of a nightmare to be honest, and i ended up feeling really stressed. Then at the end of the night i forgot myself and carried a mop and mop bucket up the stairs :dohh: I'm in loads of pain now, bloody idiot :dohh: If the same thing happens tomorrow, then i'll be turning round and coming home!

To top it off, OH is in a really foul mood, i've no clue why, but when i asked him if he could run me a bath he just growled and stomped off

Emera :grr: :grr: to your OH - if you lived closer I'd run you a bath :haha: :hugs: Take it easy tomorrow :hugs: Soooooooo cute about Roh putting himself to bed!! I wish Oliver would do that  We get the hands-down-top-having-a-rummage thing too  Mainly at really unappropriate times :dohh: This morning we went to my SIL's, she was showing me how to make some gorgeous fabric flowers and Oliver got obsessed with posting buttons down my top

Amy great news that the ward is so lovely :hugs:I hope Alex is on top form again soon and that the results come back okay :hugs:

Maybe Disney looks great!

Modo I sooooo want a mothers help - lucky you!!

Well we had a really lovely morning with my SIL, we stayed for lunch and it was so nice and relaxing and we had a lovely chat. Her OH (Steve's brother) is more like Steve than we realised so it was nice to speak to someone else who knows just where I'm coming from

Emera: that is really annoying about work :growlmad: I agree with you I they are like this again go home! Did you talk to your oh? Do you know why he was pissed?

Amy: glad Alex is feeling better :hugs: the lady helping is the aunt of a temp who worked for my mother. She usually works full-time as a nanny but as she is in-between jobs right now she has been working for me. I guess mothers help is a good description. We are aiming to start Bobby in nursery in the new year and thought hiring her would help in the transition.

Maybe: going to look at th pics now.

Sarah: had to giggle at the image of Oliver putting buttons down your top :haha:

Oliver got obsessed with posting buttons down my top

 :haha:  Brilliant :D

Well OH calmed down last night quite quickly, he was just in a piss about a few small things, i basically told him to get over it :haha: He did run be a bath in the end, and then made me a cup of herbal tea, and even washed my hair for me. Bless :)

Ergh, Roh has been doing terrifying poohs for over a week now, i thought it was just teething, but its not really improving so feeling a bit worried there might be something wrong. Even if its nothing serious i REALLY need to find a way to sort it out, because its just gross  We are going through 3 sets of clothes a day, and i'm having to change his sheets twice a day too as every pooh just explodes everywhere  I'm nervous to take him out for long, because if he did one out then it would be complete carnage  Its waaay worse than having a newborn with exploding nappies! I'm seriously considering buying a pack of disposables until this gets better, its horrible having to get it all out of the nappies all the time  Ah well, i've been to the doctors to pick up sample pots, fun fun, pooh scooping! :haha: I'm sort of hoping something comes back, so its treatable, this can't be normal

emera:hugs: be careful mrs :hugs: hope the pain has all gone. glad DH came round in the end. strange about Roh's nappies???

sarah - lovely to hear you've found a kindred spirit in your SIL! :flower:

modo - the helping lady sounds perfect :hugs:

well Kerry set off to get Holly from school earlier and came straight back becasue he saw Max down the road!!! I ran down and just managed to get him. he's thin and petrified and clearly not happy to be here but I was just sobbing to have him home. I'll keep him in for a few weeks to remind him its home here and then if he goes again then he's happier down the road.

Amy: so glad your kitty is back :hugs:

Maybe: I'm lOving the Disney pics!

Trying to sneak out of b's room. I took off my earphones and he moved :haha: doulas partner is coming over tonight as well. Ben may have to entertain her :haha: that will make me very popular

Max is NOT happy, he spat and hissed at his sister Ruby when she went to say hello and growled at me :(

Amy I'm so glad you found Max -naughty boy!! I hope he settles back in okay, cats are so strange sometimes :dohh: Have you got anything nice planned before you start your new job? How is Alex doing?

Emera EEK at the poops! I hope it gets sorted out soon! I would def have the disposables out - you don't want to be messing about with poop esp if it turns out to be something you could catch!

Modo it sounds like Bobby's sleeping is going great!

We had a nice day, the weather was terrible though! So dull and damp and yukky  Oliver and I walked to the sorting office this morning and then Steve was up when we got home so we went to Mothercare to buy pyjamas! Its so strange but Oliver sleeps SO well in PJ's! I bought a few pairs and then worked out than he was sleeping through in them and waking up in his sleepsuits! I think he likes having his feet out. So we now have a huge lovely selection of PJ's, plus some more Christmas pressies :haha: I also bought some fabric for some little Christmas gifts I want to make.

Oliver was 18 months old today, and every day he still gets more wonderful :)
