hey guys. well i got a bit weepy due to being so tired (i hope) and oh took izzy downstairs. i tried to snooze but didn't manage it. am now waiting for the murray match to start. hopefully she'll sleep better tonight. no tennis tomorrow so i can concentrate on sleeping all day, ha.

i didn't know that jamie oliver had a restaurant in leeds sarah. let me know what it's like and if it's insanely expensive

hey! had a lovvvvely time at the safari park! sophie loved it so much, whilst having our picnic she came and hugged both of us and sid it was because we took her there, i could have cried! i think its what she has needed for a bit since harrison was born, it was something we were doing for her. just been looking at the pics we took... omg im a whale!

in regards to the whole letting people get up close to baby's face, i dont feel comfortable with people i dont know well doing it but im fine with my family doing it (mum, sis, aunt and cousin) and of course mark, i have to watch soph sometimes cos she does get too close but usually she is fine and he doesnt mind it, if anything he smiles! lol

Muddles we're going to 'Jamies Italian', Jamie Olivers new resturant in Leeds . . . so its Italian Yummy!!! I know what you mean about people getting in babies face - I'm okay with my and Steve, and my mum, but no one else!!

Ooooh have a great time! I bet it will be lovely and I am not at all jealous...honest I'm not

Sarah I bought some of those pants today... They don't seem to make much difference to my jelly belly, maybe I need to wear two pairs over each other!
Muddles, it annoys me when people do that. I'm fine if it's me or Vinny or my Mum (she's like Daisys third parent because we live with her!), but anyone else it's like.. Get off!
I'm sooo hungry, it was too hot to eat today, but I don't eat after 8 so I don't know what to do! Maybe I'll just go to bed, although V isn't home yet and he still hasn't found my keys so he's locked out.. Think he can fend for himself though and find a way to wake me up

Morning All!

Well last night was nice, I was so glad to get home to Oliver though!!

We didnt eat at Jamie's Ilatian in the end - you can't book a table there and they were queing right down the street! I dont mind waiting for a table in a bar or something but I'm not waiting on the street!! So we went to BiBis instead which was lovely as ever.

Abz it only just recently opened, there is a menu on line and the prices look pretty reasonable. Raymond Blanc's resturant is lovely BTW, we're going to go for lunch one day and take Oliver, its by the canal and you can sit outside

The bad news for the night - I seem to have got fat feet. My Manolo Blanhik shoes no longer fit me. I am gutted!! I put them on as we were leaving so I didnt realise until it was too late to change them . . . my feet are covered in blisters today! I am so gutted, they are the most beautiful shoes. I've only worn them a handful of times, Steve bought them for me in Vegas the day before we got married, with my wedding shoes. And now all I can do is look at them!!

I think I'm going to see if I can get Oliver to take a nap so I can have one!! sooooo tired!!!!!!!!!!!!

The bad news for the night - I seem to have got fat feet. My Manolo Blanhik shoes no longer fit me. I am gutted!! I put them on as we were leaving so I didnt realise until it was too late to change them . . . my feet are covered in blisters today! I am so gutted, they are the most beautiful shoes. I've only worn them a handful of times, Steve bought them for me in Vegas the day before we got married, with my wedding shoes. And now all I can do is look at them!!

il take one for the team and take them off your hands.... to save you from just looking at them of course

could your feet just be slightly swollen from the heat? i know mine do that.

Sarah, mine are the same! I've got a beautiful pair of wedges from Office that I wanted to wear on Friday, and they were just too uncomfy! For me I think it's probably the last of the preeclampsia swelling, but a midwife told me that after she had both her children she went up a shoe size for a couple of months!
Vinny has an interview either tomorrow or the next day for manager of the Candy Bar, yay. I love when he has gay bars!

L-C - Che generally feeds for 20mins now and sometimes will take the other boob. The longest he sleeps is 4hours during the day (quite rare though) and normally 2-3hrs in the night. I have no idea what happens if and when they finally sleep through how they manage it.

Sarahwoo - gutted bout your lovely shoes. I am just so pleased it is the summer and I am living in my flip flops!

Muddles - I know what you mean about other people. My dad and DH keep coming in when Che is asleep/dozing thenn tickling/talking to and when he starts crying they say sorry and walk off!! OMG how many times do they have to do it to learn???? It is driving me mad.

I had a lovely time yesterday at the bbq Che was good as gold and charmed everyone. One lady there had a 6month old and someone asked how old she thought Che was and she said 5months!! Err he is not even 6 weeks yet!!

Then I got myself and Che to sleep when we got back and was woken at 2:30am by DH coming back from night out after forgetting his keys ringing the phone so I could let him in. I was not impressed.!!

CG - i would be soooooooooooo angry about being woken up with the precious little sleep we get

I am sooooooo angry today and for once it has nothing to do with OH or MIL Here goes. I asked my supposedly really good friend I have known since i was 6 to be owen's godmother. she said she was really happy and i had made her day. Then yesterday she decided to cal me and say that she's going on a cruise with her boyfriend (they've not evn been going out a year!) and it clashes with the baptism next saturday!!! I was really angry and upset about how she has not only let me down but my son too! she said that his parents did it as a surprise but i dont believe it, i mean come on, who books a cruise for someone else without even asking them if they are free. oh and i forgot to mention that his parents are neighbours and friends with my parents so i find it very hard to believe that my son's baptism has not even been mentioned in that household. i was fuming last night and was up til 3.30am bending OH's ear. I tell you what with friends like that who bloody needs enemies! there's no way i am rescheduling owen's baptism and even if i had to for another reason i don't want someone who obviously doesn't regard my son's baptism as something special and important to be his godmother. I am going to ask another friend but i'm worried she'll be offended that she wasnt asked first (even though OH and i actually did talk about asking her but i had known my other friend loads longer so decided on her) Am so mad that she has had such total disregard for me and my son. Sorry about having yet another rant girls! you must be so fed up of me

Bobby only has a nappy on. We also have the fan on in the mode where is rotates. Do you think that is ok? I feel nervous about it...

Maybebaby - boo to your friend. My friend asked me to be godmother to her daughter and gave me some possible dates. I wanted to book a hol but I called her first to check if it was likely to be on that date as I would not have gone. I am sure your other friend would understand and be delighted.

Modo - there was a thread I think in babyclub saying in the heat not to point a fan directly at a baby or cool them down with cool flannels as it tricks the baby into thinking they are cool and they shiver to make up more heat and then end up over heating. But I would think that as long as it is not pointing directly at the baby constantly it should be ok? Maybe check with hv?

Well I have just found a load of porn sites on my DH computer - he brought his computer down to the kitchen so he can watch the footie on internet telly. He messed around with it last night and it normally turns straight onto the telly but it did not this morning. So I went onto the internet and the dropdown history shows porn sites he has been looking at. So whilst I have been downstairs breastfeeding OUR baby he is upstairs tossing himself off!!

I am not stupid enough to think that he has not been sorting himself out especially as we have not had sex in ages (he said he felt weird with the baby inside) but
I don't need my face rubbed in it (not literally!) especially as I feel so crap about my body right now. And he won't be looking up www.igetoffonstretchmarks.com will he???

Modo I'm not sure about the poo, it could be because of the weather? TMI but Olivers has been a bit thicker which I thought might be because of the heat?

Katie has Vinny got a new job yet? His old place sounds like a nightmare. Fingers crossed for the gay bar lol! Oh, and well done with the sleep! Sounds like hungy baby might have done the trick!

Well I was so tired last night that Oliver and I had a lovely cooling bath and were in bed for 9pm! He slept through until half twelve which was lovely, then again until just before 4. I think he only woke up then because I'd left the key in the door by accident and woke up to the sound of Steve trying to get it lol! So I think me getting up woke Oliver up. He slept then until about half 5. I feel soooo much better for having had some sleep!!

Its so warm again today, the forcast is for rain tonight and for once it would be nice lol!

Maybebaby I'm gutted for especially at a time you need your friends the most, it's her loss though!!

Katie 10-5:30 really does sound blissful hope it stays that way for you.

CG I had been thinking it would be good for my DH to sort himself out but having read your post I'd be gutted to, especially when time for me is so rare and I have housework to do before making myself look or feel attractive again.

Sarah sounds like Oliver has adopted a similar pattern to Will we were in bed by 9:30 and he slept until just before one and then again at just before 4, he then did half five until about 8 am. I would be a very happy Mummy if this continues, feel much better today for it xx

I feel bad but willing it to get just a bit cooler, the alarm sounded last night again when it got to 27 ! way too hot for babies. Modo I had the fan on for him and he was only in a vest, the fan moves but not directly over him.
