Moms of April/May/June 2010 babies thread! :)

Sarah- it was a nightmare! I'm glad he's left, but also panicking because we're supposed to move next week and don't have the deposit :dohh: I might have to get a loan, gr. Haven't heard more about his job search yet, fingers xd his interview goes well tomorrow because that would be a million tomes better- 10-3 4 nights a week and whatever his deliveries are sounds amazing!
CG :hugs: you have the patience of a saint, I would have ripped your OHs head off by now if I was you xxx

CG - :hugs:

Katie - :dance::happydance::yipee: for sleep!

LC and Sarah -glad your LOs are sleeping better.

Modo - r u bf or ff?

had a rubbish night sleep. owen was snuffling all night and really unsettled. this morning i took advantage of dylan being at school and erin being out with my parents and napped when he did. feel more human but have a messy flat :dohh:

Hi all

Sarah Glad you had a nice meal out. I am even more jealous that you own such gorgeous shoes, even if they don't fit at the moment!

maybebaby that is really bad about your friend. I am sure the other friend you ask instead wont mind at all that she wasn't asked to begin with, sure she will just be honoured to be asked at all.

CG Have you seen the in private browsing advert? Here is a p*ss take of it, perhaps you should mention it to your H so he at least makes some effort to hide the fact he has been watching porn.

modo our bedroom was also 27 which I agree is way too hot! Oliver has been sleeping in a short sleeved vest and nappy (we put him in a 3-6 month size vest as it was really baggy and loose in an effort to keep him cooler). He had no blankets and we had the fan on our side of the room so he would get some benefit of it without it blowing at him or his cot. He slept fine and was actually cooler than when he had a nap on me yesterday afternoon.

Edited as I missed Katie hope Vinnie gets a new job soon. What is the house like you are moving too?

I am really worried today as O has his 8 week check followed by his injections this afternoon. He is so happy at the moment smiling and kind of laughing and blissfully unaware of what is about to happen in an hours time  I think I may cry more than he does.

I found a dress to wear for Oliver's Christening :happydance: and even better than finding it is that I can breastfeed in it as it has a little vest top bit that pulls down, it was reduced to £10 and it does not make me look like a big fat blob! I was so happy i bought one in pink and one in green. This is it, though it is a much darker pink in real life and the green one is a dark green but can't find a picture of it:

We have also booked somewhere for after the Christening- it's the local community centre which has a little room. It has a licensed bar so we just turn up with a cake, buffet and music. It's only £15 an hour to hire it too. We had a BBQ last night as we bought a table and chair set and a BBQ. My H has just finished doing our garden and we now have grass and a washing line. Who would have thought that being able to dry clothes outside would be so exciting? ha ha ha

Have changed my avatar picture to a picture we took yesterday. He is not a big fan on hats so surprised he actually kept this one on for more than a few seconds.

muddles - glad you found an outfit! it is nice! finding clothes to bf in is hard isnt it?

oliver is sooooooooooo cute muddles! love the avatar pic!!!

maybebaby Yes it is really hard as I am still two stone heavier than pre-pregnancy (As I ate like a pig and gained almost 4 stone  ). I have lost 2 stone since having him but am much bigger so not only did I need to find something to accommodate my larger bum and hips but also my giant boobs for feeding! I tried on some truly shocking dresses that made me look even bigger!

Thanks, we think he is really cute but we are very biased  He has little hamster cheeks and has got so long, he keeps trying to lauch himself across my boob when he is feeding as his legs now touch the sofa when i'm feeding. He is so strong and likes to use any surface as a lauch pad to push off with his feet! Didn't realise that babies could do that so young, thought he would be nice and easy to hold until a few months old!

What did your friend say when you asked her to be godmother (the one you are asking in place of the original friend you asked)? The people we have asked have all seemed really happy to be asked. One of my friends were really surprised though not sure why as he is my best male friend and I was even asked to do a speech at his wedding. Bless him. We have two godfathers and two godmothers.

Muddles, he's so cute!! I like the dress too! I'm having a nightmare finding clothes that don't make me look huge too.
The house is just gorgeous, it's the complete opposite of what I was looking for, but it's so fab I couldn't resist when the agent emailed me pictures.. I'm going to have to post pictures when we move
God, I've been tied to the sofa today, Daisy has been so whingy!
I threw away 7 of my anti colic bottles last night as the end of the valves kept coming off, which left me and Daisy soaked every time it happened! I've been using cheapy Mothercare ones that I'd bought in excitement for the day I don't have to clean a million tiny bottle pieces.. She's been terrible with trapped wind though! I'm actually considering buying some Dr Browns but having a steriliser dilemma!

muddles - my other friend was delighted to be asked. my original one has really shown her true colours and not even bothered to contact me and ask me if things are sorted out. talk about being a bad judge of character.

katie - you will have to show us pics of your new house. i wish we could afford a house with a garden but here in gibraltar houses are over £500,000!!!

Katie I hope all goes well with the move! Cant wait to see pics of your new place, are you still close by to your mum? I hope Daisy has settled, Oliver has been a bi of a winge today but i think its because we went out, so he was a bit warm and tired but was too noisy to sleep lol!

Muddles how did Olivers injections go? Oliver has his on Friday, I'm not looking forward to it :( Luckily Steve has a day off so he can come with us. Gorgeous dress by the way, I'm tempted to get one myself lol! And Oliver is absolutely adorable!!!!! Oliverwoo has also become a little wrigglebum when I'm feeding and does the kick your legs on the sofa thing, he loves 'standing; up too, and has started bending his knees to bounce himself up and down, very cute!

CG Sorry to hear about your OH - you are right that they might do these things but we dont need to know about them! My self confidence is so low when it comes to my body atm, I get paranoid sometimes about all the gorgeous girls that Steve sees at work, they all look so thin and pretty. I know thats his type cos that used to be me lol! But in a way it makes me more determind to get my figure back, though sometimes thinking about it just makes me eat chocolate, which doesn't help lol!

On a similar subject do any of you breastfeeding ladies know how many calaries we are soposed to have? Is it okay to have less or does it affect the milk supply?

Steve took me shopping today, I've been a bit down about having no nice clothes that fit - my shorts are all to small and my tops are either no good for feeding in or dont fit over my boobs. The top I wanted to wear on Saturday wouldn't fit over my boobs - I'm normally a 34B and I'm now a 34DD. So we went shopping and I got some lovely stuff for the summer - shorts and tops and stuff, so that really cheered me up. I want to be a yummy mummy not a mess lol! We then went out for lunch and Oliver cried that whole time we were eating, so we just kept passing him back and forth trying to sort him out while the other one ate, I find you just have to laugh and things like that as there is no point getting stressed. Luckily we sat outside and everyone else was inside - so we didn't ruin anyone elses meal lol!

I'm still a bit gutted about my shoes. I've got two pairs of Manolos and I daren't get the other pair out to see if they fit, because if they dont I might actually cry. I hope one day they will fit again, it seems silly to have shoes I cant even wear but I could never sell them. They are so pretty, Steve said he'd put a shelf up for them and get me a display case lol, I think he was just trying to make me feel better! If they don't fit by the time Steve gets his bonus I'm going to get him to buy me some more, or maybe some Jimmy Choos :) I am a shoe addict, and my nice ones I will only wear when I know they wont get dirty or wet - if I was wearing them and it rained I'd go barefoot before I got them wet :)

Well I think I might grab a bowl of cereal before bed, Oliver has finally fallen asleep after been awake nearly all day!!! Maybe that means he'll sleep tonight??????

xx

sarah - your post about shoes made me laugh! i am sure you are not half as fat as you think. i think for bf we are supposed to be having about 2500cals but i'm not 100% sure. i dont think you should decrease your calorie intake too much as that can affect your milk. just try to get the calories from healthy stuff and not from biscuits and icecream like me  need to cut out the rubbish really  hope you get a good nights sleep. owen is still snuffly and wont settle so i have a feeling it is going to be another long night!!!

not much gossip janny! apart from my 'friend' who i wantto murder for agreeing to be godmother to owen and then letting me down a week before coz she wants to go on a cruise! nice! :grr: how's things with you?

You are right, I think it might help if I just quit eating crap lol! I eat far too much rubbish!!

Oooohhhh, I'm just off to bed but Steve has just called from work to tell me that he's bought a chicken coop!! We've been talking about getting chickens for ages and now we've done part of the garden and the fence we have the perfect space . . . one of the guys at Steve's work has chickens so he's been advising lol! So the coop is getting delivered this week, then we can get some chickens! Just two, but how exciting lol!

how exciting! we live in a small flat! chickens sound amazing!

oh and glad i'm not the only one eating crap :haha:

I love chickens!!!! My cousin had some chickens as pets growing up and they were fantastic :happydance: Lucky you! I have 2 cats and 1 dog so no more pets for me!

I have the fan on tonight and its on the rotating mode. Bobby is in a nappy but with a thin blanket. The room is so f**king hot tonight :(

Yeah Sarah, I Google mapped it and it's 0.9 miles away :) I'm pleased, it's right by the Sure Start aswell- if I ever venture there.. The clothes thing, I desperately need some, I refuse to buy a size 12 though  I bought 2 summer dresses (in ASDA of all places!) because I was going to melt, but I'm not buying anything else.
My boobs are still big too, I don't know why because my milk never even came in properly? But I'm a 34D and used to be a 32B.. I want them small again, I hate how men try and look down my top now!
I'm toooo hot. Fingers Xd Oliver sleeps tonight.. I'm hoping Daisy does a repeat of last night, not counting on it though, that'd be far too good to be true!

going to have a bath and take owen in with me. maybe it will calm him down for sleep!

Maria, my fan is permanantly on, mainly because it stops me from listening to Daisy breathing and freaking out if I can't hear her...
