Moms of April/May/June 2010 babies thread! :)

I know Mork! I was massive, no mistaking there was a baby in there!

Someone in my office didn't know she was pregnant until half an hour before her daughter was born!! It's mad, I've grilled her for details....

The rash is still going mork, it's rubbish. Much more commmon in pregnancy than after and so I have no idea how long it'll last.

Maybe, so glad owen is more perky today x

Hi all -

Argh I am in an awful mood today ... the builders have started and I forgot how much of a nightmare it is to have men in the house all the time! They took the huge window out and have put the new one in and he is coming back to start bricking it up tomorrow. I think it will be brill for Amy once its done and I really cant wait to move her now so I can get her all set up! We have ordered her carpet and a new bed and I am hoping to get the carpet in by the 29th of June so we are going to have a busy couple of weeks getting the painting finished and glossing done but fingers crossed Amy can move in by mid July and have 4 weeks settling before LO comes!

How is everyone getting on today? x x x

H&f - I hate having builders in too! We had all our window blinds replaced a couple of weeks ago and they had to cut them to size and did it in my living room :saywhat: there was metal dust everywhere!

Well the builders are already doing my head in ... they basically left our entire back wall open to the elements and unsecure so I barely slept last night. OH has just told me that they will be coming and going all day today as they have two jobs on at the same time which is a complete nightmare as I have loads of shopping to do and Amy hates being stuck in the house all day. Hope your all ok. x x x

H&F that sounds rubbish. We have them in to, luckily they are working outside this time. But Will wants to be out there on the digger the whole time and we keep having massive tantrums when he has to come in, a good 2 or 3 a day, they are exhausting. Also we can't let the dog out there for a pee, which is a right pain. Will be worth it when it's done though xx

L-C - we are having a similar problem with the dog ... he cant go out through the back like he normally does so he is constantly shut downstairs barking at them. On the plus side I finally have a wall .... fortunately before this horrible weather that is due starts! he is actually coming back tomorrow to do some more and will plaster on Monday or Tuesday so we are making positive steps forwards atleast!

Hope your all ok x x x

You girls are brave having dogs! I can barely manage my kids! My sil came round with her boyfriend at 7pm so the kids went wild and bedtime ended up an hour later, at 9, with meltdowns and I am now comatose!

Trust me maybe I'd much rather be without!! He's not aging quick enough....

Well we've been up for two hours. I was feeding Ava at 4 am when Will woke, screaming his head off. Assumed it was teeth and gave him the benefit of the doubt but now wondering if he was having us on and it was an excuse to get out of the room. We've had to put the sun on on the gro clock and let him get up urrrghhhhh

These early starts are a nightmare, he used to be such a good boy, what are we doing wrong?

You're not doing anything wrong! Will knows you're with Ava and is playing up. It's attention seeking. Have you got a glow clock. Admittedly Dylan was a bit older when we tried that but it did work. Or how about a stay in bed sticker chart with a reward at the end of the week if he's stayed in bed? He may still be a bit young for this but it's worth a try.

LC, we had this with Roh, and to an extent still do, he gets up earlier than before. He was wakng in the night and stupidly early and getting upset, which isn't his usual style. Anyway, we got a groclock, which has helped, and I've also moved a few toys into his room, and started to decorate the walls more so he's happier to stay in there if he's awake. Instead of the reward route we have just been putting him back to bed. And then if he gets up again we've been very firm and stern with him. He responds well to that, rather than too much gentleness, harsh as it sounds. Its just his personality. Plus I know that he loves stickers, but he would want all of them right away and would destroy a chart, so I think it would frustrate him. I think its one of those things that will pass if you find the right way to deal with it.
We've also talked about F being sad when she's crying and how she needs mummy's help, and that has helped quite a lot because he doesn't lke anyone to be sad.

Morning all :) off bowing with the kids and my sis. Then we will probably go for lunch with my dad for father's day. Danny has just gone to bed after his night shift so he probably won't come! May come back after lunch and bake him some cupcakes!

25 months of breastfeeding Owen today :) so in total I've breastfed for 4yrs 4months in the last 6 1/2 years!

Something must br wrong with my scales :( Lily gained 4 oz when weighed 5 days after her birth but when I weighed her today (I weighed myself while carrying her then on my own) she had only put on 2oz! I feed her on demand, she poos several times a day and my milk supply is more than it was when she was last weighed. It has to be the scakes right? I keep having to remind my self that she is not Bobby.

Modo, to be honest, scales at home isn't really an accurate way to weigh a baby! ;) can't you take her to the HVs to have her weighed properly? :). I'm sure she's doing fine. Are all the visual signs ok? Looks healthy, got meat on her, looking paler than she was (shows fat layer is coming on) is she satsfied after a feed, content inbetween feeds, looking around and showing alertness when she's awake? If so then I'm sure she's gaining at just the right rate for her ;)

Yay, 2 intentional wees in the potty today! I painteds a skull and crossbones on it so is the pirate potty, much more popular now! ;)

Wow maybe - thats good going, well done :) How old were e and d when they stopped feeding?
Modo-i second what emera said re nappies and babies colour.
Emera-yay for 2 wees!!! What a good idea painting potty, I may have to steal that idea - what paint did you use?
All good here, cant believe i am so close to having my second baby - eeeekkkK!!!
xx
