Moms of April/May/June 2010 babies thread! :)

Mork i just used a bit of emulsion paint as i bought tester pots to do murals on Roh's walls. I'm sure it will rub off, but it has enough plastic in it that it doesn't just wash right off. You could use acrylic paint, i think that would last better. Not sure what you'd need to use to make it totally permenant. Basically i figgured if it comes off, i'll redo it, it took 5 minutes.

Thanks hon :)
Maybe-just read your signature re b'fing so please ignore my now very stupid looking question!!! xxx

Lol mork! In all fairness I just changed my siggy the other day so you probably just didn't see it! That or pregnancy brain :haha:

Emera - Yey for the 2 wees! :happydance:

Hey ladies -

How is everyone? Well it was my birthday yesterday and although I had a really lovely day with family Dave really disappointed me ... he had said he really wanted to treat me so I was really looking forward to it but obviously he wasnt so bothered about spoiling me after all. It really annoyed me as I am literally saving all my money to spend on his 40th birthday and party for next year and I put far more effort into his fathers day than he did on me. Sorry rant over ... it doesnt help that I am completly hormonal and an emotional wreck at the moment!

H&f I'm sorry Dave disappointed you :hugs: it's even worse that he gave you the impression you were going to be spoilt rotten and then didn't bother! Men! :grr: I think that they are just different to us. I love a fuss whereas Dan wouldn't mind if I didn't bother but I do make the effort with him! I think he has finally cottoned on as last bday and Xmas were good but mother's day was crap, got nothing from him, just the kids but mine are old enough (apart from Owen) to do something themselves at school. I really think man are from mars. He probably doesn't even realize you're upset! :dohh:

Maybe - he definately knows I am upset now ... I was fine with him yesterday as I didnt want to spoil the day but I think hormones got the better of me today and we had a rather large argument as I was leaving the house which ended with me in tears and walking out the door ... we have barely spoken since. If he doesnt realise I am upset he really is on another planet!

H&F even the best ones are crap at stuff like that.....they are definitely from another planet!! Mine is so funny he's been great since having Ava, but Will has been waking stupidly early and so we tried to tackle it yesterday morning with the gro clock. He got a right strop on and almost ruined the attempt. I had to get up and step in, which meant I was up from 4:30! Well this morning he went back to work. He got up early to go to the gym, I was so cross, no mention of is it ok for me to leave you even earlier, the gym isn't essential. Bearing in mind I've not been able to go for over two years!! He's missed 3 weeks. Urrgggghhhh.

Thanks to MY efforts the gro clock seems to have worked, Will was sat in his bed pointing to the sun at 6 am - yippeeee!!

It's sunny thank goodness, hope you all have a nice day xx

H+F - Men are so crap at doing "special" :dohh: :hugs:

LC, Roh loves his groclock too ;)

I'm dying, i have gastric flu, i feel absolutely terrible! I'm not sure i've felt this ill for a long time. All i can do with F is just manage to bf her when OH brings her to me, its horrible.

Emera that's rubbish hope you feel better soon xx

Emera - get well soon!

LC - glad the groclock is working :)

H&f - hope Dave makes it up to you!

We had a school outing to a nearby waterpark in spain. Good day put! Was badgered into going on a few slides with the kids on double rubber rings :haha: exhausted now. Owen has had a couple of awful nights being awake half the night. Am going to take him to dr tomorrow as worried that although he finished the antibiotic course that maybe he's not 100% will take Erin and Dylan too as they've both been complaining about their ears.

Maybe it never rains but it pours, hope they are all better soon.

Will woke at 5:15 this morning but stayed put til the sunshine! DH had managed to not set the clock, so I had to go in and discreetly get the sunshine on, what a div x

Emera - hope your feeling better soon.

How is everyone who has two little ones getting on now? It really doesnt seem real still that we are actually going to have another baby in juts a few weeks time! I think my 'nesting' has set in early this time ... I have actually taken more than 20 bags to the tip and I am planning on doing some more clearing today - I am really hoping to get the first coat of white on all of Amy's wood work today as well.

Hope everyone has a lovely day. x x x

We went to see another pre-school / school this morning, it's another independent school but it's much closer to home than the other one we looked at. And now I'm all confused! It's a wonderful school, tiny (10 - 12 children per year!) so it's just like my school was, it's lovely! They have a nursery / preschool too where Oliver can go for his free 5 mornings a week when he's three which is great. But they said he could also do a term or too before he's three for two mornings a week. So he could start in September. It's not expensive, so I don't mind the cost, and he was having a ball while we were there playing with the toys and the other children. I think he'd enjoy it ..... But Is he still a bit young? It's only six hours a week and I know other children do much longer from much younger but I made the choice to be a work from home mum, I only want to send him if I absolutely think it will benefit him. I think it would....but then I think about leaving him and it makes me feel a bit I'll :dohh: Any advice? Xx

Sarah, I bet he'd have a blast to be honest, and it would be good to ease him into it gently by starting with a couple of days a week. Do you go to many groups and activities? You could do those instead if you'd rather not leave him. If he turns out to hate it you could stop and try again the next term if you wanted? X

Sarah - I have been feeling the same way about Amy going to a little pre school here ... its really nice and she seems to have got to that stage where she wants independance from me! A few weeks ago I wouldnt have said she was ready but now I am thinking that she may benefit from 2 mornings a week to do things for herself!

hey guys thought id say hello! been ages since i been here! how is evryone and your lo? 2 already! gone so fast

sarah - owen has been going 2 mornings a week since January. it took him a while to get used to but he loves it. He'll be going 3 mornings come september and then the following september will be doing 5 at the school where dylan and erin go (like erin is doing now)

janny - nice to 'see' you again! hope you're OK! things with me are hectic but fine.
