Moms of April/May/June 2010 babies thread! :)

Mork we're still 'practising' with the potty training. Every now and then Oliver asks to put his pants on so if we're staying in I let him have his pant in and we get the potty out.

Glad you're feeling better Emera!

H&F sorry about missing Thomas land!

Mork, no where near potty trained here! But if he's having nappy off time, he generally uses the potty. Illness has bought everything to a screeching halt though. I'm really just getting him used to the idea at the moment with what I'm doing, not expecting much ;). And who knows how F is 3 months (15 weeks!?!) Already!!?? She's so funny! Really chatty, lots of shouting and shrieking and giggles going on! Grabbing her feet too which is cute, Roh never really did that. Wonder if she'll sit? Roh skipped that too. :haha:

Modo feels pretty constant if you aren't used to it I think the bf. I had in my head that it was going to be harder than it was, so actually it felt ok. It does settle down though, F definitely takes longer gaps now (although still feeds half the night!)

OMG I just looked at Thomas land! It looks amazing! The hotel does themed Thomas rooms too, it looks great!! Pricey though! I think maybe next year :)

Emera F is so cute! Oliver skipped the feet holding too and it's such a super cute thing :haha:

Oliver's latest thing is saying 'I don't like it', it's sooo funny when he says it. He says 'yeah' more now too, which makes a change from 'no'. He talks SO much though, he never stops :haha:

Sarah, Roh never shuts up either! :haha: amuses me how he speaks too, the current one is "yeah, sounds good" which cracks me up! :haha: and if you ask him about his nappy its either silence and running away (poo), or "yeah, smelly poo yuck" or "no no its alright, only wee wee" :haha:
I'm annoyed I've tried to record Thomas which is on Channel 5, but there is something wrong with their programme information because it keeps recording some awful dance number and then half the Thomas episode. I've had to stop because Roh got so upset only seeing the first bit of the episode. :( Annoyng though no other programme has done that. Roh is totally dinosaur and dragon obssessed since they put the anamatronic ones in the zoo. (not dragons, dinos)

Today is the anniversary of my little brother's death. Trying not to think about it really, and worst thing is I've chickened out of calling my Dad :( feel a bit guilty, I should email him maybe. I thnk about him all the time, and I guess I don't really want today to be any different to other days. Its been a tough, and wonderful year.

Sarah - I wouldn't mind the price so much but as I am pregnant I cant do anything there so it would be a waste of money for me to go as I would be standing around all day. We will definately go after the baby is here though! It is really good there.

Emera huge :hugs: gosh it doesn't seem like a year! Send your dad a message, I'm sure he'd appreciate it :hugs:

They are funny with there talking aren't they? If I ask Oliver if he's had a poo he always says no and blames Steve

The Thomas land packages with the hotel look pretty good - you can add another day in too. I think we'll probably do that next year when he's a bit bigger :)

Has anyone been to see the Olympic torch relay yet? It's coming through pontefract on Monday, and goes along the end of the street so I think we'll pop along and wave a flag :haha:

Hugs emera xxx
Sarah - ours comes by in july, providing i'm not in labour we will go along too and wave a flag! x

Sarah, we missed the torch and i think it pretty much came by the front door! :dohh: It was at about 6.30am though!!

mork - we have the potty out and owen uses it occasionally but i am waiting til i finish work for summer before really trying the potty training, though i'd rather not at all yet! Owen keeps asking for pants and potty tho as he sees d and e using the loo and pants!

modo - the bf you describe is completely normal.

emera - girls certainly make their presence known at all times

h&f - i think it's been a good idea to skip thomas land til you can get something more out of it! too much time standing around heavily pregnant is a bit much too!

sarah - owen would love thomas land. where exactly is it? maybe i should make a trip to the uk. danny is adamant that he and i are going to make a getaway early next year for alightning visit to leeds, leaving fri night and returning sunday. shopping frenzy, minus kids of course!

the kids are getting more and more difficult to settle at night. we were at my mum's today but back at 8pm (they had a bath and ate at my parents) but it it 9pm and although they are in bed they are awake and owen is complaining he wants out the cot. any ideas? we have black out blinds so although it's so light still it's not light in their rooms. I need some peace and quiet and not kids asking for water or coming out for silly excuses!

Maybe - I have no advice for getting them to sleep seeing as Amy didnt go to bed until 11pm last night. Everytime we put her down she asked to come out and just wasnt tired so I just brought her back downstairs. We just let her do things when she wants to at the moment as generally she is very good at going to bed at 7 ish!

Hope everyone is ok. I am shattered, still not sleeping at night but going slightly crazy de-cluttering the house. Over 40 black bin bags have gone to the tip now I think. Still my house seems to be full of rubbish!

Hope you're all ok! Will post properly at weekend as very busy and on my phone :hugs: to all xxx

Nice afternoon at the beach, now to get the bags ready for tomorrow as we are going at 10am to try and get a good spot! Sooo tired and sooo much to do!!! Hope you are all well, it's really quiet in here xxx

Maybe, must be so nice to be so near the beach! :)

We are well here! :) Roh is an angel most the time and occasionally a little devil! This week i've sorted out all his toy storage and been working on getting all his arts and craft stuff sorted out. Got him a little water/sand play table which is perfect as its small enough to use inside when the weather is crappy. :) It was only £10 from Wilkinsons and he really likes it! :) Just trying to keep him as busy and occupied as possible, because its when he's bored he's a serious pain! He's doing really well with the potty, and i'm thinking of maybe the week after next settling the week aside and not really going out and doing proper cold turkey on the nappies. Maybe trying night times too to see where we are at, as a few of his nappies have been pretty dry in the mornings recently and then he tells me he's done a wee about 10 minutes after changing him. He's now telling us about doing wees and poos regularly, which is very encouraging. :)
Freyja now weighs a bit over 15lb and is coming on really well. She's got a tooth coming through, although who knows how long it will take to actually cut! She's rolling and never shuts up she's so chatty and smiley, its lovely! :) Her and Roh are so cute together, they were playing peek-a-boo the other day and both giggling away, very sweet! Only downside is that Freyja's sleeping has gone from ok to nightmare and she's up about every 1.5-2 hours once it gets past midnight. I've been trying to go to bed early (like 8pm) but i just can't sleep, and i'm not getting any downtime. I'm not sure what to do about it at all, but i'm knackered! :haha: Hopefully it will just settle down soon.

I'm taking the kids to a mini WOMAD festival at the zoo tomorrow night. Feeling like its a slightly mad thing to do as its from 6-11pm, so not sure how long Roh will last before losing the plot. I'm just going to pack his dummy and teddy though and let him sleep in the buggy if he wants to. Sadly OH couldn't get the night off, so i'm just going with some friends. Hoping the kids behave! :haha:

Emera, my friends LO is a similar age and has just cut a tooth. His sleep did the same and settled almost instantly once it cut through. Hope that's what it is for you.

Hope you have a good time at the zoo and Roh manages ok.

Maybe have a great day at the beach...I'm jealous!

We're good here, I' shattered but it's not as bad as I thought it'd be. Ava is just gorgeous. Will seems to be one extreme to another, think it's a mixture of age and new baby.

LC - glad Ava is being good! Owen is definitely going through the terrible 2's! We have some awful tantrums!

Emera - what's a WOMAD festival?!

Well just preparing the beach bags and we're off. Wish me luck at th beach on my own with the 3! Lol Have a lovely Saturday xxx

Maybe, its an organisation. The initials WOMAD stand for world music and dance. There are acts from all over the world going to be there. I'm looking forwards to the tribal African dance! :)

Hi all -

We are here ... struggling with lack of sleep at the moment as I dont seem to be able to sleep at all at night at the moment. Still going crazy with sorting / organising and tidying and throwing lots of stuff away! Amy's carpet is finally down and her ikea wardrobe is sort of half up! Hopefully once she is in bed tonight I can get a bit more tidying done!

Hope everyone is ok x x x

Emera - sounds great! I'd love that! Have fun!!!

H&f - sounds like you're nesting big time!!!!!

Well we went to the beach at 9.30am and left at 8pm! I bought the kids some fresh fish and chips for dinner and bathed them as soon as we got in and they're flat out now! They haven't stopped all day lol! My back is a bit burnt from so many hours! I'm always plastering the kids in Suncream and forget myself! Waiting for Dan to get back at 10pm with an Indian takeaway! I'm starving!!!

Ok I thought they were all flat out asleep but Dylan is still awake! At 9.45pm!
