Moms of April/May/June 2010 babies thread! :)

Mork as he's my last baby I'm reluctant to stop but also don't want to take him to school in September and have him telling kids how his favorite drink is 'Bo Bo'

Hi girls I'm already thinking about Xmas and apart from Owen who I want to get a micro mini scooter I have no idea what to get the kids. Trouble is they pretty much have everything!!! And it's Erin's bday Saturday, she's getting a new bike, and Dylan's 4wks before Xmas!!! They don't really play much with toys either, they scatter them around and get bored really quickly!!! I don't want to buy stuff just for the sake of it but obviously have to get them something!!! Help!

Maybe I'm the same, Oliver has so many toys already! We might go for a little balance bike or something though he does already have one in the shed from my sister in law. I have no idea what we'll get him :dohh:

We've had a lovely weekend, I'm ready for a nap now though :haha:

Hmmm, perhaps get them some craft stuff (not moon sand lol) as its winter time, or maybe character bedding sets and pjs or plate/cup/cutlery set or something? No idea really! Depends how much you feel you need to spend.

We are getting Roh some Octonauts stuff as he's obsessed, as for Freyja, probably not a lot, maybe a nice Lamaze toy or something or a girly toy as we already have a lot of the baby/toddler toys.

Had my mum here for the weekend and my bro came to visit today. He broke the news that he is probably going to move to San Francisco, I'm conflicted. I'm pleased for him as its a huge step in his career, but gutted as I won't be able to see him and my niece and nephew very often at all, which makes me so sad!

How about something to do Maybe i.e. a zoo pass, a swim pass etc?

Mork we don't have any zoos in gib but maybe something like that in spain though I have a feeling my kids won't appreciate a token on Xmas morning! Think I may get Erin one of these as she loves clothes:

Emera moon sand is the work of the devil!!!! My sister bought it. You can tell that she has no kids!!!

Sarah - a balance bike is a good idea! May look in to that. Though he does have a motorbike and wheelybug!

Hi hope you're all ok! It's super quiet in here these days!!! :hugs: to all xxx

Hey Maybe! How are you?

I hope you're all well!

I've been thinking about Christmas (you ladies are responsible for that :haha:). Oliver really wants a 'Follow Me Thomas' thingy, he saw them in Mothercare ages ago and they were almost £50  so we told him that if he was a good boy Santa would bring him one. Well the things that kid has done to be a good boy, one mention of the 'Thomas Light' and he's an angel  So we'll have to get one of those, but hopefully for less than £50!!! He's also REALLY into Play Doh at the moment so I'm thinking of one of those Play Doh machine thingies, he laughs his head off at the 'Play Doh Doh Doh' advert :haha: So the one that makes the little balls, I don't know what its called, is £15 on Amazon which seems reasonable. Apart from that, I'm thinking more pots of Play Doh, a Thomas watch, and some Thomas socks since he refuses to wear any other socks and would be really excited to see loads (you can get 12 pairs on Amazon for about £14) Thats as far as I've got.

Well my little brain is fried!!!!! I decided to move my website, and today was the big day. I moved everything - domain host, everything, so I was a bit nervous, but it all went great!! (touch wood :haha:). I'm really pleased with the new site, it's taken me a while and still needs some tweeks / stuff adding but overall I'm really pleased! If anyone has time to have a look and let me know what you think it is: www.lovelyweddings.co.uk

Right, I think I'd better get to bed!

xx

Oh, also, I've been making a real effort with my cooking lately and I think I'm doing okay! I have soooooo little confidence at cooking  but I was at a point where I thought if I don't start doing more cooking from scratch etc Oliver is going to a) not have a great diet and b)not try enough new stuff etc. Plus he will quite happily play while I cook now so I have time. So far I've made three different types of pasta sauce - all of which he loved, and I made garlic bread to go with them and he loved that too :) I've also tried making breakfast pancakes twice but neither of those were quite right so I need to keep trying. The pasta sauces had other days / meals in between BTW, not one after the other :haha:

So do any of you have any EASY recipies I could try? Especially ones that are hard to ruin :haha: and ideally vegetarian . . . . I can't cook meat. Well I probably could but I think I need to get some confidence before I attempt that. I'm hopeless!!!

Sarah, I'll try to find a second to check your website out, I always love looking at your pictures on fb! :)

I'll also try to root out some recipes. I have a good one for scotch pancakes which never fails so I'll find that! I'm makng them a couple of times a week at the moment as F loves them.
I've ordered Roh an Octonauts Octopod with a few accessories for Christmas, and I expect we'll get him a few other bits and pieces. I don't want to get too much though as we are definitely going to move in the next few months, so I don't want any extra stuff in the house really!

We are currently in the process of getting the house ready to put on the market, and searching for somewhere to live in Devon. House hunting from a distance is challenging. Excitng though. :). Its just keeping me very busy! I'm also considering finding a job. I don't want to go back to my old job, and OH's work aren't being particularly accommodating so I can't do enough hours unless I get something different. My maternity runs to the end of the year, but my pay runs out in a couple of weeks. We have a good amount saved up, but now I'm thinking it would be better to keep the savings for after we move to sort the new place out.

Bit stressful times!

Maybe, happy birthday to Erin for tomorrow!!! :cake:

Thanks emera! I'm in the process of baking her a pink frosting giant cupcake! Dylan has been helping me and it's now almost midnight and he's fallen asleep on the sofa on my leg whilst I was having a cuppa waiting for the cake to cool! Going to be up til 2am at this rate! Lol! Good luck with the house hunting! Exciting!

Sarah what's a follow me Thomas!? Your website is great :) as for recipes lasagne is a fave of mine. I can message you me recipe, tho I do change it a bit most times if you like!!! Garlic chicken is really good especially with a slow cooker or pressure cooker as the chicken gets really tender! I don't do much veggie apart from hidden veg pasta sauce!

Well we have Erin's party at lunch for all her friends. It's fancy dress and she's tinkerbell :) then in the afternoon my parents and in laws are coming to afternoon tea (hence the giant pink cupcake) hopefully it'll be a nice day :D can't believe she's 5! My little one!!!

Awwww Maybe I hope you have a wonderful day! Happy birthday Erin!!

Follow me Thomas is basically a Thomas, with a torch, and Thomas follows the light from the torch. It has some preset moves too I think. Personally I think it's a bit crap but Oliver is obsessed with it :haha: and if anyone talks to him about Christmas he tells them that Santa is bringing him a 'Thomas light'

Emera exciting stuff re moving!! And to Devon, wow! Make sure your new place can fit us all in for holidays :haha:

Xx

Happy birthday to Erin maybe!
Omg you ladies are so organised for Christmas already-I really need to pull my finger out!!!
All good here, t is a typical two year old and e is starting to really interact now :) still find it hard work but it's starting to fall into place a little more!!
How's everyone else doing?
Xx

Hi all Erin had a great bday! Put a couple of pics from my mobile on fb but still have to put the camera pics up!

Am in a foul mood as have tons of stuff to do for work and I'm still the only one going anything round the house! Cooked a roast and was hoping Dan would clear up but he went to bed at 8.30pm! Am so fed up of doing everything! Place is a tip as I can't keep on top of it all, especially with all the marking and the presentation I have to give at the inservice on Friday!

Thanks mork I'm just super stressed as sooo much to do and not enough time! :(
