Moms of April/May/June 2010 babies thread! :)

Happy birthday Sarah!
Sorry you had a horrible night. Makes me realise how used to broken/no sleep I am, but I remember when you are used to getting a night's sleep how brutal a bad night is. And on your birthday too. :( Big hugs hun :hugs: Hope you have a nice day anyhow. Xxx

Urgh L-C poor you! He hasn't been to sleep yet! I'm only on my second cup of tea so I'm nit doing too bad lol!

Happy birthday Sarah! Hope Oliver sleeps well tonight xxx

Happy birthday Sarah :cake:

Hope all you ladies getting broken sleep get better sleep tonight! Owen is soooo much better sleeping but has a cold at the moment so has been waking and that + rushing to take Erin for her vaccines and then her dance class and then make dinner (they're eating now so I'm posting whilst sat down with a quick cuppa!) then do Dylan's homework with him, bath and bed at 8 for kids. Then clear up and do some washing and ironing and then Dan will prob find me rocking in a corner when he gets in at 10

Maybe I don't know how you do it!!! My bloody washing machine has broken again and the part isn't in stock. I'm enjoying no ironing but really hating watching the washing pile getting bigger by the second!

Sarah.....will didn't nap all day!!!!!! I'm pooooooooped x

LC Oliver napped for about an hour, in his pushchair when we popped out. I haven't napped all day and I cannot believe its only 8.20pm  I've had a lovely day, we didn't do much in the end but it was nice and relaxing :) I can't believe I'm still awake lol!

Hope you had a better nights sleep Sarah. Ava was up for only an hour last night, hopefully even less tonight!

We' ve been doing some gentle sleep training, its helped a lot. F is sleeping much better now. :)
She is sooo close to crawling. I'm betting she's doing it by the end of the week at this rate!

Making spaghetti bolognese for kids tomorrow as going to get my hair done so leaving Dan in charge. I decided just to tell him he had to stay with them. Lol! Simultaneously heating oven for tonight's dinner. Ready for bed already!!!

Hey girls how are you all? I'm exhausted! Work, then food shopping, then took kids to leisure centre and park, then home, sort dinner, bath, reading with Dylan, bed for kids, cook dinner for us, tidy up and now to mark books!!!!! I know it's normal stuff that has to be done but I'm shattered!!!

We are ok here, i'm a bit down. Had to go to my oldest friend's funeral last Friday, can't shake off the sadness. Kids are great though and cheer me up :)

Maybe she had terminal cancer. Very sad. I mostly feel for her girls who are 8 and 10. So tragic for them to be left without a mother so young. Their dad is amazing though. Its really hit me hard though, we've been friends since we were 3 years old. I'll miss her a lot.

Oh Gosh Emera I'm so sorry to hear about your friend! How awfully sad  Sending you some hugs :hugs:

Things are really good here, just busy! But all good :)

Oh no emera that's so awful and her poor kids  thank goodness they have a good dad. Huge :hugs: there have been quite a few people who were at school with me who have passed away over the last few years and its heartbreaking and scary as makes you think that the same could happen to you. I can't imagine not living to see my kids grow up. Death is a really scary topic I prefer not to think about. It scares me too much!

Oh Emera, sorry to hear about your friend xxhugs to youxx
Maybe - you are always so busy, I still don't know how you work full time and be a supermum to your 3 children.
Sarahwoo-you seem to be pretty busy workwise at the moment - judging by pics on fb!
H&F-hows life with 2 treating you?
We are good, E had his 2nd jabs last week and I ended up with mastitis so we had a 'challenging' few days where we were feeling rotten! Still no sign of T potty training - wont even have nappy off time!! Also, do any of you have problems with your 2 year olds running off? T is doing this a lot lately and I am trying to ensure its not a cry for attention, but would appreciate any suggestions on dealing with it as it is scaring me so much.
xx

Just a quick post from me to say :hugs: for you Emera that is so sad about your friend.

 Hi everyone else

Mork Oliver has done it a couple of times - most of the time I make him hold hands etc and he's pretty good but sometimes - usually when Daddy is there (and there for they are messing about :dohh:) he will just take off and run for it. He did it is Asda the other day and again today when we were shopping (and Steve was watching him :dohh:). I think it's just one of 'those' things but I have to say that although I'm pretty laid back I do tell Oliver off when he runs away - I don't shout but I do make sure he absolutely knows that mummy isn't happy and that he absolutely should not do it. I'm not sure if that's the right way to deal with it though?

When he's with me he knows he has to either be in the buggy or walk nicely holding hands - if it's quiet Steve let's him run about a bit, so he gets pretty giddy lol!

Things are starting to quieter down wedding wise, I have two weddings this week, two next and then it's just the odd one over winter. It's nice having a bit of a break and a chance to get other stuff done, but it's not so good knowing my income will be a lot lower over the winter months. Fingers crossed I start getting lots of new bookings in for next year (and deposits!).

Roh used to run off all the time. He did it a few months ago near a road and i was so scared he'd run into the road i grabbed him and smacked him (on the leg) then i went mad at him, then felt terrible as he was so upset, and i hadn't meant to smack him, it was just like an instinct to shock him out of messing around. Anyway i cried at him and said sorry, but i think my whole extreme reaction worked, because he's been alot better since that incident and holds out his hand to me when we go out so we can hold hands. Not my proudest parenting moment, but the shock of it at least had a positive effect.

Mork - we had a very similar situation as Emera with Amy running off and although I hate shouting at her (i went completly nuts because I was so scared of her getting run over etc) she hasnt done it again.

We are all fine ... both girls have colds but I am loving having two! A friend of my mums came over today and did their handprints and footprints on loads of pottery and wouldnt let me give her any money for it ... so that christmas pressies sorted for family!
