Moms of April/May/June 2010 babies thread! :)

Thanks for your replies re running off! I have tried both telling her off, crying and shouting! I am now going for the following closely and distracting method as i am still thinking its attention seeking and she knows she gets a response - but would still welcome input!!!
xx

Mork I was actually thinking about getting Oliver's reins out again and telling him he's a train :haha:

Well I have been thoroughly spoilt for the past few days. Steve bought me two lovely new pairs of jeans yesterday, and then today bought me most if the benefit counter at Debenhams. He also took us out for lunch for two days and it was absolutely lovely :) I feel a bit guilty because he spent more in me than I used to earn working full time for a week but I really love my new jeans and who couldn't love a makeup bag full of new benefit goodies? Bless him :) He knows what I like :haha:

Aw Sarah-lovely to hear you are being so spoilt :)
We use the reigns - but the running off happens when she's not on them I.e when we are in a venue/house or going from the front door to the car! X

Mork Will's not too bad as he's mostly on reigns. We do play stop and go a lot and I think it would help if he did run off though. We just walk along and he shout's stop and go and I hold his hand and he loves it when I do as he says but also means he does it too??

Big hugs emera, her poor girls. Things like that make me feel very uneasy xx

Sarah, new stuff sounds soooooo nice!

Boo to holds H&F, Ava has a stinker, it's horrible xx

Mork. I like LC suggestion. I try to turn things into games like when they don't want to walk and are tired I do 'who's going to get to .... first' but once Owen ran almost onto the road before I could catch him and I had a fit. He goes on the buggy along busy roadsides or holds my hands. No in between now as I can't trust him yet!

Sarah - glad you were spoilt rotten! You deserve it :)

H&f - that was so nice of your mums friend!

I'm going to put kids to bed so will carry on later!

Thank god it's Friday! Have a sinus infection and Owen has decided to start waking every night about 3-5 times. Am shattered!

Oh no maybe - i wonder whats waking owen? Hugs to you! xx

Ugh I know what was waking Owen...........headlice  had to treat him and myself and d and e! And then strip all the beds as he plays on d and e beds too and wash all bedding and towels at 90deg. Still another wash to go in. What a day!

Eek, Maybe, lice! I admit its not something i'm looking forwards to once mine are school age!

Well, we went down to Devon at the weekend and viewed some houses. Really fell in love with one, and have put in a cheeky offer, as its really over our budget. Bit silly really as our place isn't even on the market! Rushing about getting the flat ready for showing now so we can market it asap. Its manic! Bet the offer will be turned down though, shame, but its worth a shot at it! :)

Oh dear Maybe, where did he pick those up from? Urgh, I never had them as child and I'd quite like to be as lucky with Oliver :haha:

Emera how exciting!! Cheeky offers are always worth a shot

I have so many little jobs to do today - post some stuff at the post office, collect a parcel from the sorting office, pay a cheque in, drop some stuff off at the charity shop, and go and pay for my stall at a craft Fayre in November....I'm trying so hard to motivate myself to just go and do it......,

Emera- hope the accept your offer.

Sarah- he's picked them up from nursery. I never had them as a child tho my sister did. I think I've been lucky as the other 2 never had them. Had to treat whole family tho!

ooh maybe - those things freak me out!!! Yuck!
Emera-good luck! xx

:hugs: for you maybe :hugs:

I got quite a lot done today :happydance: dispite the foul weather!!! I confirmed my stall at a craft Fayre so I need to get busy sorting that out, I have a month so that's good :) Also took a new booking for December - yay! It's a good one so that will be helpful for paying for Christmas

I got all excited today about getting some sign writing done on my car. I had done really good quotes and had the design nearly finalised, I was so excited :haha: But I thought I'd better okay it with Steve, since he sometimes takes my car to work and parks it in his parking space. So when we discussed it, we decided its not a good idea :( It would be really obvious that it was his car, and I have to have our address on my website, so it would be too easy for people to find out where he lives etc and its just not worth the risk. Such a shame, but never mind. I was so pleased with the design though, my mum has a freelander too do I might just see if I can put it on her car instead :haha:

Hi ladies! Hope you are all well!

We are good! I have my last two-wedding-weekend for a while this weekend! I still have a fair few bookings over winter - only one in November though. I miss them but I do love been able to do other things, and it's fun getting the enquiries in :) I'm really enjoying making the little Christmassy things for the craft Fayre at the moment :) I would happily sit and sew felt things all day :haha:

We have a little mini break at the end of November too which I'm really looking forward to! We've got a lovely Cabin in the woods booked again, complete with hot tub etc, yay! It's the same place we went to last year, we had such a lovely time :) On the down side Steve found out that his big end of year meeting at head office is while we are away, so on one of the days he will have to leave us there and drive back down to Sheffield :dohh: I know he has to go so I can't complain, we'll just have to make the most of the other days :) Been in the middle of no where on my own with Oliver with no phone signal and no car does freak me out a bit though

Sarahwoo-a cabin in the woods sounds lovely! Shame about dh's meeting, could you not go to Sheffield for the day too? Maybe do some shopping, take Oliver swimming, have some lunch?! Xx

Mork his meeting is 5.30 - 7.30 with dinner after, so Oliver will be off to bed well before he gets home. I think it's about a 2.5 hour drive too :dohh: At least we hadn't bookend somewhere further away - or abroad! :haha:

Ooh, Sarah i remember the place you went last year, it looked so lovely! Bummer about the meeting, but at least its just the one day. You'll just have to have a nice little dinner with Oliver and maybe snuggle up with a duvet on the sofa for some stories or a dvd (if the cabin has a tv) together. I can also recommend popcorn, Roh has just discovered it and thinks its the best thing in the world! :haha:

Oh, the offer on the house was turned down, as expected, we are going to wait a bit and see how it goes, if it goes to someone else then it does, if not then we may repeat our offer in a few weeks if its still on the market. :)
