modo - i'm going to try to hold off testing again until monday which is 10 days after the slip up! i have 3 tests left. 1 morissons own brand (which is the one i did today) and 2 cb.

Hope everyone is ok - quick post from me still not very well.

Amy is now pulling herself up to standing.

Have a lovely day everyone. x

Hi everyone

Amy sorry to hear about yours and your H's jobs. That really sucks, but at least it seems to be making you and him pull together so hopefully this has put things in perspective for him. Hopefully you will find something and so will Kerry so you don't need to move away. Awww Gabriel will get used to being left I am sure, I'm sure I read somewhere that the younger a baby is left the quicker they get used to it.

H&F yay for the dress problem being sorted. That much be such a good feeling losing a load of weight too. Sorry to hear you collapsed, hope you are ok. Hope you and Amy are better soon.

insomnimama sorry to hear you have lost your job too. Hope you find something else.

LC hope you are better soon too. Well done on the weight loss. We got my H this book at Christmas time from Oliver. https://www.amazon.co.uk/My-Daddy-Me-Tina-MacNaughton/dp/1845066197/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1296820343&sr=8-1 Love the pictures from the park. LOVE the picture of him on the slide, so cute.

Frufru  at deforestation. That's a great bargain on the baby carrier and the jumperoo. Cute picture, she looks co cosy and will have had a great view as you walked. Hope Joni and your H feel better soon too.

Modo sorry you are having a hard time with your Mum. Don't let her get you down. Remember you know Bobby much better than her, so don't ket her worry you, you would know if there was a problem with him not meeting milestones. You are a great Mum and have nothing to worry about! Oliver sits but doesn't crawl (he pushes backwards and rolls but that's it) but he sits well and babbles loads. Bobby will do things in his own time, and there will be things he can do that other babies his age can't yet.

Maybebaby 20+ wakings?? You must be in so much need of  How do you manage to keep going? :hugs: Hope you feel better soon too. Hope you can find a way of getting the WW online. Hope you get the result you want on your test.

Sarah I can recommend this buggy https://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=https://static.letsbuyit.com/filer/images/uk/products/original/283/35/micralite-fastfold-superlite-stroller-red-28335585.jpeg&imgrefurl=https://www.letsbuyit.co.uk/product/22222939/baby-gear/micralite-fastfold-winter-warmer-olive&usg=__JcgrsPtnpBp2j2pa9wC_u5oOtDs=&h=200&w=200&sz=21&hl=en&start=0&zoom=1&tbnid=eT2DxL1Dd18x5M:&tbnh=142&tbnw=142&ei=4OVLTdSEFMiAhQe8t6GoDg&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dmicralite%2Bfastfold%2Bred%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26biw%3D1680%26bih%3D870%26tbs%3Disch:1&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=843&vpy=98&dur=514&hovh=160&hovw=160&tx=107&ty=79&oei=4OVLTdSEFMiAhQe8t6GoDg&esq=1&page=1&ndsp=51&ved=1t:429,r:5,s:0 it folds up nice and small and is so light and you can fold it up one handed. We got a cosy toes for it too. Am still going to use the My3 for a while yet, but will use this one too. We do have another one the same which we got cheaply on Ebay. Oliver loves it and now keeps trying to lean to the side in his My3 so he can see around me  Glad Oliver likes the playpen. I have to put a couple of cushions behind Oliver as he has a tendency to chuck himself backwards.

Emera :hugs: for you. Hope things get better for you soon and you don't feel so down. We are here to listen and if we can help, you know we will.

As for myself and Oliver we have had a lazy morning and Oliver is having a long nap right now so thought I'd use it as an excuse to enjoy a cup of coffee and catch up on here with you guys. I emailed a lady from the council about starting a baby and toddler group and she has sent me a lovely message back and has said she would love to meet with me so she can help me do it and discuss my ideas. :happydance: I know it wont make me rich but Oliver and I will be socialising with other Mums and children and I will be using my brain. I also think there is a need for an afternoon group and a Friday morning one, as I have looked at what is on offer in this area and have heard Mums complaining that most are in the mornings and usually during their baby's nap time.

Have a nice day everyone.

frufru - i received the amber anklet for owen today. i have put it on him, his ankles are so fat that it is a but stretched though

muddles well done on the baby and toddler group! are you going back to teaching?

Muddles that's so great about the play group!! You should def do it!

Oliver and I just had lunch, I made the warm apple wedges from the blw book and oliver loved them! They were pretty yummy :haha:

Its still so windy, its just blown the roof of the chicken house and one of them has got out, plus its blown down part of the garden fence so I now have a possible runaway chicken :dohh: luckily my parents are on there way up for the afternoon so dad and I can sort out the chickens while mum looks after Oliver. Bloomin birds!!! :haha:

Hi all -

I am just sat meal planning so far I am up to the 15th of Feb and still going and all I need to buy so far is a chicken to roast and thats not until next weekend. Then we will be back to freezer emptying!

I have also spent the day enquiring about having a creche at the wedding and so far I have a quote for £200 which isnt too bad ... I was wondering if the parents of the babies having childcare would be willing to contribute some money for the childcare and then it wouldnt cost us a lot at all and would allow us to have a meal without all the under 3's! What do you guys think? good idea or bad idea? - if you were going to a wedding would you appreciate childcare to allow you to eat your meal and enjoy the speeches?

Right I will read back and try and catch up with everyone! x

i personally think the creche is a good idea h&f but maybe some people would be put off if you asked them to contribute. i wouldnt mind contributing personally but i know some people who'd probably not want to pay up at someone's wedding or pay and then bitch about having had to pay. i hope you dont take this badly, i'm just trying to give you my opinion :flower: could you foot the bill yourselves?

oh and owen had a long nap this afternoon, more than 1 hour! i wonder if it could possibly be the amber anklet? i had also given him calpol but calpol doesnt usually make him sleep any longer than his 20mins!

We could - its just an additional expense and with how expensive the meals are etc. I think we will probably just pay for it and if anyone wants to contribute they can - the problem is I cant fit all the children into the seating plan and I think they would prefer to play than be stuck at the tables!

h&f - i think you are totally right about the kids wanting to play rather than sit! asking for a voluntary contribution towards the creche sounds like a good plan!

janny - what's up?

Evening all!

Hey Janny! How are you? Jared is sooooo cute! How is he doing?

H&F The creche is a great idea but I agree with Maybe, I would just pay for it. Thats a good price though! How many little ones is it for? The thing with asking people to pay is that a lot of parents would just keep there kids with them sooner than pay if you know what I mean? Where as if its free they are more inclined to use it. And it can be difficult asking for people to contribute unless they offer, IMO either everyone has to pay or no one does, or these things always (in my experience) get messy and lead to bad feelings. Just from my experience though :flower:

Oh, I'm sure you've thought of it too but goody bags for the kids always go down a treat for the times when they might get bored but need to be sat down, with colouring books etc, and am activity table in the drinks reception is always a winner too.

Oliver is awake, back soon! x

Maybe: good luck! I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you :hugs: Woot for the nap! What a great start and hopefully it will improve the night too :)

H&F: Well done Amy! You must be so proud hon :)

Muddles: Sounds like a great idea! I do agree that all the baby activities seem to take place in the morning which are ruled out for us because because Bobby is sleeping then. I would LOVE to take part in all the groups you ladies go to :( I always feel pretty stuck near home. It will be ideal to run your own group and meet lots of different Mums and babies :D

Sarah: Well done! It sounds like you are doing so well with the cooking now :happydance: I really love the blw cook book too! I know how to makes soups now from using the basic components and just varying the ingredients. It so cool :happydance: Sorry to hear about the runaway chicken. Hope you got her back, naughty bird :haha:

h&F: the creche sounds like a great idea  I would be very grateful for it if I was at your wedding. I hope all the parents chips in! I agree that kids will just rather play with each other :)

Janny: Boo to you too! How are you doing? How is Jared doing? Hope everything is going well for you :)

Modo I am feeling sooo much better about cooking now :) It really helps having you ladies on here, I love hearing what you all cook etc, I love all the ideas! I think it helps too that Oliver is a little star and is quite enthusiastic about his food :haha: Its lovely to cook something and then watch him enjoy it. I'm trying different things all the time and each week when I write my shopping list I try to find another dish to try, I buy all the ingredients so then I don't have an excuse not to make it :haha: I'm not sure what I'm going to try next, I try to keep the simple dishes as I tend to prepare and cook them with Oliver in the high chair so I prefer things that are quite quick and not too fiddly :haha:

The baby club I go to is in the middle of nap time too, but it normally just means that Oliver is pretty tired by the end and falls asleep on the way home :haha: Our nap times aren't too structured though so I can get away with it, and if Oliver got really tired I could leave early.

I have so much ironing to do, I think I'm going to go and make a start on it. What a glamorous Friday night eh :haha: Not that I would change it for the world :)

Bobby has refused to sleep anywhere but in his cot since he was 4 months old (he won't even co-sleep!). If I went out with him during his nap time he would just start screaming and would refuse to sleep when we got home :( it's why his naps have to be timed. Oh well I hear the morning nap gets dropped around 9-10 months, not too much longer to go!

Thanks for the advice ladies ... the plan is to ring round the people bringing the under 3's and see whether they would be willing to leave them in a creche! and then hopefully book it next week - I have 3 who definately want the facilities including me leaving Amy there for a couple of hours!!!

We are planning to have a load of toys in the bar area for drinks reception and after the meal!

Have just put Amy down to bed ... later than usual but we went out for a meal and she sat perfectly and was brilliant again!

I love the recipe ideas on here aswell it gives me so much inspiration on what to try Amy with!

Hope your all ok. x x x Dave has just gone to set up to give me a massage! yay!

ooh h&f you are a lucky girl! cant remember the last time i had one of those! probably about 6 years ago :dohh:

Maybe the last time I had a massage that I didn't pay for was about 10 years ago before I met Steve
