and she also watches closely...she knew my family history of diabetes and me having pancreatitis that she sent me after my first prenatal visit at 8 wks for my GTT...at 9 wks I failed my 3 hr GTT, and by week 11 was on insulin injections. Every fri her nurse Marsha called me and got my numbers for the week and within an hr she called me back to tell me to up my dosage, stay the same, etc...I swear, this woman walks on water to me LOL And from day one I made her promise that she would be the one there to deliver Haley, not a fill in or anything like that, by God she made it in the nick of time! They called her at 11:50 pm, I started pushing at 12:04, she came in at 12:10, and bug arrived at 12:26! She kept her promise!! And when I went into preterm labor with bug, I called the hotline number, she called me back within minutes, knew my name and all my info, said she'd call L&D triage to let them know I was coming in...and who did I meet in the parking lot, Carolyn herself! She's a great doctor! Only gripe I had is not enough scans when it seems like every other dr does them soo often (i got them anyway bc my mom works at cabell) but she orders them when she feels neccessary, with me I got one at 18 wks with her, another at 20 to finish all the measurements..but then between 30 and 36 wks (when I delivered) she ordered 4 to check growth and fluid as I was having issues.
