I’ve never tried but I will say I think we dtd every time on ov day and have always had boys, which makes me wonder if we abstained a couple days before ov would we have had a girl..?

What do you have already and what are you hoping for?

in my opinion with the gender thing, any time we only had sex right before ov we got boys, any time we had sex a few days leading up so like 3 2 and 1 day before we got girls (never intentional just happened that way) . i just got confirmed girl this time and i know we dtd every other day then every day once we got the positive opk

@HalfricanMa just a thought I just had but has your doctor said anything about giving you something to make your period return since it's been so long? Or no because your activity breastfeeding. Have you tested again since the other day can't remember when you posted the pos cb test.

She said she’ll instigate the period at the end of the year if it hasnt started. I have tested since but dont want to bother everyone on the thread with it. Like someone has said, it’s been going on all month.

We have 2 girls and 5 consecutive boys so hoping to try and sway for a girl, as will be our last but whether a boy or girl we will be happy, coming off the pill in Jan so not long to wait.

Sorry ladies totally looks like I posted and ran but between school holidays, work and a halloween party it’s taken me this long to read all 19 pages (and believe me I have read every single post!!)
@HalfricanMa what an emotional rollercoaster you’ve had this month! I don’t understand how the urine test can pick up Hcg but the bloods can’t it’s mind boggling!! Hope you get some answers soon!!
@MrsKatie so sorry for your loss hope the TTC gods are kind to you and this is your month!

I’ve retested the last couple of days. This is FMU today. FMU is never my darkest but I do think the test has darkened up. FX.

@xxmyheartxx you sound like me 2 girls 5 boys I went girl (different dad) then boy boy boy I so wanted a girl with oh so we swayed and successfully got girl then boy boy, I would love another girl but I'm not tracking or anything as I say we ntnp, fingers crossed it works for you xx

Hey ladies congratulations to the bfp’s and good luck for November for all still ttc.. this isn’t a ttc post more of a thankyou post.. there were a few ladies that check in on my last thread as I keep mc’ing and didn’t understand why, well I went for tests and turned out I am anemic, have vitamin d and calcium deficiency.. then they requested a stool sample which I couldn’t understand why and now being tested for suspected bowel cancer. Not the outcome I wanted but I have some answers and hoping the tests come back clear. So a big thankyou to the ladies that kept my head during the last month x

Goodness @Mummy23beauts , I am so so sorry to hear this update! I know it's scary but hopefully nothing that's not easily fixed with some supplements. Prayers all is just fine and this helps with ttc!

I considered trying to sway before, but I just got scared that I'd miss our opportunity and rationalized that swaying probably didn't really work This time we didn't try but I'm fairly certain we conceived after dtd on ov day (my best guess at when that would have been, but also confirmed with dating scan).

Sorry hugs.. Hope they find something to help with fixing what you need for ttc. Also pray your test comes out negative for bowel cancer

Hi ladies, long time no chat! My son is now almost 6 months old! Time sure flys by!

Anyway so almost 6 months PP and I already had AF this month three weeks ago, according to my app I should have Oed roughly 5 or 6 days ago. Today I’m spotting like a dull red, we are not currently trying due to having an emergency c section with my LO, so we have been doing the pull out method… I know I know, not the best way to prevent. I’m just worried I may be PG already, with my LO, I spotted and had cramps around this time as well so I’m paranoid now!

Thoughts?

If you think there's a possibility of pregnancy, definitely test in a few days (ideally 10-14 days after sex). I'm trying to think back how regular my periods were after baby (I also got my cycles back somewhat early); I can't remember if they were monthly or more sporadic at first. But yeah you'll definitely want to test and get early care if needed as I imagine you'll need extra monitoring if you're pregnant so soon after a c section. They'll probably want to check your incision site to see how it's healing. It's risky to get pregnant so soon but also it's been done with no issue plenty of times before. I had a very traumatic pregnancy with my second (emergency c section) but was pregnant again about 11 months pp. I had a semi-planed cs with my third and recovery was the easiest yet.

Also I'm currently pregnant with the p/o method after using it exclusively for 13+ years and never getting pregnant unless we tried, so.........................there's always a chance!
