Hi ladies

Back from Rome, it was lovely!

Still nothing.... been taking Vitex and Metformin now for nearly 7 days, the only thing I have noticed is that it has affected my digestive system!!

So... on to CD84 and still no ovulation or AF!

My temps have continued to slowly increase, no idea why!

Realllly confused.

This morning I had a smear test (I asked her about the small lump I could feel on my cervix, she had a look and said it's nothing at all to worry about, phew!).

This morning, my cervix was medium to firm with sticky/creamy CM.

I just checked it, 3 hours after the smear, and the cm is egg white consistency, streaked with blood. There is not much of it. My cervix is still medium/soft.

Could this be the smear causing the bleeding or am I finally getting either ovulation bleeding, or AF??

I think maybe the smear...I know I bleed a little after them...but see if it gets heavier or last more days. Glad your trip was a good time. I see you were on dianette....I was on Diane35 about 4 years ago and its similar to dianette because it has anti-androgen hormones. It took me 6 months to get AF after I stopped that type of pill. I'm really hoping it doesn't take me that long this time because I'm on a lower hormone type pill now. Tri cyclen.

Wanttobeamum, thank you so much.That gives me so much hope that my lack of AF is due to Dianette rather than underlying PCOS getting worse! The doctor said it is likely to be PCOS... but I was so confused because only 8 months before I was having regular periods off the pill, to the day!

Wtbam- Glad you had a good trip! If your temps raise doesn't that mean you may have ovulated? I'm just starting to temp this cycle so i need to figure out what all that means.

Twinkie- I'm only on CD2! So no news for me.. What about you??

CD12 for me, I O'd on CD 14 both of the last 2 cycles, so if that holds for this one, then I should O on Frdiay! Super excited, hoping to start BD'ing daily through the weekend if we can! I really want this to be our month ... (well I've wanted it every month, but I'm not letting anything to chance this cycle!)

I decided not to temp yet, but from what I've learned, you will have a temp rise for at least 3 days following O, so just maybe you did ovulate?! I don't know much about it, but I'm really hoping that maybe you did!! Wouldn't that be wonderful

It would be but I don't think I have, according to CM and CP, and OPK's! But I can live in hope!!!!

Update on my first cycle post-pill: I officially had the weirdest AF ever. It was 48 hours long, only barely more than spotting ever, and dark. I kept waiting for it to come back but nope. Apparently that weird bleeding I had that I thought was pre-AF was my entire AF. In a way though, I guess it's slightly comforting. I figure that means there was no lining to be shed which indicates that, as suspected, my hormones are being screwy post-pill. My body never even got the memo to consider Oing, which makes me feel better than had everything been right and there just was no egg. But still, so weird! I might have even thought it was IB but I never O'd and now my temps are low so I'm calling this a new cycle. My temps are making me happy though because it's just nice to see some consistency after they bounced around so much, especially at the end of last cycle.

Hi ladies! Mind if I join in too? I've been lurking up until today when I found this thread.

I just went off b-yaz after almost 6 years on it. I finished out the pack I was on Feb 15th (although we made the decision to start ttc a few weeks before that so I wasn't as diligent and missed a few pills those last two weeks) I'm on CD 11 now and I think I'm due to O this weekend-ish.

I haven't been temping just monitoring cm, but I'd like to start temping next cycle if this one isn't our lucky one ... I'd just like more data to obsess over lol.

Curiousowl- It's crazy you brought this up because right now I'm on my third period post BCP. They have all been short and light! Maybe one day of heavy bleeding and the rest is spotting.. still will last probably up to 4-5 days with all the spotting. I did some googling and found this happen to lots of women after getting of BCP and you still can ovulate even with a short/light period. Also read your periods can change as you get older and having a light period isn't a bad thing if they are always light.

Would love to hear if any other ladies have had the same thing after coming off of BCP?

That's pretty much what I saw too in my googling I'm not super worried, especially since my cycle was anovulatory. Definitely interested to hear other experiences!

All of my periods since quitting bcp have been relatively light/short, or at least compared to what I'm used to. I get "heavy" bleeding the first day and a half or so (heavy is a bad word cause I know some ladies really do get it heavy, but for me it is heavy, but to help understand, I can still use regular tampons and not need the supers). Then I have two very light days where I could get by with just a panty liner for most of the day if I really wanted to. Last day there is just a little brown spotting but not enough to amount to much more than when I wipe. Sorry if TMI for some, but just wanted to share for those that are just coming off and curious. When I was a teenager I was the lucky 6-7 day periods girl, now it's barely 4 days and I love it!!!!

Funny Twinkie, it's the other way round for me :O I mean my periods were awful pre BCP, 7-8 days heavy painful etc, then on them they were somewhat better, but since stopping they've basically halved of what I had on BCP, 2 light days then 5days of piss annoying spotting, I don't like it it makes me think my lining isn't thick enough since not much is coming out

I actually had a eureka moment this morning when I thought "what if my short LP is due to me releasing immature/bad eggs therefore my corpus luteum is small/bad quality therefore not giving enough progesterone to give me a normal LP?" Looks like I was right ! I'm going to the gyno today and will thoroughly grill him to see if he has any explanation for my wobbly cycles/short LP will share anything that might be useful (if he bothers to help me at all)!

Well I'm having a down day today. Just over a week on Agnus Castus and Metformin, and no change at all. I know I shouldn't expect miracles, but I got my hopes up to expect SOMETHING. The blood I had in my CM yesterday was definitely from the smear, as it has stopped now.

This is so soul destroying!

Nope he told me it's pointless to chart/use OPK's and to just not try till 1 year .... That left me feeling pretty angry!

I'm stopping the fertilitea and trying royal jelly to give me plump juicy eggs then progesterone cream to try and do something to my lp, this is month 7 post bcp so I don't need the "it takes time" speech!

Sorry wtbam, I always feel sad when I see your chart and sig the vitex should be making you ov, what's the metformin for? Hope something happens soon

Metformin is from the doctor because I have PCOS.

As far as I can understand, when you have PCOS you are often insulin resistance, and this has some link to your fertility hormones (I think this is also called metabolic syndrome). Metformin treats this condition, and therefore affects/helps stimulate your fertility hormones.

I don't think I have metabolic syndrome/insulin resistance, but not absolutely sure of that, as I have never had it checked. So if I don't, I don't think Metformin will help, but I'm willing to try anything as I am now 3 months off birth control and nothing has happened!

I had creamy/EWCM CM yesterday (haven't checked this morning as DTD last night and it's pointless as I can never tell the difference between EWCM and sperm (sorry TMI!)..... OPK's are all still negative though.

OPK's are so frustrating! Two today have been slightly darker but no where near positive. They keep doing this to me, I get so excited.... then nothing!

Wtbam. Hang in there! Have you tried not taking all the stuff you're on? Sometimes we are put on meds when we don't really need them.
