Stopping BCP to TTC***Updates & Progress/Noted Changes Since Stopping BCP***24BFPs***

How long do the positive opk's last for? 24 hours? =/ And hey, the internet says the swimmers can last for seven days, right? Maybe? I want to be optimistic, damn it!

Keep us updated, Patience. I will be hopeful for you if it's too hard right now! =)

I'm on.. CD10 I think? I think it's just because I tested later in the morning and had sat there lying in bed for awhile. Normally I check my temp when I wake up around 5:30, and this was like an hour later (sort of was going in and out of sleep). DTD yesterday, hoping I can coax him into it tomorrow and Sunday too just in case!

FX serria!! And I would say 3 days would be more realistic for sperm living in our uterus. It all depends on our CM and their sperm health lol. So many variables!

Patience! How are you doing tonight?? 💚😘 I'm still holding out hope!!

Turtle how about you?

Charmed???

AFM: DH and I BD tonight!! Lol. Now to get him to BD tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday!! I can hope! Lol. I had an almost positive OPK yesterday and didn't take one today BC I forgot. 😕. Will take another in the AM my ovulation tracker says Sunday is my highest fertile Day. But we will see. 😊

The surge that gives you an +opk can be over in a matter of hours, most of the time it'll be a little longer :) but you should only count from the time you see the first +, how long you go on seeing them after that is irrelevant, soon as I get a + I stop :)

Great job on the bd girls! Looks like lots of you are focusing on that little eggy getting jumped this cycle :D

Afm I'm pretty sure whatever it is is over, yesterday am I did a 10miu test which was light but there, yesterday pm I stupidly did a clear blue + test (I think they're 25miu) and it was bfn. Starting to think it is residual hormones and last weekends bleed was the chemical  I'm going to push on till Monday, take that digi and just confirm it, then call the specialist and demand go know it's ok to stop the progesterone. I'll then take next cycle off ttc cuz i don't know if last weekend was af and how messed up this next cycle will be! I've already come to terms with it, this past week hasn't exactly given me much to hope on!

Sending you soooooo much love Patience!!! 😘💗❤💟💚💜

<3 hun! Ofc did a ic tonight and still a faint line, I'm more scared of an ectopic than a MC, my boobs are in agony! I know I'm on progesterone but they never act like this during my 2ww. I'm prepared mentally though!

Well if it helps, I left a cup of pee on the counter for everyone to see lol. Went back into the bathroom and was like "crap" lol

I'm always terrified of leaving poas things around :haha: worst I've done is left my washed pee cup on the side of the sink, hubby wasn't so happy still! Lol

Well ladies, I decided to count Wednesdays opk as positive because it really looked positive which means that I've already O'd which is sad because we only BD on Thursday. I'm going to try to BD tonight and tomorrow just in case, but I'm losing hope about this cycle all together. I don't know when I actually O because I don't temp. I don't temp because it stresses me out. But according to everything on CD 21 when you get a progesterone test done to check Ovulation you're supposed to be on 7DPO but I have 30-32 day cycles which would give me a really long LP..... I'm so confused. Sigh.

Most of the time you'll ov the day after your +opk :) it's icky but checking cm and cp is much more effective than temping, it grossed me out but it works amazingly well!

I'm working on understanding my CP still. And right now I can't tell if my cm is actually egg white or left over sperm from Thurs. Lol.

Haha i always figure the day after bd I don't check cm, after that I'm good to go :) there's a big difference between firm and soft cp, hard is like the rip of your nose, soft is like your lips :) for position I say high is finger all the way in, medium is to the first knuckle :haha:

It's very stupid that they do the 21day test, I used to ov cd21-23!

I could never use cp, it never seemed to be in the right place at the right time & for some reason, stayed high after O. It was usually high when AF came :haha: I wonder if youve not Od yet, Charlie? I would normally O on CD23/24 so those tests aren't accurate for me. Lol. I found temping really stressful too, I ended up taking some time off it & then only doing it roughly so I knew if I'd ovulated. :)

Patience, I noticed you took away your ticker. I'm so sorry gun :( I was really hoping this was your sticky bean xxx

My tests have either been neg or faint the past days, I'm just hoping it was or will be a MC, and not ectopic :( gotta continue till Monday then see if I can stop the progesterone and visit the specialist when I was gonna have my 6w visit!

Patience, I'm so sorry. :hugs: Since you're still getting faint lines, I'm still holding out hope for you...but I know at this point they should be getting darker. Ugh, I just wish this process was easier!!! I really hope the dr's able to give you some answers on Monday when you call. :hugs:

Charlie and Charmed, I can't seem to figure out cp very well either! And I've never been able to tell open or closed. I just don't get it. I do a little bit better with cm but not great. Sigh. And I agree with Patience, I don't usually even bother to check cm the day after bd, because trying to distinguish between that and leftover sperm is near impossible for me.

Charlie, I'm sorry that you're thinking you might have missed O. But I do agree that maybe you just haven't actually yet? Aren't you usually a later O anyways? Those 21 day tests kinda suck. They seem to be geared towards women with a "normal" 28 day cycle, but if you O later (like a lot of women seem to) then how are they supposed to work for you?? Ugh.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend so far!

i have stopped freaking out a little i took another opk today and the test line is darker than the control line so i am thinking that i am on track and if we bd tonight and tomorrow we will be covered. i hope lol. but i do get good progesterone levels on my blood tests stating that i did ovulate which i why i was starting to freak out. because if i do O today or tomorrow then that means i will only be a few days past O for the test. its so freaking confusing.

Patience, i'm praying for some answers & peace for you!!

That sounds great Charlie :) if it's been a while since your last opk bear in mind when it could have gone +, but either today or tomorrow sounds like ov day! Good luck! :happydance:

I'll be ok as long as it's not ectopic, I've finally stopped spotting and am tired of having agonising boobs for nothing! I really want to stop the progesterone and try to reclaim my cycle but feel I need to speak to the Dr on Monday. I'm sure I'll be lucky to get through to her though, couldn't last time!

I've realised just how depressed I've been lately, gained so much weight and my just generally miserable from the weight of all the ttc troubles, a regular af cycle is more of a relief compared to all this! I've decided I must focus on losing weight, fixing my job stress which is also ruining me, then focus on ttc! I'll keep up with the specialist though :)

BC for 13 years... Tetracycline, NuvaRing, and patch during my younger years. Low-ogestrel for past 8 years. Stopped taking BCP in September 2014 while on our honeymoon. Have had very irregular periods since - 33-42 days. First 3 cycles, had positive OPK on cycle days 12-14. Last cycle, took OPK twice daily from CD10-CD17 and all negative so gave up. Had EWCM on CD 15 though? Unable to temp because I work as a labor nurse on night shift so unable to temp at same time every day. AF came on 2/26, so hoping this is the cycle!! Also was diagnosed with endometriosis at 15 years old but have not had laprascopic surgery since then. Hoping it does not affect our TTC.

Hey girls, sorry I was MIA. My appointment didn't go well and I needed time off.
I have an HSG tuesday, and will discuss next steps with my doctor at that point, like if we switch to clomid, or higher dose of femara, or injectables...sigh

I see you're ticker is down Patience, I'm very sorry. I hope you get your cycles back on track soon

Sorry I didn't read everything, I hope you're all doing well ladies xxx

I'm ok <3 going to assume the heavy spotting on Saturday was cd1 and go from there, this cycle won't make any sense. Just gonna keep an eye out for abdominal pain just in case!

Welcome LnD! Will you have to wait to September to get checked up for ttc? I've had irregular cycles also, ov anything between cd14-23! If your cycles are long chances are your ov happens later, as luteal phase generally doesn't go over 14days but ov can be early or late!

Sorry to hear Danna :hugs: :( hsg is a great tool, even if you don't have any issues in there it's meant to help people be more fertile from the clean out! :) they're being proactive, even though it sucks that it's not working they'll keep at it till they find something that works for you, chin up <3

Thanks for the welcome patience.

I'm a labor and delivery nurse and my obgyn is a dr at my hospital. He's agreed to see me anytime I feel like I need to be seen. (I think he's just as excited about me TTC as I am haha). My Husband and I have decided to wait until after vacations are over in April. If no BFP by then, will make appt for labs etc.
