Stopping BCP to TTC***Updates & Progress/Noted Changes Since Stopping BCP***24BFPs***

I'm looking at my symptom charts and trying to make sure I'm looking at temperatures at the same times... For example, yesterday I temped at 6:30ish and was 97.1. Today, I temped at 5:30 when I first woke up (that's when it said 96 degrees--right), then at 6:00 (97.2) and then at 6:30 (when I'd made a point not to move or open my mouth for like half an hour), and it was 97.7, so... Hopefully it's somewhat accurate, because that's a jump. I'll make a point to check it at the SAME time tomorrow to see if it stays up. Blah. I don't think my husband could handle the idea of the other method--he thinks it's weird enough that I'm even charting, lol. He wants to just see what happens, so.. meh. We'll see. You've been through a LOT Danna, that probably seems like nothing at all to you! =)

IF my chart is somewhat accurate (unlikely), then it's sort of suggesting that I ovulated yesterday (the cramps I was feeling have since stopped, so maybe I did?), which was day fourteen, so that would make sense. Here's to hoping I actually ovulated this month (#1 off bcp). Did the BD on Saturday the 28th and last night, so... who knows. We'll see.

Charmed, that's so exciting! I never realized how common bleeding was early on in pregnancy--you'd think they'd mention that in sex ed, but nope. Just finding out about that now! I'm on fitbit too, same username (sierraecho89), but I can't seem to find people. I fail at technology!

Sierra, I hear ya...my DH would think I was crazy if I started temping vaginally too! :haha: I've noticed that the temps you're stating are all only to the tenth of a decimal point...are you using a normal thermometer, or a basal body thermometer? If just a regular one, I would suggest getting a bbt one that temps to the hundredth. That makes it be more accurate and can show more of a shift, especially when it's just a slight one. :)

I second what turtle said. Make sure you're using a BBT. They're kind of hard to find. I found mine with the baby medicine.

Glad my hubby isn't the only one!

Just a normal one. It fluctuates enough with just the one decimal point! lol I think even more numbers would just stress me out. That's why I teach Language Arts--I am NOT a math person! lol

Hopefully I o'ed. No reason to think I wouldn't, especially with having generally normal cycles, but blargh. Would have been nice to not have screwed that up so royally, right?

Unfortunately you won't get an accurate enough temp with a normal one, so if you want to be able to chart you need a BBT.

As I always tell people.... Read Taking Charge of Your Fertility. It'll help you a ton :)

Sorry Sierra, gotta agree with MrsH on this one! :) The difference of say 97.71 vs 97.79 can show a shift in your temp enough to know if you O'd or not. I strongly suggest getting one. :) good luck, I hope things start to make some sense soon! Or better yet, I hope you caught it this time and don't even have to worry about it again!

Yes, FX that I don't have to worry about it! LoL I'm too darned impatient with everything.

And I've got a few more days before I can start symptom-spotting really, so.. guess we'll see. =) Thanks to you both!

Good evening ladies!! I apologize in advance, I read what y'all have been chatting about but I have no advice lol.

AFM: got my blood drawn today to test for progesterone. FX it shows I ovulated! 😊 now to wait... I'm about 4dpo I think. Lol.

Patience how was the gym?

Wow Charlie they noticed that at only 4dpo? That's brilliant! Hurray! :happydance:

I hope you did ov Sierra :) I need me a proper BBT too, mine is only 3 digit I need 4 (lost mine somewhere, it may be inside the bed lol) and in Celsius that's really inaccurate!

I'm super glad your bean is doing well Charmed :flower:

Gym.....i was out the door before I realised I didn't have my trainers..... Turned the house upside down looking for them, nowhere to be seen :( I don't normally go to classes the need shoes so I haven't used them in 6weeks! Signed up for this evening and will have to pull a 3 in a row until Friday since we're off somewhere for my birthday :)

Good morning, ladies! Charlie, I hope you get some good news back from your labs! I really hope they're able to tell whether you not you did, with it being so soon after O. If they end up saying you haven't yet, will you mention to them that it's only been a few days since O to see if there's a possibility that your results are skewed? Let us know what you find out, I'm anxious and hopeful for you! :flower:

Patience, sorry about your gym shoes! That's exciting that you guys are going somewhere fun for your birthday! Yay! What are you guys planning on doing, and when is your birthday? I love birthdays! :D

Afm, I had an appt yesterday with the OBGYN for my normal pap. I told her I'll ask the RE this too when I see her, but asked what a combination of high FSH with normal AMH means, since I can't seem to find anything on that anywhere. She said they really only use AMH as an indicator of how well you'll respond to ovulation stimulating hormones. So I do still have a diminished ovarian reserve (based on my high FSH numbers), but I am likely to respond well to meds based on my normal AMH levels. I suppose that's good in a sense, but I had been hoping the normal AMH had meant my numbers weren't really diminished after all! I did mention to her though that if it came down to IVF we might not go that route and might look into adoption instead. I'm glad I did, as that made her open up to me about her personal life some that she adopted her daughter 2 1/2 years ago. We had a really good conversation about it, and we ended the appt with her telling me if we do go that route, to feel free to call her with any questions or advice needed and she'd be happy to help. That made me happy! :)

Hello ladies! It feels good to not be checking for ovulation for a while, the break is welcomed.

I'm getting my AMH tested CD3, whenever that is, and since I didn't respond to femara I'm kind of worried there... BUT, it also got me thinking that I was lucky enough to have access to free IVF (until the law changes sometimes this year, but even if it does change it will still be cheap), and while I hope I don't have to get there, it will be available to me with a good chance of success, and fast as it seejms my doctor doesn't wait around much. Anyways, just trying to think positive here :'/

Also I was looking at all the tests my clinic offers, and there's a bunch of tests labelled "chemical pregnancy" which sadly made me think of you Patience... I was wondering if you went through all those tests or if there might be some stuff they haven't tested you for yet? In which case you could ask for them?

Now it's in french, but google should translate:
Anticorps Anticardiolipines
Anticoagulant Lupique
Anti b2Glycoprotéine
Glycémie à jeûn
TSH
Anti Transglutaminase
Caryotype

I just wish someone can help you : (

Glad you're enjoying a break danna! Sounds neat on how cheap IVF is there too.

I agree, Danna, I'm glad you're able to relax now from the pressures, and not be looking for O! :) I'm surprised they're making you wait until cd3 for the AMH testing, my doctor said when I had mine done (and everything I've found online says the same) that that is one they can do anytime during your cycle. I know FSH needs to be done around cd3, but AMH should be able to be done at any point. Interesting! I do hope you get some good results back from that!!! :) And I'm so excited for you that IVF is free (if that's the route you end up having to go), that's amazing!

Thanks ladies!
Ah yes Turtle, but AMH is part of the testing "package" of CD3, with FSH and others, hence why I'll do it then.

Oh, gotcha! I wish my dr's office had done it that way too...I had 7 vials (yes, SEVEN!) drawn on cd3, which included fsh among many others. But it didn't include amh, and when my fsh levels were high I had to go back again to have amh done. It would have made more sense to me to just do it on cd3 with the rest! I do hope you get great results! :flower:

Turtle that does sound promising :) i think the important part is indeed that you'll respond well to medication to help get that BFP ! That's sweet about the adopting thing, i'm glad you were able to chat to her about it :) my friend has just adopted a toddler, I think it's the most amazing thing in the world and huge respect to people who adopt but I don't think I could ever do it ! Looking forward to seeing what their next step is for you :)

Danna, i'd jump on whatever they give you :haha: i'd leap on IVF if i thought it'd help ! I can barely keep my eyes open but i will look at those translates tomorrow :) all i've had done was some glucose tests, something about blood coagulation, progesterone (taken at around cd5 because "you can test for it at any point in your cycle but preferably right after AF" *internal screaming*) kinda moot now when i have the prescription but i'll be pushing for a better dose ! and thyroid, nothing much for ttc, i had slightly low vitamin D, big woop but i have vitamins for that now. Snore.

I have no idea what they can help me with ! The only thing I can think of is that i need estrogen to plump my lining before ov, thing is even with varying thin linings i would think ONE out of bloody seven eggs could have held on, i've only had it checked twice but even an average of 8mm is the min.requirement for IVF, so i'm starting to doubt that one. The only other thing I can think of is i have some violent immune reaction to implantation, i know bodies are naturally designed to fight pregnancy as some kinda invasion but it feels like my eggs grab hold and my body goes AHWEIOAHIU%Q"%)(AFSNKF!!! and kicks them out :/ or perhaps me and the bean have different blood types which can cause the body to abort it, a friend of OHs had that and needed injections through her entire pregnancy to stop her body rejecting the baby, so along the same lines. One more week till I find out what we will try next !

It's my birthday sunday :) turning 29, very unimpressed ! When we were WTT in 2013 hubby sweetly and now naively said he promised we'd have a bun in my oven before i turned 28, so turning 28 without was bad enough, now i'm 1year to 30 and will be a miracle if i can pop one out before my 30th at this rate ! I'm not sure where we're going but i requested a weekend hotel getaway so i think it's exactly that :)

I got to the gym today :happydance: i also found a new scheme of paying myself to gym :haha: every class i attend i'll give myself X amount into a pot, extra incentive to gym, the more i do the more i get to spend :) the only perk of not having a BFP yet is a disposable income, i'd take a baby anyday but i have to try and make the most of things!

Turtle great news! Sorry not as great of news as you wanted though!

Patience, I turned 29 in January, so I totally understand!

Danna! So glad you're feeling less pressure!!

AFM: I'm praying I get good results from my labs. I will ask about being on such an early DPO if it comes back negative.

Right now I'm just waiting until AF is due.

So I just googled and it looks like I should still show I ovulated even though I was only a few days after ovulation. Starting the first day after O you're levels should be at least 3 then continue to rise each day until your peak progesterone which is usually 20 or so. So I should be good. 😊

Patience and Charlie, thanks! That is indeed good news that I should respond well, and honestly I'm just glad to understand now what that combination means.

Patience, I totally understand the not being able to adopt thing. I think it's completely a personal decision and one that each person has to make for themselves; there's no right or wrong answer to that at all! I love that your hubby is taking you away for your birthday! That's so sweet! I honestly think I had a harder time turning 29 than I did 30 (although I think I had the hardest time with turning 25...mostly because my mom kept saying I was now a quarter of a century old!). We didn't start trying until we turned 33 (well the day before my 33rd birthday in fact!) so the age thing hasn't been too much of a factor for me yet, but I also am quite aware that the longer it takes us, the more we seem to be running out of time. I really hope you have a great time away for your birthday! <3

Charlie, that's great news! So glad to hear that. When should you get the results back?

How's everyone else doing? :)

Hi ladies, I'm not sure if any of you know this and i hope it's ok to post...Twinkie had her baby girl yesterday. She posted a picture in her journal if anyone would like to see.
