I'm almost more confused now than before, tests are darker, but bleeding what I would consider to be a lot for early pregnancy bleeding. I guess I just have to keep waiting, I'd be more hopeful of the temp spike today if it wasn't for the awful cramps I've been having all morning so far

Well personally the cramps wouldn't worry me (I had bad cramps from about 5DPO onwards, and they are only just getting milder now at 8 weeks pregnant!)... but the blood would...... at best it could be implantation bleeding though - so I guess just bide your time. How many digitals/FRER's do you have left?

No digis, one FRER, but going to pick up some more this afternoon when I'm out for work. Will test tonight to see if my evening urine tests better (I know that's the case for some women and I know for certain last nights FRER and IC were darker than this mornings, although not by much-won't test if I can't get a good hold though) and test in the AM before making any decisions.

DH and I agreed, if tests get darker, I'll be going to the dr first thing tomorrow morning, if lighter, we know nature is just taking it's course, so until tomorrow I'll just be impatiently waiting.

Sorry you're confused Twinkie! THere are plenty of stories of women who have had their period and still have been pregnant. I would do the same thing that you are- continue to test to see if the lines get darker/lighter. FX for you!!!

Hugs, my lovely. I hate waiting too but I am praying it all works out for the best. I am not very very religious but I'd like to add that things happen in God's perfect timing. Baby dust to you and I'll include you in my prayers! I agree with the other ladies here to continue testing and fx for a much darker line!

Btw, I have been on Althea ocp for 1year and 4months, stopped after finishing the pack mid February this year. Although I am quite lucky to not have any withdrawal bleeds after stopping bcp, and I had pretty normal cycles after, (March length is 26days then April length is CD28days <-- my normal cycle length) I am still quite worried if I am now ovulating.
Dh bought me OPKs, I'll test on CD 12 or 13, hihi. This is now our third month of TTC after BCP.

Noob question, my ladies.. How do you know you O without temping or using OPKs??

Sprry, but to add to that... I'm not sure I am ovulating because I haven't had any real EWCM yet after BCP even if my cycles seem normal. I have loads of milky and wet cm (sorry, TMI) but no real EWCM. I read somewhere you could still get pg without presence of EWCM.

Any of you my ladies experience this?

It could be that your body takes some time to get back into producing EWCM - i've read that on here, that some women take a couple of cycles. When I got my BFP I had a little ewcm, but not as much as I expected, although it was the first ovulation for a LONG time (PCOS).

Personally I wouldn't assume you are going to O on a certain few days .... OPK's are so cheap I would do them for quite a few more days around your "expected" dates.

Little update from me, after coming off the Progesterone tablets the sunday before last (and having some scary bleeding a few days after) I had a final blood test yesterday, the results came back today as 51 (which from what I can see is a really good number for 8 weeks pregnant). Happy days!

I never get ewcm unless I'm taking evening primrose oil (puke) (except this chemical cycle of weird where I got flooded)

Welcome Iamamermaid I don't think everybody gets ewcm, some people feel cramps. A good way to tell if you've ovulated is to temp. However it only tells you that you've ovulated after the fact...

I'm Jess, i've got a little boy who will be 3 next week who was a rainbow baby after a previous ectopic in 2010 which resulted in me losing a tube...

I'm currently on microgynon 30 and will be coming off this next month with the aim off ttc....I'm hoping it'll happen quickly but between the pill and only having one tube I know I could be in for a long wait....

Fingers crossed i'll return to my old 28 day cycle soon enough after coming of the bcp

I actually had a little bit of ewcm during 2nd cycle off bcp but it happened 2days after my supposed O (I'm just using an android app), haha! Either I ovulated late or My ewcm just decided to show up that day. Bummer.

I'm sorry, I post on a few threads and I forget where I say what, plus I'm super out of it today.

I'm attaching pics of todays smu with yesterdays fmu (1st pic) vs todays fmu with yesterdays fmu (2nd pic-hopefully that makes sense!) SMU looks better than FMU, at least in my opinion, what do you ladies think?

Dr appt isn't til this afternoon, have about 2.5 more hours before my appt

I'm not TTC until August, *but* I was on BCP from 2005 until the beginning of this year (I started my first cycle without the pill on January 1st- worked out perfectly!). I hope it's okay to comment here & follow along with you ladies I just want to see what I'm in for when we do start TTC and share my own experiences.

Like I said, I started my first cycle off of the pill in January. I do have a cycle every month & ovulate every month... and for that I am very very thankful. BUT I am definitely not regular. Here's what my cycles have looked like so far:

Cycle 1: 31 days long, O on CD18
Cycle 2: 45 days long, O on CD23
Cycle 3: 30 days long, O on CD16
Cycle 4: in progress. Currently on CD23 and still haven't officially O'd (according to FF, because I haven't had the rise for 3+ days- but I'm pretty positive I O'd yesterday).

As you can see, I'm kind of all over the place. Even my LP isn't consistent :/ I'm hoping it straightens out a little more before August to take some of the guesswork out of timing.

Stella- Maybe your 2nd cycle was just a weird one and this time will be back to around 30 days, are you temping or using opks for ovulation?

Twinkie- I hope your appointment goes well! FX for you still.
Are you still bleeding or has it stopped?
Have you had any weird symptoms this time around?

Hi Stella! I wish I was smart like you, I never dreamt coming off bcp could make ttc difficult! My lp ranges from 9-11 days even after 8 months off bcp, my ov is all over the joint but naturally it seems around cd23. You're welcome to our little house of horrors and hopefully you'll be all smooth sailing by the time you get to ttc

Welcome Jess! Woohoo coming off bcp for ttc is the best feeling soon you'll be throwing out that pack are you going to chart or OPK's or go with the flow?

Iamamermaid, I don't think it's possible to get fertile cm straight after ov, I know it can happen just before af so I imagine you're not a totally "regular" cycle kinda gal, don't worry not so many people around here are hopefully the OPK's will shed some light for you!

Hi thanks :wave: i know i cant wait to come off the bcp, so excited for ttc #2!!

I'm just going to go with the flow, my OH works away and is away for 3 weeks a month so its just going to be more of a when it happens kind of thing, hoping that coming off bcp next month I may hopefully resume normal cycle soon enough for our 2 week holiday in July, so we can catch that egg!!

Hi ladies, so got back from the dr's a little bit ago. Not good news, hcg was only at 11 so it's a miscarriage

We discussed this cycle and the last with the possible chemical. Dr was really good and because it's suspected 2 in a row, he wants to start doing tests to rule out issues right away, but wants us to wait a cycle with no trying from now til testing. He's concerned about being unlucky enough to have 3 in a row and really wants to do a u/s to see what my uterus looks like and apparently the second you are pregnant it starts to change which is why we have to wait a month to see. Really not sure how I feel about this. I don't want to take a whole cycle off, but I also don't want a 3rd loss. I'm so emotionally drained right now, I know you were all waiting for an update, so there it was and I apologize in advance because I'm going to copy and paste this to the few threads I'm in, so sorry for the multiple posts, just want to keep all informed.

I see we have a few new ladies I need to add, I'll try to get those done this weekend
