Stopping BCP to TTC***Updates & Progress/Noted Changes Since Stopping BCP***24BFPs***

Completely un ttc related but I've had the worst day! :(

I squashed my foot between a standing forklift and a pallet behind me :( spent all morning at the ER, shockingly nothing is broken/fractured it's just all the soft bits in my foot that got crushed :/ it's agony to walk on but I got to buy crutches which are a royal pain :haha:

All my boss worried about was how to get the orders done and if I can come in tomorrow :/ grr

Oh no, keep it rested and try not to walk on it too much. Bruising can be so painful!!

Did another test and lines are getting darker, I've got to go to the Epu in 2 weeks for my 6 week scan to check bubs hb and to confirm in right place and midwife app is next week.

Oh patience! I am so sorry!! I hope you can stay off it for a bit, I agree, bruising is the worst! Boss sounds like a pain though. Hope you can heal quickly!

Hey all. Not sure if anyone remembers me but I was more active in this thread a while back. Recently, haven't had much of anything update about but thought I would now for anyone interested/people to come off the pill in the future.

I finally ovulated but it took me 5 months of being off the pill. I do not have PCOS or any physical issues, based on the trans vaginal ultrasound I had in April. Just bad luck I guess. But I finally last week got the only positive OPK I've seen since starting them in January and my temps confirmed it. I O'd on CD33 or 34 (FF and I have differing opinions). Before this I had a 39 day and then a 70 day anovulatory cycle. 59 days into my 70 day cycle I saw my doctor and was prescribed Provera but started AF before I was going to take it. I was planning to start it this cycle on CD45 but I O'd first. My doctor had told me I should take Provera every 30 days so I'm glad I ignored her and gave it a little longer.

I started taking Vitex (1200mg/day) in mid April. I got AF 2 weeks after I started it and O'd about 5 weeks after that, so 7 weeks on Vitex. Not sure if it had anything to do with it but I'm sticking with the Vitex for now. Obviously hoping to continue to regulate/shorten my cycle!

Anyhow, that's it. I guess sometimes these things take a while. Congrats to all the BFPs and good luck to everyone still trying!

I've heard vitex helps regulate cycles so much curiousowl, so I hope it works for you, sounds like it is so far. Good luck! Can't wait til test time for you, you had to wait long enough for O, so hopefully you'll be lucky and get it on the first go around :)

Thanks girls :) i feel sick from the pain at the moment, got me some fake tylenol so i don't feel guilty taking painkillers in my 2ww ! The super boobs are finally kicking in 5dpo yay :happydance: I like 2ww haha !

Hey Curious, I do remember you yes :) that is so great about finally ovulating ! I'm really pleased for you :) those crosshairs must feel goooood ! I believe the Vitex had a part to play, it's in the tea i drink and it helps bring my ovulation forward :) good luck and welcome to your first 2ww ! :happydance:

Today having nipple tenderness, and I swear the nipples look bigger! lol. Never have really had this during my normal cycles. Could it be symptoms from coming off of BCP?

I don't want to cause excitement *unless it's warranted of course, but the only time I noticed a change in my nipples was in my early mc, the day I got my positive I noticed my nips were a little larger, harder and darker. Not sure if it means anything though.

patience you poor thing! That sounds absolutely awful. Never used crutches myself except for playing around with a friends once....It was bloody hard! Hope its a speedy recovery for you.

Well, I am going to test tomorrow morning. Yesterday my nipples felt like they were on fire! I was constantly 'aware' of them, and when OH pinched one as a joke I nearly punched him! Nausea was pretty bad this morning, coupled with really bad anxiety.

I haven't noticed a change in the size of my nipples or the aerola, although I have noticed that they are always hard, and the hard part just looks different to the way it usually does, if that makes any sense. It protrudes more and just looks ...odd!
I went out today and bought a whole bunch of tests, so I'll be testing tomorrow and if BFN I'll test again in a few days. I definitely feel different. Can't put my finger on it but something is up.
Keeping FX!

Good luck lola, I think you may be getting your bfp tomorrow!!:happydance:

I said to myself I wouldn't temp in the 2ww so I don't stress myself out if my temp drops... That lasted all of 1 day :haha: lovely temp today means things can only go downhill from here!

It's gonna be hard to track symptoms this 2ww since my abs and chest muscles hurt from the crutches :D bring on the weekend!

Stay positive! You never know! I know what you mean about trying to not temp, I swore I wouldn't this cycle, af is almost out the door and I'm second guessing it now...we will see! I just keep thinking, I just want to know for sure I ovulated and when, especially with last month being so off...hehe, I think I just convinced myself it was okay at least through confirming ovulation :haha: How is your foot today?

Exactly! I need to know when my psycho ovulation is :D then I'm just so curious about my progesterone, only taking vit b6 this month so hoping for a longer lp, my temps tell me if af is Inc, how can I stop myself :haha:

Foot is turning nicely blue on either side where it was squashed, but I can take painful baby steps with the crutches, it hurts afterwards so doesn't seem much point to it  it's just so so hard hopping on crutches my hands and back can't take it! :(

Are you booked in to see your doc this cycle? :)

I guess you should just sit back, relax and catch up on some guilty pleasure shows :haha:

I have an appointment for next Monday the 16th, not sure if this is going to just be a consult or if he'll actually look into anything that day. Hoping for answers soon, so I hope we don't have to schedule another day to come in. He has said he wants to do some blood tests and check for any concerns there and also do a US to make sure nothing is blocked, mishaped, or nwhatever else.

I hope he's helpful :) we need to go leave blood tests along with hubby's swimmers but timing that in for his time off isn't easy :x

The lady we met was very nice but it felt a bit like we were being told off for coming before the 1 year mark, and she went on about how young we are (both 28) and enquired about our jobs, Sweden is so obsessed with career and having kids later on :/

Don't be afraid to be pushy, I've only gotten this far by being insulted at every turn for seeking help too soon, nothing is wrong, it's all in your head etc etc, it sounds like he's on the right path though :) let us know how it goes! There's nothing more satisfying than AF leaving the building and knowing you're close to Bd time :)

no BFP for me :nope:

Although I shouldn't have tested...I had a dream right before I woke up that I tested and got BFN lol.

I can't help feeling really let down...you always think you haven't got your hopes up too high but its definitely a kick in the gut when you don't see that positive.
I suppose I'll test again next week, maybe its just too early to be expecting a BFP

Anyway I hope you're all doing well!!

Also...If I was counting from day one of withdrawal bleed...I think I should have ovulated around 7th of June. (CD15) So now I would be only 4dpo...is that correct? I'm still so new at all this!

Sorry Lola, those bfns stink :(

You're correct about your cycle days yes, I slowly learned that any symptom before 7dpo is just the progesterone in your system because you tend to implant that eggy between 7-12 dpo and only then will any symptoms actually be related to a bfp, I don't want to get you down or anything but this is stuff I didn't know at first and it makes a lot of sense now and takes off some of the stress :)

I didn't even ovulate my first cycle off the pill although I had ov pains cd14 and felt so pregnant after I was 100% convinced, your body does mean things when it has to learn how to handle it's own hormones :( fingers crossed if you give it a few days (most ladies can barely see a squinter of a bfp at around 10dpo) that you'll get your answers :hugs:

Soooo exciting update from me, the 12 week scan well really well, we saw a little baby moving about and being very awkward not getting in the right position for the tests! I was dated 2 days ahead of what I thought, so today I am 13 weeks and 1 day. Not sure how it works as I know for sure when I ovulated - perhaps the dating now goes on growth rate rather than time? Can anyone shed any light?

Anddddd..... after the scan we went for a meal and my OH PROPOSED! Oh my days! We announced on FB yesterday and my phone has been going crazy all night!

This is how we did it, this picture with the caption "Found it hard to keep this secret for so long.... SUPRISE! (Even I didn't know about the ring until today!)

Jess &Wanttobe- how is the pregnancy going, all still well I hope?

Twinkie - are you getting any help this cycle?

Patience - ouchies for the foot!!!! But glad you are now in the 2WW - hope you get your BFP this time round!

Wtbam- congratulations huni!

All going well, tests getting darker each day (still can't resist poas urges)
I'm due at Epu for a scan In a week and half. Bad back ache n cramps come n go but I think all normal as no bleeding so not worrying (well trying not to) I've got a little bloat belly already lol which due to how slim I normally am has resulted in a few questions lol

Patience- how's your foot??

Lola- if af hasn't shown don't count yourself out as I was adamant I wasn't and was getting bfn until 11dpo and even then only faint
