Stopping BCP to TTC***Updates & Progress/Noted Changes Since Stopping BCP***24BFPs***

I hope all of you ladies get answers (and sticky beans) asap! I had my first appointment & ultrasound yesterday and everything looked great! Little heart was beating away at 169bpm and the head was even wiggling around! I was 4 days ahead of what I thought so my official due date is March 20th.

Thanks, Twinkie! :)

Jess, I love seeing your scan pic!!! Thanks for sharing that! And you're little guy is so dang cute. I love his little announcement shirt too! :)

Mkyerby, that's all wonderful news! I'm glad to hear that everything is moving along so nicely for you! :)

Lovely scan pic! Are you sure that's not a little weewee in the pic? :haha:

I'm interested in this gender theory, though both me vans Wtbam thought she'd be team blue teehee :D

aww Jess so cute!!!

Yay Myyerby! That is awesome!

Well ladies, I had a good conversation with my dr today. We are forcing a period and trying clomid. I will be getting testing and and being watched throughout.

Really hoping this works!

Charlie that's great, I really hope it works!

I'd like to share some information with you ladies that I don't believe I've shared yet, and if you get through reading the whole thing, props to you! Anyway, almost a year ago I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. In case anyone doesn't know, fibromyalgia is a chronic condition that causes constant pain, fatigue etc in the muscles skin and joints. This includes over 60 symptoms including restless leg syndrome, irritable bowel syndrome, extreme fatigue, muscle soreness, aching, unexplained rashes that can be very painful and my worst symptom, allodynia, which means that things that shouldn't hurt do. Things like my cat walking on my legs are extremely painful. I also have swayback, so my back curves too much one way, and scoliosis so my back also curves slightly the other way. My tailbone didn't fuse correctly so I also have a very minor form of spina bifida. Along with fibromyalgia also comes anxiety and depression. I am not depressed per say but I do go through phases that are sometimes hard to come out of. I am currently in one of those phases for no particular reason and trying to pull myself out of it because I am worried it will effect my ability to conceive which makes it worse. I have spent far too much time at the doctor which is why I still haven't called her yet.

Anyway, for anyone who made it through that (please ask questions if you have any) I am now on day 65 with no sign of AF and still negative tests. Haven't had a proper BMW in about 9 days. SWORE af was coming last night but nothing this morning. Feeling as though my hormones are whack though. Just haven't felt good about my body or myself in any way recently. I shower daily yet still feel dirty. Its really uncomfortable and I HAVE to call the doc tomorrow cause I don't know what to do. Thanks for reading if you did, you guys rock ♡

I read cdex - my eds causes chronic pain and scoliosis too. Major suckage.

I am really losing hope that I will ovulate. I know it is still possible until AF shows but not looking good. US ladies - how many cycles do you need to be annovulatory before a doctor will help you?

Cdex and mint. Each dr is different. Mine told me I should have come to her sooner when I was still having such long cycles. If you're not having a period at all then they try to figure out why. You should call your Dr to see what they would do.

Cdex- I know it's really hard to pull yourself out of your depressed phase but maybe the call to the dr well give you some good news and that will help. I couldn't imagine going through all that you do on a daily basis and just remember that you are a strong woman!

That sounds very difficult cdex :( a friend of mine has fibromyalgia, I'm always showing her different diet styles wondering if they'd help. Low carb or raw food is my fave way of eating, I hope there's something in your diet that could help your energy levels :flower: nothing is harder than getting out of depression but it takes the time it requires, if you can manage it I always feel loads better after I've gone to the gym (even if my back/foot hurt after!)

Are you worried about getting pregnant with your back? I have 2 slipped discs in my lower spine and have had my fair share of crazy drugs for the pain but have worked on strengthening it and have been meds free for over a year :) i dread getting a big bump that will probably catch the nerves and cause all sorts of hurt :(

Charlie I think this will be a good route for you to take, you'll have the Dr there the whole time to fix anything that might not be working for you :) when do you start?

I am worried about it patience, with the constant pain in my back all the time, the doctor did say it would probably be hard on my back, but I'm trying not to worry. Also, I've heard many women say that fibromyalgia goes into remission while pregnant so hopefully I at least won't have to worry about that part.

But hey guess what? Spotting this morning :) Never thought I would be so excited for that!

I really hope you are one of those people go gets a bit of r&r from it then! :) I'm glad your body is finally doing something at least <3

Glad you started spotting cdex! Thank you for sharing your story with all of us. You have been on quite the journey. I understand with all that is going on not wanting to go to the dr, but maybe, even though you have started spotting, it may not be a bad idea to get a base line started with your dr regarding your cycles. They may be able to monitor a full cycle and see if you are having hormone issues.

Cdex Yay for spotting! ! I had light spotting my first period off of bcp and it was only a few days but then I had a more normal one 42 days later. I hope you don't have to deal with even more pain when you finally get your BFP!

Thank you patients! I started taking the provera yesterday. I will take it for a total of 10 days then start the clomid on cycle day 5 and take it until cycle day 9. I'll have a blood test on cycle day 21 to check if I ovulated. I'm so full of hope right now it's ridiculous! I really hope this works! This whole thing has been wearing me thin and I know it's wearing down my DH too, though he won't admit it because he's trying to be strong for both of us. ♡

Good luck charlie!! I hope the combination of provera to bring on a new cycle then clomid is just the ticket for you!!

Charlie, that's great news! I'm glad your dr was able and willing to help you out so much. I really, really hope the meds work for you! I love that your DH is so awesome though and is trying to stay strong for you both. <3

Cdex, I'm sorry for all that you go through every day. :( I know that must be really hard. I can also understand why it might make you hesitate to call the dr about this, as you just don't want to deal with MORE dr's and MORE appointments. I still encourage you to do so though (if your spotting doesn't pan out, but YAY :happydance: for that!!!), as they really might be able to help you and I think it would be worth it in the long run. :hugs: I do really hope that you're one of the lucky ones that goes into remission while pregnant!

Mint, I'm also sorry that you go through so much medically as well! :( Oh no on losing hope that you've O'd! I thought things were looking good again for you. :( I really can't say for sure when dr's will start helping with things like that but I agree with Charlie that I think here, they're all different. My dr told me that if we're not pregnant after 6 months to come see her for testing, whereas I know a lot will make you wait until a year. So I think it's all up to the dr and their beliefs. I would think it would be worth a call at least! Good luck!

Patience, I have a slipped (or bulging, I've been told both and I'm not sure which it is) disc as well and it's definitely not pleasant. I've done the epidural shots twice and those SUCKED. It didn't hit me until a few months ago that it would probably be super unpleasant during pregnancy, so now I'm kind of worried about it too. Especially since I kind of undid all of the benefits of the last epidural by shoveling snow about 1 1/2 yrs ago and it's been a lot more painful since then. :dohh:

Thanks ladies! I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed!!

Sorry you ladies have so much pain to go through on a daily basis! I hope that you don't have much to deal with when you get your BFP and sticky beans ♡♡

Turtle- haha I definitely lucked out in the DH area. He's a great guy (I'm sure you all have wonderful men as well! ) I love him to bits. Of course sometimes I feel like I smother him with all this baby talk stuff lol.

Thanks ladies, looks like it is officially CD1. Still fairly light but definitely AF, cramps and all. Hoping this is a good reset for my body. I do believe I will begin temping tomorrow. I didn't want to but seems like a really good way to keep track.

That's great cdex - I didn't want to either and didn't for the first 2 cycles. It definitely helps to know for sure if you are O'ing or not!

Cdex, I'm so happy for you that AF finally arrived! Yay! Now you can finally be on to the next cycle. I still can't decide for sure on temping or not. I REALLY don't want to...but I also really know it could help a lot. :/ I think I'm going to give it one more cycle without and if that doesn't work then I'll break down and start.
