Stopping BCP to TTC***Updates & Progress/Noted Changes Since Stopping BCP***24BFPs***

Welcome, Charmed! That's so great that you O'd so quickly after coming off BC, especially with PCOS! I really hope you caught that eggie! It's definitely early to test (although I understand why you couldn't wait any longer! :) ) but I hope you get you still get your BFP this cycle! Good luck, and keep us posted!

Cdex, I'm so happy for you that it wasn't a bad AF for you! What a relief. And happy to hear that you're feeling so optimistic! New cycle, new chance to get that BFP. :)

Charlie, I'm happy to hear that you're full of hope too! :) Sounds like things are going well for you on the meds, I'm hoping they continue on the positive trend!

Mint, nobody's sick of your posts! I'm just sorry it's been so up and down for you this month. I think it's looking very promising that you're now on 3 dpo, yay for answers (hopefully)!

Patience, I'm excited for your appointment too! I'm excited for you to get the help and answers that you're looking for. :)

Twinkie, I'll have to look at that to give it a peek! I'm excited to see! :)

Hope everyone is having a good day today!

Aw, thank you all! I really hope I caught that little egg! We only BDd once & that was 2 days before I Od! Fingers crossed :D

Today & yesterday, I've been feeling really crampy. Not sure if it's anything or nothing. I guess I'm now only 8dpo!

Aw, Jess, how are you feeling? Was it overwhelming to get pregnant so quickly? I've been feeling a bit taken aback today, I guess it's finally dawning on me that there's no going back now! I could be pregnant! Lol. Nothing I can do about it now, it's a bit scary really! I guess I never thought it would happen for me, I still dont, if I'm honest! But I'm hoping & praying, even if my mind is getting a bit freaked :O

Hope you've had a good day too Turtle, I love your sig.. What are your furbabies? I have 8 furbabies myself!! :D xx

Charmed, I completely understand how you feel. I'm only just now starting my 3rd cycle of ttc but like so many before me, I thought for sure I was pregnant that first month. And then I started to freak out, like "What the hell have we done?!" kind of freak out (inwardly of course). So when AF arrived that first month, I was honestly kind of relieved! As silly as that is. I really want it and yet it's so scary at the same time. This last month I was sure that I was (yet again, and yet again I was wrong!) but AF arrived really early this cycle so I didn't really have time to start freaking out this time. ;) I think each month of trying prepares me mentally just a little bit more than the month prior.

Wow, 8 fur babies!!! That's so many, and so awesome! Mine are all dogs...I have a boxer that just turned 3 on Monday, a Pointador (the name we made up for her since she's a lab/pointer mix) who is almost 10, and a...mutt of some sort (we really don't know with him, but we're thinking there's some Boston in there, some Brittany and...we don't really know what else!) who is also 3. Him and our boxer are inseparable and seem to think they're twins, so we gave him the same birthday as the boxer. :) What do you have?

Thank you so much for this!! I was worried there was something wrong with me for feeling like that! You've described how I've been feeling perfectly! :D It is so scary sometimes, normally I get completely freaked at night time. I came off the pill a month late because I chickened out the first time. I will be so happy when I finally see BFP, but I think I'll be so scared too!

Aw, your dogs sound so cute! Haha, we have a 'Whippley'! He's a Collie, Whippet cross called Sox <3 Our other furbabies are 2 rabbits, 3 guinea pigs, a hamster & a chinchilla :D I love my pets, think they might have been filling a void for me. Worried I'll have my hands full when we have a LO running about as well!

I was a little worried about feeling like that at first too! Then I saw other people on here saying they felt the same and it made me feel better about it. So I get that too! I know I'll be happy and scared out of my mind at the same time once it actually happens. :) I've been really loving these boards so much, it's great to have such supportive people to be able to talk to about this stuff! And people who actually get it, because they're going through it too. That makes me giggle that you chickened out of going off the pill when you had planned! Hey, it's a HUGE decision, and (if it works as planned), completely life changing!

Aww, your animals sound great! And like a handful, but like a wonderful handful. :) I love mine so much too, I treat my dogs like they're my kids. I'm sure they have been filling a void for me as well for quite some time now. I love that you've created your own dog breed name too by combining his breeds! Fun! :)

I'm with ya'll on my fur babies being our 1st children and filling a void. I have 2 dogs. A Chocolate Lab who will be 3 years old in a few weeks and a Shorkie (Yorkie/Shitzu mix) who is 3! We got the Shorkie a few months before we got married and he lived with me at my parents house till we bought ours, then we got our lab the week we got home from the honeymoon, so they have been our babies from the start. They are spoiled rotten but I love them so much. I am a bit worried about how they'll adjust to their new sibling. They have both been laying on my belly alot lately though. I used them to make my FB announcement (pic in my journal).

We specifically got a dog a year 1/2 ago in order to control my baby-craziness while we were WTT. It worked pretty well. Even now I sometimes think maybe I don't need a baby and I just need more dogs lol!

I love all this fur - children talk! I have 2 of them as well. We have a boxer too Turtle, ours just turned 6! Our other dog is some crazy mix she could also be a kelpie but we aren't sure, she will be 5 in November. They have held me over but I either need a baby or a puppy stat lol.

Patience- I have 3 more days of provera then on CD5 I start the Clomid. I should O anywhere between CD 14-24. (5-10 days after I stop taking the clomid)

xx

If it's any help, we only bd 3 and 2 days before ov as my partner was working away. And we managed to catch the egg! So Defo in with a.chance huni

I'm feeling ok, currently full of the flu though. Eurggghhh, I miss being able to dose myself up. I feel rotten lol.
Yeah it was overwhelming especially as I have only one tube So we were expecting a.long wait, I even got accepted onto the Clearblue ovulation trial and ended up sending the kit back as never needed it. We defo hadn't intended it to have happened so soon, the plan was that it'd probably take my body a month or.few to regulate a cycle and then we would only have a shot every other month cos of the tube issue. So it kinda threw us when I found out. Obviously we were happy but had planned that we could get the house bought and that I wouldn't be pregnant on holiday which was 2 months almost after coming off the pill. So just gave us a few things to shuffle round.

Luckily my divorce from ex was already going through and was completed before he would have noticed the bump when picking up my son otherwise could have been awkward. Lol.

Essay or what!

Fur babies are the best <3 I've almost always had cats at home, currently got my grumpy middle aged catbear (he's huge but insists on laying on me a lot, I love the cuddles!) he's definitely helped a lot :) it's always the question on how fur babies will react to real ones, I think he will be put out at worst case, more likely he'll sleep in the baby bed (or try lol) when he heard baby screaming on TV he looked mortified though :haha: and when my brother in laws 3 year old came round he fled in terror and hid! I think he'll get over it though, he loves people but not loud noises :D

Random non baby related stuff: still having problems with my foot :( soon as I tried exercising again it got much worse, and the insurance companies refuse to pay out! I'm so mad at everyone at the moment, they're just ignoring the problem hoping I go away. No chance!!

Aw, love all this fur baby talk! Glad it's not just me! Haha. A lot of ours are older now & as we're planning for a baby, we won't get any more. Makes me a bit sad cos I'm used to a house full, but sure I'll be so busy with baby that it wouldn't be fair on the pets!

I'll reply properly later, on my phone atm & it's a bit temperamental!

Woke up an hr early this morninng & needed a wee, so took my temp.. massive dip! Now don't know what to think. Went back to sleep for an hr & retook it & it was higher again, but I don't know which one to trust. There's a .3 degree difference between them so a big difference! Not sure what to make of it. No AF & been cramping for the last couple of days. 9dpo today xx

Trying not to symptom spot, but it's so difficult! Been feeling a bit off colour again today. Just ate lunch & suddenly felt so sick afterwards! It was awful :( So confused. Surely 9dpo is too early for morning sickness or even AF related sickness? I don't normally get sick around AF, but this will be my first one after stopping bc so I don't know what to expect! Feeling dizzy now & on & off the loo :( Sorry, tmi!!

It's so very hard to tell the first month off bcp, i think everyone of us felt totally pregnant first cycle! The hormones are just going bonkers :) i hope it's the real deal though!

2 out of 3 times I conceived I noticed very early on, I'd be super tired and nauseus, the most recent time I was babbling on about how certain I was that I was pregnant from about 5dpo, i just knew! So anything is possible :) most of us feel very symptomy around that dpo, basically pre af will always feel like early pregnancy! :( the best way is sadly to learn from experience, being able to compare symptoms each month that way you can see if something is out of the ordinary from your af cycled :flower:

On my first month off BCP I swore blind I was pregnant, but wasn't. When I did get pregnant I had no symptoms at all other than a very strange pain when I had an orgasm!

I'm not sure I genuinely believe that I might be pregnant.. I'm just not sure what else I can put my 'symptoms' down to. I keep feeling crampy, but I wonder if that's just my IBS? & the sickness.. I'm not sure, the last time I had the same meal, I ended up being really unwell that evening, so maybe subconsciously I'd made myself feel sick? Hmm. I never feel sick with AF, but who knows! I was hoping I was past the hormones from coming off BCP, I had an awful first couple of weeks off it! I felt just rotten, lots of dizziness, eating everything in sight. Bleugh. Then I started to feel better. Hope the sickness isn't down to that as well, if it is then it is.. But I'd rather not be feeling sick! Lol.

I'm just trying to forget about it mostly. I'm half expecting AF anyway now that my temps have dropped. Guess I'll see what tomorrow brings!

I honestly felt worse my second month off bcp than the first, maybe because I quit after starting the pack so the 2nd month was my first non-hormone supported month from day 1 to AF. Not trying to scare you, just letting you know that it takes a good while for your body to learn to adjust itself and your hormone production. I hope it passes quickly for you though, we all know how awful that beginning phase can sometimes be.

Hope everyone else is doing well. Anyone even close to testing soon? Haven't heard much lately.

Patience-sorry the foot is still bugging you! and about your cat, one of mine is EXACTLY the same! Hides whenever little ones are at the house, in fact she is in hiding now due to a thunderstorm :( poor baby!

Ohh, don't say that!! I don't think I'd like a month worse than this one has been! In some ways, I'm glad that I've had some side effects from stopping BCP, last time I had nothing! No dizziness, sickness, nada. My hormones never kicked in.. So I'm hopeful that all this feeling rotten at least means that my hormones are behaving normally! :D I have PCOS & was expecting nothing after stopping the pill, so I'll be happy if I get BFP or AF! Although, obviously much happier if I get BFP! Haha  Anything to get out of those pesky fertility tests! They were just rotten

Charmed - I was symptom spotting from 5dpo, then managed to talk myself out of it to the point of where I was planning on getting drunk one eve and OH made me.do a preg test first
... Which was at 11dpo and was a bfp. Lol.

I had a few Dizzy spells and a moment of major nausea when cooking other than that no major symptoms until after about 9dpo and then I got sore boobs (altho could have been more to do with how much I was poking them ha)

Oh no! Good job you took that test! :'D I think I find it just so hard to believe that it might happen, it could have happened!

The nausea earlier was so strong! I felt awful! My boobs keep feeling weird too. Not sore as such, maybe itchy? but not all the time. I figure that even if I get AF, knowing how I felt this cycle will let me know what's normal for the next ones. I'll know what to expect! Although I'm definitely hoping that if I'm not pregnant then the nausea was a one off. Certainly don't want that every month! :'D How long downturn nausea last for you? xx

I'm loving all the fur baby talk too!

Mkyer, I love the doggie announcement pic! So cute!

Charlie, I just absolutely love boxers! They're the best! Of course I love all 3 the same, but boxers sure are a lot of fun! :) :)

Charmed, I hope your next month off the pill is better for you! Or better yet, I just hope you get your BFP this month and you don't have to worry about it. :) Not to worry you, but I will say that I still have a lot of nausea, primarily after I eat. I'm now starting my 3rd cycle off the pill. However, I just went to the Dr yesterday and found out I have an ear infection in both ears so that might be contributing to the nausea. I hope so anyways! Either way, FX for you that it gets better one way or another!
