TTC & Dieting (for overweight women)

Is Zumba fun?!? I soooo wanna try it! I think they may have classes here. It looks like a blast.

What is your weight loss plan? Cutting carbs, eating clean, drinking enough water and hitting the gym. My work is offering Zumba one night a week...I might try it!
How long have you been TTC? 4 years. First IUI last cycle failed. Trying to decide if I want to take a month off to lose some weight or try another IUI this month.

What is your weight loss plan? I've just started WW 2 1/2 weeks ago. I did really really well the 1st 2 weeks, but the last couple days I have fallen off the wagon. So mad at myself. I'm back on it tomorrow!!! I also need to get excersing. but I work 40+ hours a week and take care of my 15 month old so by the time he is in bed, I am so so exhausted! I need to find something that I can start out with...baby steps :)

How long have you been TTC? Since Aug 2011 - just started the 2ww for cycle 6


I am so glad to have found this thread, it just might be the little support system i need to help me stay on track!

What is your weight loss plan? Cutting carbs, eating healthier, drinking plenty of water and hitting the gym. My work has a free gym, and I feel so ashamed for not using it. There is no excuse.
How long have you been TTC? 1 year.

Last month I lost 10 lb due to dieting, but gained it all back right away. Feel very unattractive. I think I gained ever 40 lb in just about 7 months. I have hypothyroidism so it could be because of it, but I just blame myself for overeating. This needs to stop.
 
I was super naughty. We had Domino's for dinner.

its ok if you treat yourself every now and then! i had buffalo wild wings tonight (my absolute favorite!), but i only ate half of it...2 chicken strips and a few wedges. its all about proportions! You have to indulge every now and then or you'll just completely binge one day and THAT is not good!

Jamie ooo Dominos!? :dohh: bad bad girl! Why does it have to be soo gosh darn delicious??! I love the way they make it now. With that buttery garlic taste on the crust. Jump back on the wagon tomorrow! You can do it girl! How many slices did you have? I don't see having 2-3 slices a bad thing if that's all you ate that day.

Karina your weight loss plan sounds awesome! As far as the gym goes, go for it :thumbup: You can do it! Don't even think about it and just DO IT. If you think about it, you'll just keep talking yourself back out of it. Got faith in you!

Tiffany ww is awesome! Sounds like you've done a great job. Definitely hop back on the wagon tmrw! I know it's really hard, but just do the best you can. It doesn't matter how fast you get there, it just matters that you DO get there. As far as working out, ughh it really is hard when you work a full time job ++ more . There's little things you could do. Do you have any exercise equip at home? Maybe just do little segments here and there whenever you can between things.

Katejo sounds like you're headed in the right direction! As far as the IUI, that's totally up to you sweety. If you feel like losing the weigh for 1 month will help the chances, then wait. It's a hard decision.

AFM, i'm 8dpo today. I'm feeling really achy in my lower back and legs. This morning i had some brownish goo on the toilet paper. Hoping it was IB and my BFP is around the corner. As far as the weight loss, i didn't work out today. I worked all damn day. It's a workout, that's for sure. On my feet constant for 8 hrs, bending and speed walking, nonstop! I'll be working out on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. So tiring. I'm really really tired right now :sleep:
 
I had 3 slices :o and a couple little wedges of the cheesy bread.
Its better than when i used to eat almost an entire pizza!

I will get back on track today!
 
Jamie woohoo! You go girl. I agree, much better than eating a whole pizza. I use to do that too and STILL could. I'm starving LOL. I think i superbowl Sunday i'm going to allow myself to have a couple slices and some wings. Got to indulge every once in awhile!
 
I find if i dont allow myself to eat something naughty (always take out, guilty pleasure) once in a while, i just bingee for days!
So i eat when im craving it!
 
You're exactly right. I do too. Or if i don't eat enough during the day, i'll binge at night. I'll go from a few chips, to another handful, to another. By the time i'm done i had 3 servings. It's hard as hell! We will get through it together :hugs:

I did good today. Had Special K cereal for bfast with celery and pb. For lunch i had a sandwich, 100 cal pack (cheezits), 1 orange. For dinner i had a large salad, meatloaf with potatoes and a double choc rice krispy treat. Was yumm! Had all my water in too!
 
well i said i would post my weigh in today since i weigh on saturdays. Not as much of a loss as I would have liked, but i'm going to keep on going. Im down from 173.0 to 172.4. a loss is a loss, right? ugh...losing weight is so difficult! Thanks ladies for being an encouragement! we're all on a healthier track to getting our BFPs :)

Can I join in pls? Will be TTC in 3 months and desperate to shift some weight! I originally wanted to get into the normal BMI range, but as I am very tall, the scale doesn't really work for me-I was 'overweight' when I was a size ten! So just want to lose a little and feel better about myself.

Start weight: 280
Goal weight: 235
Height: 6' 2"

Planning on drinking more water, eating loads more fruit and veg, and lots of exercise. I've been unable to do anything for 12 months due to a torn Achilles tendon, so really looking forward to doing sport again!

Mazzle, welcome to our thread!! Wow you've already done a great job with the weight loss!! 3 months is a great time frame to keep losing the weight to TTC! Your plan sounds great too!

lw0619 .6.... i'll take that!!! You're right, a loss is a loss. You're closer than you were a week ago, right?! It's WAY better than gaining. Good job girl!! :happydance:
 
I gained a pound! Damn Dominos!!
Ah well, back on track & hopefully lose that & then some this week!!
 
DO NOT give up! Even if you gain or you stay the same. The key is to just keep on going! :)
 
Cochy is right! Just keep on going! A pound could mean you are just retaining water from eating that salty pizza. You will be able to drop that extra water this week. Just drink more water and you will be good to go. :)
 
Thanks babydust, but I should point out that today is first day if dieting, so current weight IS 280! lol. 235 is where I want to be, but to be honest I'm more interested in losing belly fat and getting fit, so whatever weight that means us fine by me!!! Xx

Ps has anyone else tried 30 day shred?
