WTT for #1 thread

Hello All! :hi:

Everyone can call me Lilly. Me and the SO are both 32 and WTT in 2013!

Brief bio: I came to this site close to 3 yrs ago when I was in another relationship and although we weren't in love we both wanted children. Well that relationship didn't last and I never got a BFP, which is probably for the better. Now I am in a relationship with someone that I absolutely adore and although our whole relationship has moved very fast, one thing we have managed to do is NOT get pregnant! Although we knew it was something we wanted very early on we just wanted to wait to things were financially better and we were together longer.

Well here we are, WTT! Here is our timeline: A few weeks ago I started weaning off a med I would like out of my system if possible before we start. In about two weeks I start letting the depo wear off. Today I started taking prenatal vitamins. Hopefully, I will have had at least one period by Jan (I've had no periods for about 6 mons because of Depo). So I hope all that made sense.

So we are basically planning on letting nature take it's course and blah blah blah lol, but I got a feeling after about 2-3 months of that I'll be taking temps!

Wishing everybody lots of sticky beans (still learning the lingo lol)!

The depo was awful for me. I was only on it for a year and it took me about a year and a half maybe to start bleeding again and I bled every day for nine months straight! I really hope you have a better recovery from it and start getting normal periods again sooner than I did. I would take an OPK though because your cycles may end up being different from what they were pre-depo (I think I had about a 25 day cycle before I got on the depo and now I have about a 31 day cycle 3 years after getting off of it, I have my period on the 22nd of every month). I think I have a long luteal phase because a calendar based on a 14 day luteal phase told me that I am supposed to ovulate on the 8th of every month. I took an OPK for the first time this morning (because that was when the calendar told me to start taking it) and I got a very visible (but still lighter than the control line) test line. I believe that my LH surge will happen in the next couple of days based on that information, meaning that I actually probably have a 16-19 day luteal phase.

Wow KalonKiki, I can't imagine! I've been on depo before and didn't have any trouble coming off, but you never know! Thanks for all the advice too...gosh that all sounds so technical! Whoa, I think I need a notepad! lol

You're lucky if you've come off it pretty well then. I'll never get back on the thing again. Natural family planning for this girly! At least I know that I'm actually ovulating now though. I was worried for a while that maybe I wasn't because of the depo.

I'm only wtt for another week and a day. But I thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Marie. I'm only 20 but I will be 21 or a week from 21 when I have the baby. I know I'm young but I'm actually years past my age. I've been at this job for 5 years and am now a supervisor, I moved out when I was 17 and my fiancé and I have been dating for over 3 years, living together for about 2 and engaged for just over 1. He is 24 so he is ready as well and fits well with my maturity level. We are ttc around Christmas and hoping for a BFP (picking up the lingo too :) )around New Years.

Me and my hubby are WTT or NTNP until some unknown time in 2013. His thoughts are that I need to be pregnant by the end of 2013 at least so we will see what happens. Anyways I am 24 and he is 25. We were married in September after being together only a year, but madly in love and can't wait to start a family.

We are waiting mostly because we want to put a 10k deposit on a home, we have half. And are planning to have it this fall. So any time now would be good for us.

I am very nervous about the whole thing and I just want my baby in my belly already so I can stop trying to scare myself off from it! I think if I listened to my thoughts I'd probably never find the "right" time. We'd never have enough money, never have enough preparations, never have enough research done, and I'd never be able to go through with labor! I'm such a worrier!

Oh yes we are planning this to be our only baby so it's something very special to us :)

I'm Bluberri, haha. I've been with my DB for 5 years, 6 years in a few days. We live in different states but are looking to move in together in summer of 2013 and are looking to TTC in the same time period. Our reasons for WTT are money, not living together yet and me already busy in life for the moment. Looking to be pregnant this time next year though! :D

Hi everyone,

I'm brand new to this site. I'm 27 years old (dh is 28), living in California and have been with my husband for 8 years, married for 1.5. For a little while after we got married I wasn't too anxious to have children - it was more of a someday thing. If it happened sometime, great, if i didn't, great. But then, over this past year, I lost two family members rather tragically and suddenly and really see the value of family now. A lot. Of course dh is family, but I'm definitely anxious to grow our family.

Before we can do so, we both have some goals we'd like to accomplish. We're both working full time and have great benefits, however, his company is pretty much a house of cards and is laying off hundreds of people each year. Once he finds a more stable job (fingers crossed for 2013!), he'll feel more confident in having children. However, I have a few goals for myself/us before we conceive. First and foremost, we're in the middle of a huge renovation of our condo which is wonderful, but also stressful at the moment. Second, I'm a marketing coordinator, but have graphic design skills, and video editing skills that I've been neglecting so my goal is to get some more projects under my belt, create an online portfolio and *ideally* find another job this year as well. But my pay and benefits are good where I'm at and it's stable so either way is alright. I also want to go to New Orleans, and visit Hawaii one more time sans-children. In September we have two weddings to attend/be in for people very close to us, and then... I will go off the pill?... Maybe? NFP or NTNP? We'll see.

Is anyone letting their family members in on when they plan to ttc? Last week my mom asked me when she can look forward to grandchildren and I told her 3-4 years, even though husband and I are really talking about 1-2 years. I don't want people to know when we're ttcing, it seems very personal, even to tell my mom. Also, if we need to change the timeline, or if it doesn't happen as quickly as I'd like, I don't want our family members breathing down our necks... especially in issues that concern the bedroom! Awkward...

Anyways, I'm glad to have found a place where others are in limbo too!

:hi:
I'm Kayleigh, 21 and WTT for #1 in 2014.
Can't wait, I'm always up for a wee gab girlies.

I'm 28 and waiting for my husband to be ready. I want to lose 1.5st before TTC so I'm working on that at the moment, but even when that's done, it all depends on my husband giving my the ok to start trying :(

Can you please change me to wtt till 2016 finances permitting :D

Helloooooo, I'm crystal :) married since July 2012 and have been ntnp I guess since then. Wtt (seriously at least) until sept 2013 but may be sooner depending on how hubby's apprenticeship goes, could be sooner! We live in sunny Queensland in Aus, and have two cats Milly and Asher.

Don't know what else to say!

Hey folks,

I'm very new to this site. Recently, i stumbled upon it while trying to figure out symptoms while me and my bf were in the midst of a 'scare'. I was previously on The Pill but after a strangely late period, I was late starting my next pack. I knew that there was a chance of getting pregnant. My LMP was dec 11 and I'm still waiting for it after 3 BFN and negative bloodwork. I had some nausea, constipation, burping spells (lol), very tired the list goes on, which have all kind of subsided. With trying to figure all this out we started saying that the symtoms were maybe just the flu, slowly turning into our little code word for being preggo, hence the username.
Through all this me and my partner have realized that we wanted to have a baby more than we thought and he even said he wants to TTC soon. I have decided not to restart The Pill after all that I've read now and hoping to start tracking my cycles. Not too sure how 'safe' we want to be quite yet. Just waiting for AF to show back up and get back on track.
All in all we are WTT because I am 3 months away from graduating from my BSc in Nursing, planning to be debt free in the summer, we'd prefer to be married before having a LO, he wants to get another term of his apprenticeship done and we are really trying to buy a house before Xmas 2013! We have friends who are TTC in April and I hope we're not too far behind. Maybe expecting in early 2014!

I hope to get to know my way around this amazing sights and maybe meet a few ppl in the same boat!!

Can you add me to the list? I'm new here, and wtt for #1. We plan on TTC July 2013. I am so excited! I am really glad I found this forum. I have lurked in a lot of forums for TTC, but this is the first one I found for people just like me Waiting to Try!

I've probably posted in here before, but I can't remember.

I'm Jen, 25 (almost 26). Married June 2012, been together 8 years. We plan to TTC in September :)

I've been on here for almost 5 years! I need to graduate soon haha x

Hi! I'm Kaity... new to the boards. So happy to have found this forum. Like TeacherGal, I've lurked on other TTC boards, but always felt awkward posting since we were still WTT.

My DH and I are both 25 and have been together for 9 years, married for 5 years. We were high school sweethearts and each other's first loves. He is my very best friend and I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful man in my life.

We will be TTC for our first baby in May of this year... it's getting so close! While we wait we are just enjoying it being the two of us and our dog and I've been working on enjoying and living in the here and now, and not just looking into the future.

Hope to meet some lovely ladies on these boards to get to talk with through this journey!

Hi I'm new to this. I'm nearly 21 been with OH 7 years ... Wtt :) ... But can't try until we have our own place and I would like to do my nurse training as I'm a health care assistant but don't think that will be happening anytime soon .. And OH wants to finish his training ... I really don't want to wait but I know it would be better to wait and be more financially stable :( ... Soo many people I know are having babies!! Makes me soooo broody :) ...
