Hey my nickname is Kiki and i'm 19. I have been with my OH also 19 for just over 3 and a half years (childhood sweethearts) We are engaged but no plans for when to get married yet because of money etc. I have been broody pretty much since i was 17 so joined here to try calm it down a bit i have been waiting for 2 and a half years ish now and we have a couple of ttc dates we are thinking about but depends on circumstances. I just finished college and have started my job in a nursery. OH has a trial tomorrow with a building place so if he gets it we will be more on track than ever with moving out and then being able to try so our date really depends on what happens tomorrow which is so nerve wracking!

Hi everyone, new to the site here. Im 25 year old Danielle. My fiance Lou and i have been together 6.5 years and engaged 6 months. We have a wonderful relationship and have talked about having family together for more then a couple of years. Finally the time is feeling just right, we are doing well financially & as well as in our relationship. We love eachother very much and are super excited to add to our family. We are planning to TTC around October this year although im feeling really antsy and wouldnt mind if we started in Septemeber. I find myself obsessing over the idea of getting pregnant. Two weeks ago i talked to my family doctor & i have started talking prenatal vitamins, iv also been changing my diet and trying to get abit more exercise. Im excited to hear more WWT & TTC stories

My name is Jessica! I'm engaged and we've had a bit of a whirlwind romance. Our our wedding day we won't have known each other quite a year. But I was in a very long and very different relationship before. I just know. It's different. We're so much alike and things are just easy and complimentary. We hardly even disagree and when we do we solve things so well. We're definitely still in the honeymoon stage where we start saying lovey dovey things to one another and getting teary eyed, haha, but we laugh at ourselves often so we even that out!

We have no pets. We work at the same giant company. We have a little two bedroom house. He's a gamer and loves gadgets. I'm a reader and I love clothes.

We've both got brothers. We have between us, three nieces, one nephew and another niece on the way.

We both want kids, a bunch of them. I'm so happy and excited to have met a man as happy and as excited as I am to have a family.

My name is Rachelle. Have been with my husband, David, since 2003, we got married in 2005. He is in the US Army. We've had a pretty interesting life so far. We have been stationed in Kaiserslautern, Germany, and Ft Riley, KS. We moved to Ft Lewis, WA just last April. We have four kitties (1 kittie in heaven, who was my pride and joy, she passed away last July). Max, Molly, Jackson, and Lola (kittie in heaven is Dottie). I work full time at McChord Commissary (military version of a grocery store), and go to school part time for Medical billing and Coding.

I don't have a whole lot in common with other woman. I listen to metal, I have a 3/4 sleeve on my right arm and am soon starting on my left arm (OBSESSED WITH TATTOOS!!!). I was diagnosed in 2010 during my husbands 2nd tour in Iraq with Major Depression and Generalized Anxiety Disorder, due to a very abusive childhood from my mother, who I no longer have ANY sort of relationship. Nor with my sister, because she's just a weeotch. I am very close to my other sister, and I have a niece and nephew from her, and a niece from my mean sister.

Hubs is an only child, and I get along with my in laws surprisingly well. My FIL can be a bit overwhelming sometimes. but my mil is like my mom. I adore her.

We just recently bought our first house. Two weeks later, he left for Afghanistan. I'm actually really enjoying being in the house by myself. He doesn't really have any say in what the house looks like. So I'm enjoying that in itself.

We had plans to get pregnant in Aug 2012. He got orders for his third deployment in Jan. He left in March. He's return date right now is end Nov/beg Dec. We plan to start night of.

Hi I am Scarlet or my irl name is Tressa. I'm 25 yrs old and OH is 30.

OH & I have been dating for 2 years, we met in college about 5 years ago but both were in other relationships, however, our great friendship made us realize we're so happy together and no other person could make us that happy. We are engaged to be married on August 24 2012.

OH has a son already who is 11 yrs old, but had a vclip after trying to prevent any further "accidents" which was removed in 2010 when he realized he had reached a point in his life where he was ready for more children. We are planning to have test sperm testing done before next August to see if that will be an issue once ttc again.

We live in Buffalo, NY, we're a very close couple, we spend a lot of time together when not working, even if I'm reading and he's playing video games, or stuff like that we're usually always right next to each other making comments and showing our support.

Prior to March 2012 we had been saving up money to be ready to have children and in April decided to ttc until August 2012, hoping we would have a baby and I would be back to my (already bought) wedding dress size. However, as we learned even with bbts and opks, getting pregnant wasn't as easy as health teachers make it sound in HS, and we're back to TTA until August 2013. Due to vitamins and possibly stress in that short time my cycles changed a bit.

I am a nanny but recently lost BOTH my 2 part-time jobs due to scheduling changes with the families, so despite having money already saved, going back to TTA at this point is probably a better choice.

I am excited for both our wedding and TTC again eventually, and although slightly disappointed we are glad we had this opportunity to see how difficult and stressful it can be trying to get pregnant so that we are more prepared for next August. I will be charting and doing everything else we were doing while TTC just without the whole trying to catch the egg idea.

I have made so many great friends on hear from NTNP and TTC#1 and hope to make many more with ladies who some will hopefully be TTC around the same time as I do again.

Due to studying and the recession we have only recently been in a position when we are both in full time employment!

On Christmas day 2011, my guy popped the all important question! Our wedding is now booked to take place in May 2014 and we have discussed that we will start TTC then.

We joke that we are a perfect couple - I only like the egg yolk, and he only likes the white. Match made in heaven

I am a nurse, in full time NHS employment. I work mainly with the elderly (which I love) but also with minor injuries/treatment room. OH is a joiner - partly the reason why our finances have struggled during the recession.

I have a little brother, OH has a big sister. My parents are together and stay just 5 minutes up the road. His parents split when he was small and have both remarried = massive family!

Hello ladies!

I'm D, 30 on Wednesday, fiancé J is 31 on the 16th, we're having a combined birthday and engagement party next Saturday night (engaged for nearly 3.5 years lol).

We're going to start trying in November, and move then marry after BFP!

I'm a full time carer for my oldest brother since my Mum passed just before we got engaged (J managed to ask permission as I don't speak to my father, and before he could propose in front of her, she left us. He proposed three weeks later on Mother's Day, God love him). I used to work in Disability Services, and before that, I was a race car mechanic.

He's a Yard Hand (washes cars, delivers them, dogs body type work) for our local Mitsubishi dealer. We both love cars!

We're both from large families, I'm the youngest of 6, with 30-odd nieces and nephews, and I'm a Great Aunty 7 times over with 2 cooking. He's half Italian and has lots of cousins! Hence we are doing the quickie wedding at the Registry Office!

I'm not sure what else to write, as it's 4AM here in Melbourne, Australia!

Hi, my name is Rachael, and I am new here. I just turned 25 in July, and my DH will turn 25 in January. My husband and I just got married in June, but we have been together the majority of the last 7 years. We have one rabbit named Cooper who is 2 lbs. We moved to Oklahoma a year ago where DH took a job as an engineer. I am half way through my 2nd master’s and am a nanny part time.

I have one sister and DH has one brother, neither of which are even married, so we will be the first to have kids. I have a really large extended family who I am very close to. My dad is one of 7 and my grandmother was one of 8. My great grandparents are still alive, and I would love to have my child be born before either of them pass away.

We are waiting to try to conceive until May 2013. My oldest cousin after me graduates high school in June and I did not want to be too pregnant on the 14 hour drive there. Plus, I will be switching to DH insurance in May, and (to my shock) pregnancy is considered a pre-existing condition and the new insurance would not cover it! Better to wait and have it covered, sadly!

I have literally wanted children since I was about 5 years old. I have had true baby fever since I was 13 or earlier. I know many people think I am crazy, but I have already bought some stuff (mainly clothes and books) for when we do have a child, and have been collecting since I was in high school. It’s just what I do.

Anyway, I would really love to make some friends on here!

I'm Amanda, 33 from Shropshire. Been with OH for 5 years and we dicussed starting a family earlier on this year.
I took my last pill last month and am waiting for a "natural" period to start. As soon as I came off the pill I started taking a conception multivitamin so now it's just waiting! I'm not good at waiting!

My name is Emma, i'm 22 and WTT to TTC our first baby.

My partner is James, 20 (nearly 21) and we have been together for two years.

We live together in a two bedroom house in a quiet village and have been here since March. We have two (soon to be three) cats who are my babies currently!

We are WTT until May 2013, Our reasons for WTT are that we are...

• Waiting to pay off the creditcard.
• Waiting to increase our savings (around £2000)
• Waiting for my payrise!
• Waiting for OH to turn 21.

Had lots of comments from people saying that we are too young to be looking at having children but we are in a better position than many of my older colleagues, this is not a willy-nilly decision - My mum and my grandma took a long time to conceive every time they tried and I am expecting similar for me so i feel that it's in our best interest to start soon.

I am feeling very impatient at the minute (hence joining this forum) as many of my colleagues, family members and friends are either pregnant or have just had a baby... Very frustrating! This site is helping me pass the time lol!

Coming out of long-time lurkdom to post this!

I'm annabananas (not my real name ) and I'm 26, Mr AB is 29 and we've been together for 8 years and married for 2. We live in Wales with our lovely little doggy.

Currently WTT due to saving for a house deposit and also due to wanting to travel really. We both love going on holidays and breaks, and I would love a couple more big holidays (like Japan and California) before TTC. DH worries about the practicalities like finances, so we'd like to save a bit first too.

The ideal time for us to conceive would be September 2014 as hopefully we'll have bought our house this time next year and done it up, and also I get bonuses in work each May so it would be ideal to work around these as the extra money would be handy whilst on maternity leave. BUT I know TTC isn't something you can plan like that, although it would be nice! By then we would be 28 and 31, and hopefully in a stable financial position.

It feels really strange to be typing this out for the first time anywhere! Sometimes I feel ready now, and sometimes I don't - especially when looking at places I'd like to visit! On one hand Sept 2014 seems so far away, but when you're talking about having a baby, it seems so close!

Hi everyone! DH and I have been married for just under 4 and a half years. Our fur baby Odie is the biggest teddy bear and loves his cuddles. We adopted him shortly after our first anniversary

One goal that we have set for ourselves before we TTC is to purchase our first house. We were close to that a couple years ago but then my husband lost his job and well, the house got put on the back burner. We are on track so that hopefully in about a year we are purchasing and moving into the house and are going to TTC right away when that happens. We also want to pay off our vehicles which should also happen in about a year from now.

I have my broody days and I have my days of am I really ready for this but I know that it will be our turn soon. I keep busy between work, video games and crocheting so I have plenty of distractions.

Anyways, that's my story. Hopefully the next year goes by quickly

My name is Emily (22) and my OH name is Oli (23) and we have been together for nearly 3 1/2 years. We live near Cambridge, UK, I am a nanny and he is a trainee electrician.

We are WTT for a number of reasons- waiting til OH qualifies in a year or so, we would like to buy a house first, and preferably have some money saved up first. I have just paid off the last of my debt and am on my way to learning to drive and buying a car. Then its n with saving for a deposit for a house! Plus OH isnt ready yet. Oh, and we would also like to see the world a bit more, if money allows us!

Oli has mentioned that the earliest he would try for a LO is when he turns 24- so thats the date that I have my sights set on!! (Even tho itll probably be later than that)

Looking for some friends on here to keep me company while I wait.

Hi ladies! My name is Keely and my fiance's name is Colin. I'm turning 21 on Friday and he's turning 27 next month. We're getting married June 22, 2013. We thought we were pregnant this month because I got my ovulation dates wrong. We hadn't really been trying to conceive at that point and were starting to try the "natural family planning" approach instead of hormonal birth control but once we found out about the possibility we got our hopes up. Then I got hit by AF today and we were both pretty disappointed. However we decided it might be best to wait until June to start TTC again. If we did then we might get that on our wedding day. ;D
We may get impatient and try before that, but we'll see. We're both really excited to become parents. We're hoping for a little girl first and then a boy, but of course we'll be happy with what we get. We're not sure if we'll want any more than two at this point yet.

Hey girls. I am joining you all. I am 26 and my OH is nearly 23. We have been together nearly 4 years. He doesn't want children yet.

We always said ideally before we got pregnant we wanted to:-

- Have secure jobs/careers
- own a house
- be married
- have savings

Well we both have decent careers now, we have bought our first property and we have some savings and will have a decent amount by the time a baby came along. So the only thing missing is the marriage and he doesn't want that to happen for a few years.

So waiting until he gives the go-ahead now x

Thanks to this forum, we have decided to wait a bit longer and me not to be a pregnant bride...

In a nutshell, my partner and are 28, been together 5 years and getting married August 2013. We are hoping to TTC #1 shortly after getting married - a few months to do up the house with any wedding money, and hopefully TTC Dec 2013! I am so excited and think about it every day - I am just wishing the months away!

Well, our wedding date changed to September 13, 2013 (I know, I'm probably going to receive a lot of flack for getting married on Friday the 13th, but it's always been a lucky day for me and my mother even laughed and told me that she always imagined me picking September 13th to get married for whatever reason.). I really hope that we don't have to change it again, it's getting frustrating not having a permanent date set. ):
We're thinking that we'll start trying to conceive in June of 2014 (we really want a spring or summer baby). Then we'll have plenty of time to save and to also just be a married couple for a little while.
