WTT for #1 thread

I'm gong to start ttc with my DB this summer. Excited, nervous and a little scared!!

Hello Everyone,

I am Brittney, I am 23 and my hubby is 30. I work an investment company and DH is a chef. We have been together for 3 1/2 years and married for 2 years in April and we live in Massachusetts, USA. We just bought a house in November and are still working toward updating and getting used to being homeowners. We spend a lot of time in the winter up in the mountains snowboarding, DH loves the snow even though he is from Brazil!

We are waiting to TTC until August 2013 because i wanted to get a little more established in my job (only been a licensed broker since june '12) as well as we are finishing the process of getting a greencard for DH. I'm so excited to make new friends that are waiting just like me...sometimes i drive myself crazy researching all about pregnancy! I am naturally a planner so this is extremely hard for me to think about not really having much control over the process of having a baby. I am currently focusing my energy on dropping 15-20lbs and teaching myself a little more patience.

Hi, I am 36 and my DH is 45. We are TTC #1. I work in Clearwater, FL at an IT distributor and DH works at HSN in St. Pete. He has a 22 year old daughter now. I hope this doesn't take too long because I know as we get older, the harder it is. I have 1 cat, Dino. I am currently in that 2WW, but i do not expect this to happen in the first month of trying, that would be a huge surprise if it did! I am not charting or temping or anything. This is our 1st month trying, so maybe in 1 or 2 cycles if nothing happens, i will buy an OPK. We will see. I don't want to stress about it and obsess over symptoms.

Good luck to you all!!! :)

Karenfla - wrong thread! This is for people who are waiting to try, dear! You can find the ttc #1 thread in the trying to conceive forum.

Hi there. I'm 29 and so is my DH, who I've been married to for 2.5 years. I'm working as a teacher in secondary education in the Netherlands.

In the beginning of January '13 I had my IUD removed (after over 12 years of bc) just to get everything 'started up' again. After using IUDs for over 7 years and in that time not being visited once by af, I was sort of getting nervous... Fortunately, everything appears to be in working order, but I'm now monitoring cycle a bit for future reference...

We're also in the process of building our own house which will hopefully be finished in Dec '13 , and although I already have two degrees (one teaching degree and one master's) I am planning to finish my next degree in Dec '13. This means that it would be really unhelpful to give birth before that time. So we're waiting a little while longer, although we're not being particularly careful either...

I am in this same boat! Not sure when to get mirena IUD taken out - don't want to get pregnant too soon, but once it is go time, it's go time, you know what I mean?

Hi all!
I'm 22 and the bf is 23. Marriage and babies have been a hot topic between us for a while, but since I was diagnosed with stage four endo in January we have decided to fast forward ttc in hopes that I may be able to conceive naturally. We are somewhere in between WTT and NTNP until I have my lap procedure done and track a couple of cycles. I went from not even knowing how long my cycles were to noting every little detail of my cycle in a matter of a few weeks, so this is all very new to me. We live in Washington DC. BF works for a non-profit and I am finishing up my degree while working as a full-time nanny. I just started charting as suggested by my obgyn, and want to try temping next cycle. I'm currently not sure if I even ovulate every cycle, or at all! We're in the 2ww right now, but I'm not very optimistic about this cycle as we weren't trying. I'm very anxious about moving forward and actively ttc hopefully in April 2013!

Hi everyone! I'm Tori, and I'm 23, happily married to Dan, also 23. We are coming up on our second wedding anniversary on April 23 of this year. It's the first year we actually have spent all holidays and birthdays together! Dan is an active duty Marine, and he will be leaving the Marine Corps in just 4 weeks, where we will move to be with family until we both find jobs. I'm an Elementary school teacher and I love it! I can't wait to get my own classroom back home in the suburbs of Philadelphia. We are currently at a point where we don't mind if I continue BC or not, and I plan to start charting starting tomorrow. I just took my last NuvaRing out today after being on BC for 6 years. I'm very worried about the transition in our life that is about to take place, but excited for civilian life. As soon as we have settled and either of us has a job with benefits, we will start trying! I would love a May-July baby, so I don't have to take much (if any at all) maternity leave!

Hi,

I'm Kiki and I'm new here! My husband and I have been married for over 2 years now and we're planning to TTC starting this June/July! I'm so excited and while hubby has been patient with all the baby talk so far, I'm hoping this forum will be the place where I can share my baby dreams :p :D

Hiii everyone! My name is Brittany, I'll be 25 in June. My fiance just turned 31 in January. We are currently engaged but we have been together almost 2 years. We live together & we're planning to buy a home in the summer, along with waiting to conceive our 1st in July! I've always wanted a Spring baby, I love being outside, swimming, pool party get togethers with family & friends plus I won't have to worry about the cold getting to my baby, they can wear cute spring/summer clothes. It feels SOOO far away :( Glad I'm not the only one!

Nice to meet you ALL & baby dust to all of you for this summer :)

Hello everyone! We are waiting to start trying to for our first in Aug 2014. It's a really long way off but I'm in school and we want to wait until I'm closer to graduate so that my due date will be after graduation in May 2015. Glad to meet other people waiting to start trying for their first!

Hi all-my partner and I are waiting to try for our first in the summer of 2015 (hopefully sooner but I doubt it). We simply aren't at a good spot in our lives right now to have a baby but the clock is ticking since my partner wants to give birth to a baby herself and she is turning 32 in a few weeks! This has given us that extra push to get our life in order so we are saving up, moving on our own and hopefully will be ready for that baby in 2015/2016. It's so nice to see others on here that want a baby as much as we do and are waiting! :D

Hi all!

I'm brand spankin' new here! I've been with my OH for almost 3 years and until I met him I thought I would NEVER want kids... I guess that's what real love does to ya hehe. So recently we have been casually talking about a having baby in a few years, but we very recently had a pregnancy scare. After that we decided that we are going to start trying very soon. I'm 31 and I'm afraid if we wait too long *this* is all going to dry up. haha. :)

We are not going to start trying until about sept or oct of this year. Since the beginning of this year have been dropping weight like it's hot, but I want to lose another 40-50 lbs - I want to be healthy in general, plus I don't want to put my baby/myself at risk for complications. I also know it will help with fertility and TTC.

We also want to move to a house (currently in a duplex sitch) with a yard for our extremely beloved doggle (our practice-baby, as I call her) before a baby comes also.

I'm really excited and I cannot wait, but I'm trying to remain patient. In the mean time I scour the web and research obsessively about pregnancy and TTC. I'm learning a lot but I'm hoping to learn some more and have some support along the way.

P.S. - I'm also secretly hoping for twins - they run in both of our families. I know, I'm crazy. :winkwink:

Hey folks,

I'm very new to this site. Recently, i stumbled upon it while trying to figure out symptoms while me and my bf were in the midst of a 'scare'. I was previously on The Pill but after a strangely late period, I was late starting my next pack. I knew that there was a chance of getting pregnant. My LMP was dec 11 and I'm still waiting for it after 3 BFN and negative bloodwork. I had some nausea, constipation, burping spells (lol), very tired the list goes on, which have all kind of subsided. With trying to figure all this out we started saying that the symtoms were maybe just the flu, slowly turning into our little code word for being preggo, hence the username.
Through all this me and my partner have realized that we wanted to have a baby more than we thought and he even said he wants to TTC soon. I have decided not to restart The Pill after all that I've read now and hoping to start tracking my cycles. Not too sure how 'safe' we want to be quite yet. Just waiting for AF to show back up and get back on track.
All in all we are WTT because I am 3 months away from graduating from my BSc in Nursing, planning to be debt free in the summer, we'd prefer to be married before having a LO, he wants to get another term of his apprenticeship done and we are really trying to buy a house before Xmas 2013! We have friends who are TTC in April and I hope we're not too far behind. Maybe expecting in early 2014!

I hope to get to know my way around this amazing sights and maybe meet a few ppl in the same boat!!

We are in a similar boat! We also made the decision after a "scare", to have a baby. Funny how you never know what you want until you realize you don't have it... if that makes sense. haha. Good luck to you!

Hello all. I joined WTT because I have just had my implant removed to get an idea of my cycle and ovulation days so that we are ready for June time for ttc. I am on a fixed term contract at the moment but returning to my previous permenant job shortly to get full maternity benefits which is the main reason for WTT and we want to move house to accomodate an LO as there really isn't enough space here. I've been married around a 1 1/2 years and been with my OH for 8 years.

We were very anti babies until one of my closest friends had a baby and we dote on him. I am also getting on a bit (mid thirities) and felt that time would start to become an issue so it's kind of now or never. We have got some genetic issues to deal with as well which will make the process that much harder so we have to get on with it really!

Hiya, I'm from the East of England and have been with my partner since August 2010.
Last year we were waiting to view a new build flat and my OH said we would consider a 1 bed place, but would prefer a 2 bed place. I was confused, and tired after spending the day at work (and it'd been a muggy day) and asked why since we were just desperate to move somewhere else, and he announced he'd like us to start trying to have children.
Well, we viewed the flat, it's a 1 bedroom flat, quite spacious and we accepted it so now we're saving up to move somewhere bigger so we can actually start trying!

October last year, however, I decided I'd had enough of being messed about by asthma nurse and GP who decided to put me on Cerazette back in 2011. I complained of periods lasting upto 8 weeks on it, so the GP put me on Micronor. In September last year, I felt terrible. Acne, bloating, sore breasts for every period - which was every two weeks and heavy. So October came, I had just started my period and just stopped the Micronor. I had had enough.

My period then stopped a couple of days later, and my menstruation then became regular - every 28-30 days. I'm so much happier now, and we're using condoms

Anyways - Hiya from me! :happydance:

Hello all,

Great to see this post going strong and all the support on b&b for those of us who are playing the waiting game. My name is Casey (aka deductivemom) and I have been with DH for 6 years now, married for about 2 and a half. We are both graduate students, so now is not the right time, but I can't wait until we are ready to start a family. TTC probably won't be on the table until at least Jan 2015, so in the meantime I am looking for outlets to express my enthusiasm. Glad to see there is a community here that is just as eager to talk about conception, pregnancy, and babies as I am!

Hi all. I'm new and thought I should probably introduce myself around here. I'm a 20 year old Australian gal. My OH is 19, almost 20. We are both currently doing apprenticeships, Mine being hairdressing which I finish in September. OH is plastering which he finishes in just over a year. I plan to go off the pill mid-july meaning we will conceive hopefully between September or October.

I've just joined to get insight to other ladies wtt and ttc lives. And a little about what to expect.

Hi everyone. I'm Laura, DP is Amy. We are a lesbian couple who were TTC for a year with a donor, but we're now taking a break until October because of a planned holiday to Florida. When we start again DP will be trying instead of me and we will be using a new donor
