WTT for #1 thread

Hello

I'm 0203, you prob havn't seen me on here before because i was being a recluse and only sticking to my subscribed threads and my journal...no idea why....came on the WTT forum today and it was full of people i have never "met" before, so i thought i would reintroduce myself because it would be great to get to know some more people :)

I am wtt my first, i don't really have a ttc date yet, up until a couple of days ago it was in october 2013 but me and OH had a big long talk and decided to bring it forward, we really want to get married first so we are waiting to work out our finances and then we will be able to get a ttc date :)

:flower:

Hi everyone :)

My name is Cath and me and my OH are 23 and have been together 3 and a half years (approx) and been engaged since July :). We live in East Sussex, UK and both of us work as customer service agents in insurance but for different companies.

We are WTT mainly cause of financial issues. We want to be 100% debt free and have a clean slate before we TTC. Almost like a fresh start. I can't wait till we can TTC. Am super super broody!

Look forward to getting to know you all. You will all prob come to realise I ramble a lot  xx

Have we spoken before? DH and I are both from Hastings, but live in Canterbury now. :)

I may have crossed paths with you before ...going to take a look at your journal :) x

:hugs: Welcome!!! :D We're similar - our date was October 2012, but, after an eventful weekend, our TTC date might be before or after then. :)

:hugs: hi :) how come your date changed? good for you :)

i saw that you used to live in Hastings....i live in Eastbourne :haha:

My bezzie bezzie mate of all time lives in Eastbourne. :) Us Sussex WTT girls should stick together. :hugs:

EDIT - I didn't answer your question! My husband was training to be a teacher this year, but he decided over the weekend that it wasn't for him and has withdrawn from the course. Now he feels as if there's a big black hole in front of him, because he doesn't know what sort of career he wants. However, he can get a full-time job in the meantime (anything - or maybe two part-time jobs), and we can start TTC while he figures it out. :)

I will introduce myself now lol
My name is Sam and I have been with my OH for nearly 7 years now. We have been engaged for two - did think about getting married in 2013 but looking at how much it would cost,we decided to wait and think about babies first.
I live in Leicestershire in the East Midlands. Me and OH have stable full-time jobs(although I will be looking for a better job in the New Year,I will hopefully find one before I get pregnant!)We are on ok wages but after the mortgage, petrol and bills have come out we are not great.

Our current reasons for WTT is because I have been suffering with stress and depression over the past few months, thank god I am recovering but I am wanting to sort myself out before having a child (I had alot of issues with my own mum, whcih resulted in me losing out alot on my own childhood) ,I want to try and take the next year doing somethings I missed out on,letting go of some responsibility and have some fun!
I also want to get my own business working from home as a counsellor off the ground, and save up some cash along the way.

Its so lovely to connect with you all, looking forward to going through the journey with you all xxxx

Hi everyone :flower:...sorry i'm a little late joining but i LOVE this new thread!! thanks beeLT  and so glad to hear your doc appt went well. Im Emily, I'm 23 tomorrow (hehe!) and hubby is 23 in april (toyboy i know lol). we are childhood sweethearts and have been together for 7 and a half years, married since july 2nd this year and have a gorgeous dog called Toby who will be one in January. i've been veggie for about 15 years and although hubby isnt actually veggie i do all the cooking and wont cook comething seperate so he mostly eats veggie but does have his sausage rolls and haribo etc! my dad (confirmed carnivore!) always teases that the dog eats better than hubby.

i have always been desperate for children but we were wtt for several reasons- for me to finish my degree, both have good jobs, to buy a house and to get married. i graduated in 2010, we both have good jobs, we are now married. i decided if i was waiting for us to save for a house deposit then i'd be waiting forever, so we do live together in a gorgeous but rented house in an area we love right by the beach in south wales. hubby always a bit more reluctant about ttc mostly because of finances and wanting to have everything sorted out first, and then suddenly out of the blue announced we are good to go and he was happy to ttc! the only remaining reason wtt is that i work in a school and it works out much better if i wait unti december. after so many long years wtt i cannot believe its only a month away now :happydance:! So glad i found this wtt forum..been stuck in ttc forums feeling horribley out of place but just wanting to talk to someone:shrug:.

Teacup- my hubby always saying 'you're on there AGAIN??!!' but he has kind of just accepted it now as it means he can play on his xbox (sad i know lol). i feel silly but i dont like him reading what we're all saying so try and descreetly turn the screen lol! :haha:

Nightdaze- wish i could be a bit more like that, and accept that plans can be fluid! i'm totally NOT like that and get quite freaked out if things have to change ! maybe i'll have to make a conscious effort to be more go with the flow and put my lists and notepads away...

Kittiecat- as i'm sure you've all by now realised i tend to ramble as well!!! :dohh:

MacBabby- ditto re the house deposit things are quite rediculous at the mo!! i came off microgynon about 7 months ago after 6 years and went straight back to normal cycles. in fact better and more regular than i ever was before i went on it! just started with folic acid about a month or so ago.

Sam- so pleased for you that you're recovering. it is hard but theres lots of ladies on here who have been in similar positions and can offer support when/if you need it. fx things keep going up! x

Sorry for this essay of a reply... as i've already said i do ramble !!
Lovely 'meeting' you all :hugs: and looking forward to sharing journies with you lovely ladies :winkwink:xxxx

Hi EmilyCJ- Thank you for your kind message, its lovely to connect with you on here. Its not long for you now looking at your ticker! xx take care

Aaaaahhhh EmilyCJ...I don't mind a rambler (a kind hearted one). This is so random but you remind me of my best friend Claire! :friends:
It feels strange reading that you're 23 and have been waiting for years to ttc. You're very lucky that you found 'the one' so early in life. All the best to you in December x

Aww that's sweet :hugs: (i hope i'm a kind hearted one!) Claire must be lovely hehe :haha:

i know..we're very lucky :happydance:. couldn't imagine it any different! think we're so close because we have pretty much grown up together and experienced everything together. my dad made us all laugh in his father of bride speech because he joked about who would have guessed the 14 yr old boy turned up on the doorstep with lots of curly red hair and a football would end up his son in law :dohh:! xxxx

Hi! I'm sweetmere.

My husband and I started dating in April of 2008 and have been married since July. I'm ready to be a mother but he wants to start TTC in March. He thinks we are broke even though our savings account is outrageous. He is a tightwad, which usually is a great thing! lol

We have a hyper, silly cat that we absolutely adore. We love scary movies, The Office, and The League. We are also addicted to The Walking Dead and An American Horror Story. We love to play golf together.

We will cloth diaper and if possible, breastfeed. I can't wait, and I'm excited to get to know everyone!

Hi Ladies!

I think I have crossed paths with almost all of you so far, but for some reason I just noticed this thread!!!

I am a high school science and biology teacher in British Columbia, and I have been with my DH for almost 8 years :)

We bought our house about 2.5 years ago, got married about 1.5 years ago and have been waiting for the 'right' time to become parents! We both feel ready and excited, and we are taking the leap in January!!!

It's getting SOOOO close!

:munch:

:hi:
My name is Butterfly

I am 23 and my DH is 30, we have been married for 4 months! We both want :baby: but just waiting for the right time! Hopefully as soon as I am entitled to materity pay :haha:

I am glad this thread has been pinned now!! I can get up to date :happydance:!!

Looking forward to getting to know you all :flower:

Hello everyone :wave::wave:

I'm Pusscat and I've been a regular lurker and sometimes poster on Bnb for a few months now. Not too long left for me in WTT, we will be TTC in January or possibly December, depending on how my dates work out. My main reason for waiting is that I've got things I want to do in August and don't want to be with tiny baby at that point! We've got tickets to the Olympics and also one of my best friends is getting married, and don't want to be going in to labour at either event! So it would be most sensible to WTT until January as I know due dates are only a rough guide.

I live in Leicestershire - so same as you Sam121 :flower:

Been married for 4 years and together for 8 years. Met DH in first year of university so really feel like we've grown up into the real world together. We bought our house 2 years ago and have 4 bedrooms so PLENTY of room for a little one or 2

We're both in good jobs. I'm a primary school teacher and my class this year is really nice so I think I'd be able to cope being pregnant and still teaching them. Last year my class were very challenging (to use the politically correct term!!) and I don't think I could have coped with being pregnant as well!

We're both really ready for a LO. DH is often talking about when we have a baby we can do this or that and I think sometimes he's more excited about it than I am. LO will be the first grandchild for both sets of parents so can't wait to be able to announce it to them :happydance:

Hello! just had to reply because so many things you said describe me!! we've been together 8 years (since school) so have grown up into the real world together too. I'm also a primary teacher (reception) and at the minute only have 13 children in my class!! making the most of it before the january intake ! also love your use of the word 'challenging'...was covering for teacher next door to me this week and there's a few 'challenging' ones in there!! and finally our little one with be the first grandchild on both sides and i'm so excited about telling them all! my mother in law quite young when she had my hubby and went a bit off the rails so his nan played a big part in his upbringing so they're very close and i'm really looking forward to telling her we're having a baby. she couldnt stop crying at our wedding a few months ago so i daresay it'll be much the same!! sadly i have no nanas of my own left :nope: but my mum will be bouncing off the walls with excitement. she spoils our puppy rotten so goodness knows what she'll be like with a grandchild!! xxxx
ps. we've got a lovely demember thread if you fancy joining us there too

Welcome!! :flower:

Oh yeah, our LO will be both sets of parents' first grandchild too! DH and I are both first-borns. :)
