WTT for #1 thread

Hi everyone in WTT! I'm jbell or Jess. I'm 25 and my OH is 31. We have been married for a year and a half but together for over 5 years. I am so happy to find this forum as I have felt alone in my baby craze for so long. All of my friends are either younger, unmarried or done having kids and my husbands friends are all divorced  lol. So it's just me and my husband and our over precautionary, over planning, OCD selves.

We are the only people we know who are married, have a home and are WTT having children. I'm the first in 3 generations of my family to do this and we are so "proud" of ourselves (tongue in cheek). :winkwink:

I'm a teacher and my husband works for a company in Atlanta. We have already decided on names for boys but we have no idea what we would name a little girl if we had one. I'm a super reader and love information so I'm trying to soak up as much as I can before we TTC.

It's very nice to find a forum of ladies going through the same predicament as I am. It is difficult when you want a baby but aren't quite ready. Hopefully we can all find support and WTT buddies and in no time have a LO that will take up so much of our time we forget about what its like to surf a forum all day. lol :coffee:

I look forward to chatting with you all and being a part of the journey we all go on to get to our TTC month! Nice meeting you all!

Hi! I'm sweetmere.

My husband and I started dating in April of 2008 and have been married since July. I'm ready to be a mother but he wants to start TTC in March. He thinks we are broke even though our savings account is outrageous. He is a tightwad, which usually is a great thing! lol

We have a hyper, silly cat that we absolutely adore. We love scary movies, The Office, and The League. We are also addicted to The Walking Dead and An American Horror Story. We love to play golf together.

We will cloth diaper and if possible, breastfeed. I can't wait, and I'm excited to get to know everyone!

Had to reply as my husband and I love golf and my husband is also a total tightwad lol. We also love The League as well as it is so hilarious! Congrats on your wedding in July and good luck in your countdown to March!

Hi jbell157:wave: I'm a big reader too and have learnt so much already from reading TTC books. I would definitely recommend Taking Charge of Your Fertility if you haven't read it already. Hoping my new knowledge will mean we conceive quickly!

Do you have a date when you plan to TTC?

Yes. I think we are going to start trying in June 2012! We are super excited as it will be my and my husband's families first grandchild. How about you?

I've not got too long to wait - might be next month or maybe January. My main thing is that I'd love a September baby so having to work out when would be best to ttc!

There's no grandchildren on either side of the family for me too and none of my uncles or aunties have children so it's going to be a big announcement when I tell the family we're pregnant! So exciting!

Hi Ladies

Thought I would pop in here and say hi!!

We are currently WTT with a view of TTC in Dec, so very excited if a little scared as it will be our first!

We have been married since Aug 2010 and have had a lovely year of married bliss so far, looking forward to making our family grow! :)

Hi all!
I have seen this thread for awhile but have been so busy and have never gotten around to introducing myself :dohh:
Im Courtney, 18, and am currently studying midwifery in NZ (where i was born). I still live at home but in the new year, me and OH are looking to move out and in together which will be really nice :)
We have one kitten, Charlie, who lives with me and is so funny (also stressful at times but we won't go there today :haha:)
I am WTT December 2014.. a loooooong way away, mainly so that I can finish my degree without having a baby to care for. My last year in the degree will be 2013, and after my final exam, me and OH are getting married (January 2014)- I can't wait one bit! And if it were up to me, we would be TTC as soon as the honeymoon begins, but OH wants some time to be "married" first, which is fair enough.
So until then, I will be here sitting, waiting and fighting the urge!! Will be exciting to follow all your journeys though, and to watch all of you move onto TTC, and then getting your BFP, and then reading your birth stories eeeek im getting so excited just thinking about it!!!!!! :happydance:
Anyways, this is me( this post has pretty much summed up my wtt journal haha) :flower: xx

Hello ladies :hi:

It's great that you ladies are getting everything sorted in preparation for your LO's which i wish had been the case for me but i take my hat off to you girls it must not be easy but you can all do it!
xx

Hi everyone, I'm Jo, I'm 30 and live on the very edge of Cambridgeshire. I've been with my OH for about 3 1/2 years and I've been WTT for what feels like forever! A couple of weeks ago OH finally gave us the ok to a tentative date of Easter 2012! I'm massively excited!

We've been waiting to try and get our lives sorted out before we try. I finally got my divorce this summer, he's got himself a new job and next up is moving from our tiny little flat into a house which should be March. We have to wait to find out if OH's job becomes permanent (almost certain it will be) as he's currently only on loan, which we'll also know in March, then I can come off the pill!

I'm really nervous about it all as I may or may not have pcos (I have loads of symptoms but the consultant wouldn't commit to a diagnosis, but did treat me for it!?!). I think i've read too much about the problems it can cause keeping a sticky bean, so that really worries me. OH just says not to worry as that'll make everything worse - he's so laid back! It has made me think a lot about when I would let people know if I get lucky. Especially as I have to travel abroad a lot for work. Guess I'll just have to play it by ear!

I'm also a bit overweight as is OH, but we're working on it! I started taking Folic acid this week and I want to try and do some Pilates to try and strengthen my back in preparation.

I think that's about everything! Oh and we have a little fur baby - a little dwarf hamster called Emerson, he's wonderful!

Hello Jo! :hi: Welcome. I'm thinking about getting a hamster soon! I just worry about it getting ill or something, I would get sad if that happened! How long have you had Emerson?

I am back on the forum (think my last post was around Mid Oct) Hope all you ladies are well. I just thought I'd let y'all know that I got engaged! :happydance: My OH proposed to me while we were on holiday. Wedding is booked already! :cloud9: As of October next year we can finally start trying for #1! :baby:

Hello everyone,

I am currently WTTC my first. DH and I have been married about 2 years, and have been together for 6.5 years. We were originally waiting to try until my husband found a job, that took well over a year. He finally found a job, but we now have an international vacation booked. We are waiting to start trying until after we return from our trip.

I hope to get to learn from and and provide support to many of you!

That's ace that you already have a date booked, you'll be getting married just after me! How exciiiiiiiting!

Yayyy! Thank you! :happydance: I can't wait! I'm growing my hair longer and am going to try to lose a bit of flab off my tummy I want to look good for our big day! :flower:

hello! :hi:
Im kim and ive been with my OH for just over a year, and we have been living together for 7 months :D
i am soo ready for baby making, (just need to iron out a few creases in the finances!) but OH wants to wait untill june/july until we start.
We will have to find a new place to rent in march, where i can hopefully get a cat! :happydance: i love cats, and feel like my a house is not a home without a pet.
i would also love to be engaged before we start ttc ideally, but OH wants me to love a few pounds before he'll marry me.... :growlmad: which i think is unfair!
maybe after christmas i'll start a diet!

Hi Teacup!

Congratulations! That's fab news!

We got Emerson a few days before the royal wedding, but we think he's about 9 months. He's so lovely, I know I'll be absolutely devastated when he reaches the end of his life, but he's brought us so much joy too.

We had a bit of a scare a few weeks ago as he really wasn't himself and we had to take him to the vet - turns out he had a uti. He's all better now and running about like normal :)
