That nurse was out of line. I agree with Bella - make a list of questions and concerns for next week, and do not leave that appt until every one has been addressed.

So sorry you've had to deal with a crap nurse on top of the stress.

amytrisha: You will no doubt get a good sleeper this time! I think it is better to have your more challeging sleeper first. I will no doubt have a toddler and a baby that doesn't want to sleep hahahaha!

apaki: They don't know for sure what is going to happen and shouldn't have said "wait to miscarry" rather she should have said gently your chances of miscarry may be higher. Stay positive hon! My friend was pregnant the same time as me with DS (with her second) and she bleed lots, red blood with clots, up until 16 weeks! They said she would miscarry, now she has a 18 month old. Praying you hear a heart beat next week

I had my OB app this morning- just got home from it. She ultrasounded me and I saw bub (or a jellybean that is meant to be bub), and a heartbeat! I measured 7w4d which puts me as 21st March which is spot on from my LMP. I am not going for the dating scan next week, as she saw clearly enough today. My 12 week scan is 9/9 . My OB said if I am concerned at all I can pop into the rooms and they will scan me for reassurance prior to 9/9.

We saw a heartbeat!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so relieved. The baby seems to be on track. There's still the hematoma which may cause a miscarriage but they said it reduces greatly after the first trimester as the hematoma usually gets absorbed into the cervix. I've been told not to worry a lot unless I have very heavy bleeding which hopefully I won't. Next proper scan is the 21st and I'm really looking forward to seeing my tiny little bean again!
