April Dewdrops 2019

With my first I bought stuff starting at 6 weeks. This time I have held off because I feel it will be more exciting having waited so long then finding it and it will be fun to go shopping. Plus I'm very gender specific. If it's a boy I want eberything very boyish and girl very girly! Aside from carseats etc I like that just plain black lol. We haven't bought s single thing but hopefully that change tomorrow!! Ekk!!

I had an early gender scan with my son and him being a boy was very obvious! The place I'm going using a super high tech machine and has tons and tons of amazing reviews! I feel confident it will go well. If they don't feel it's clear enough they have you come back in a week free of charge! So tomorrow we might know what we're having!!

I've been buying some gender neutral stuff. Like new bibs since none survived my daughter. We have mainly girl clothes so I have to sort through those to find what little gender neutral we have. Especially because I'm still set on not finding out. I have a feeling it's another girl though but I could be entirely wrong. Either way, if its a girl we just need to throw in a wash of DDs old clothes and if it's a boy then my parents and in-laws have already admitted that they'll be obsessively buying new clothes a day later. The big things that I'm buying are cloth diapers since that's something I want to do with this one but didn't with DD.

I have been slowly buying used items on Facebook Marketplace. I found great deals on a Pack N Play, My Brest Friend (breastfeeding pillow), and a Boppy lounger. The big purchase was a jogging stroller that I fell in love with at BuyBuyBaby - new for over $400 and found used for $100. It was super clean and in great condition, but I still detailed it in the garage and coated the tires in Tire Shine!

Today's major splurge was a Jujube BFF diaper bag that I've been shopping for used, narrowed down to 2-3 prints that I love. Used bags still go for $60-$100. There is one print on Amazon for $89, which is about half the price of the other prints! I scored an "open box" deal on it for $73, meaning it's just missing tags and original packaging, but still comes with the Jujube lifetime warranty. Woohoo!!!

I spend about an hour a week on our registry, leaving most of the electronic purchases (swing, monitor, nightlight with sounds) to buy or receive new, as well as the car seat and cutsie things that family members love to buy. I'm currently researching wraps, slings, and carriers. There is SO much to figure out!

We are moving 3-4 months after baby is born, so I'm keeping purchases to only what we need for those first few months. No crib, furniture, etc.

Hi Ladies hope you are all well!
Haven't been on for a while have been so busy at work!

Had out private gender scan today and we are team pink!! We are so excited to have 1 of each!

Anxiously awaiting the news babyvaughan <3

Congrats Gray!!! :pink:

Baby Vaughan is a BOY!! I have tons of pictures of baby and a video of the whole scan! I will share a cute photo in just a bit!

Congratulations Vaughan!! How exciting! Did you have any guesses as to the gender before your scan?

How has everyone been feeling? I had a bit of a sciatic flair up last few days, but went for acupuncture and that seemed to help!

Otherwise I also have been slowly picking up things. We got a good deal on a crib and dresser set so we just went for it. My MIL also got us a used stroller at an amazing price. That's all for now. I'll wait till after our scan at 18 weeks for other things.

No! This pregnancy was totally different from my first with my son so it made me wonder if it could be a girl for that reason but I'm very happy it's another boy! We just went shopping for some clothes!

I said I thought I felt movement at 12 weeks well it was left corner of my lower stomach and when at my scan his little feet were there and so I really was feeling those tiny little fluttery kicks!

Gosh I haven't had a proper sit down to read this thread in ages! I've read the latest posts.

Angel - I'm crossing everything in hopes that your placenta moves! :hugs:
Everyone who's had gender scans, congrats! How wonderful! We find out in 2 days, I'll be 17 weeks exactly, so exciting. DH has a stressful job so he had to work a lot last week, so I had to wait a bit longer. I'll definitely buy baby's first outta-the-hospital outfit when we know, because with DD we didn't know and have genderneutral first outfits LOL.

Sorry to hear many of you are struggling with backpain. I hear ya. Mine's awful. My OB diagnosed me with sciatica, which is a literal pain in the ass, and it flared up really badly a weekend ago, to the point where I couldn't get up from my seat and had a cry, but it's on and off and that makes it doable. Extra self-care and exercise helps. I'm sleeping with my huge curly nursing/pregnancy pillow and that's helpful too.
I wake up with a headache every morning. Never had that with DD.
Other than that I'm doing well!

Loving everyone's bump pics! I'm insecure about mine. I'm HUGE already. I had a huge belly with DD too and at some point the "are you sure there's not 2 in there" comments just stopped being funny. I'm at the point where I have to learn to love my belly.
I'm proud of myself for gaining only 3kg in 16,5 weeks. I was overweight before pregnant, and with DD I think I already gained 6kg at this time, so I'm just relieved to know that it's looking like I have better control over my weight this time around. I'm hoping to gain 12-ish.

I had gestational diabetes with DD so they tested me early this time at 16 weeks and all was well :) There'll be a repeat when I'm 24 weeks.

That's all! I'll try to stop by more often!

It's a GIRL!

Baby girl was not very social, and rolled over for a nap not long after we started, but we saw what we needed to see! We are SOOO excited!

Congrats babyvaughan! Any names for your little guy yet?

Wonderful news on your little pink bundle Hickory!

Sorry you're suffering with daily headaches Katie

Would love it if we could keep track of :blue: vs :pink: bumps but understand if that's too much work Angelob

Nice hearing of everyone's baby buys, but did make me feel a bit off about having not purchased anything yet.

I think we are nearly all in 2nd tri now? yes? Looking forward to hitting the next big milestone with you ladies. Hope everyone is well

I have an appointment with a specialist tomorrow. My doctor assured me it was just a precaution since i am high risk to make sure everything is going good. Kinda nervous. Really hoping to all good news. Has anyone had to see a specialist and have any idea what i should expect?

We are :blue: team blue!
Baby boy is healthy (she checked as a courtesy and out of curiosity) and growing well.
Over the moon!

I'd love if we could keep track of team blue and pink! I don't have a hope of keeping track of it otherwise!

Congrats on your boy Katie!

Lexi - I see a specialist due to being high risk. It is a precaution if they have concerns on something specfic they will tell you. I saw MFM just because i was high risk but when they found an issue with my sons kidneys at 20 weeks they let me know before sending me to a different specialist what they found, why were being sent there, and what the risks were! I hope your appointment went well!

No names for our boy yet! I have been looking but nothing has stood out to me! I worked in childcare several years therefore many names I have a face to and can't use them lol.

Congrats Katie on TEAM BLUE!! I am Team blue too!
My last pregnancy group we just put the emoji by everyones names and those who were finding out til birth were yellowing then at birth they were changed and everyones birth weight was added! It was fun to see how many boys and girls we ended up with!

I'm so happy we are all moving into second trimester!! I believe we should all be by the end of the week!

Thanks everyone. Everything went great. Doctor just assured us that it was just a precaution and I didn't have anything to be worried about. Tristan is already a silly baby, he was laying upside down on his head in the ultrasound. As long as things progress as they have we should have a healthy baby boy. 20181025_161920.jpg 20181025_161920.jpg 20181025_161920.jpg 20181025_161848.jpg 20181025_161302.jpg
